- それから， イエス が 舟に 乘り ¿まれると， 弟子たちも 從った．
- すると 突然， 海上に 激しい 暴風が 起って， 舟は 波にのまれそうになった． ところが， イエス は 眠っておられた．
- そこで 弟子たちはみそばに 寄ってきて イエス を 起し， 「主よ， お 助けください， わたしたちは 死にそうです 」と 言った．
- すると イエス は 彼らに 言われた， 「なぜこわがるのか， 信仰の 薄い 者たちよ 」． それから 起きあがって， 風と 海とをおしかりになると， 大なぎになった．
- 彼らは 驚いて 言った， 「このかたはどういう 人なのだろう． 風も 海も 從わせるとは 」．

- And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
- And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
- And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
- And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
- But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

- それから， 向こう 岸， ガダラ 人の 地に 着かれると， 惡靈につかれたふたりの 者が， 墓場から 出てきて イエス に 出會った． 彼らは 手に 負えない 亂暴者で， だれもその 邊の 道を 通ることができないほどであった．
- すると 突然， 彼らは 叫んで 言った， 「神の 子よ， あなたはわたしどもとなんの 係わりがあるのです． まだその 時ではないのに， ここにきて， わたしどもを 苦しめるのですか 」．
- さて， そこからはるか 離れた 所に， おびただしい 豚の 群れが 飼ってあった．
- 惡靈どもは イエス に 願って 言った， 「もしわたしどもを 追い 出されるのなら， あの 豚の 群れの 中につかわして 下さい 」．
- そこで， イエス が「行け 」と 言われると， 彼らは 出て 行って， 豚の 中へはいり ¿んだ． すると， その 群れ 全體が， がけから 海へなだれを 打って 驅け 下り， 水の 中で 死んでしまった．

- And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
- And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
- And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
- So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
- And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

- 飼う 者たちは 逃げて 町に 行き， 惡靈につかれた 者たちのことなど， いっさいを 知らせた．
- すると， 町中の 者が イエス に 會いに 出てきた． そして， イエス に 會うと， この 地方から 去ってくださるようにと 賴んだ．

- And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
- And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.
