- 復活ということはないと 主張していた サドカイ 人たちが， その 日， イエス のもとにきて 質問した，
- 「先生， モ ― セ はこう 言っています， 『もし， ある 人が 子がなくて 死んだなら， その 弟は 兄の 妻をめとって， 兄のために 子をもうけねばならない 』．
- さて， わたしたちのところに 七人の 兄弟がありました． 長男は 妻をめとったが 死んでしまい， そして 子がなかったので， その 妻を 弟に 殘しました．
- 次男も 三男も， ついに 七人とも 同じことになりました．
- 最後に， その 女も 死にました．

- The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
- Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
- Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
- Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
- And last of all the woman died also.

- すると 復活の 時には， この 女は， 七人のうちだれの 妻なのでしょうか． みんながこの 女を 妻にしたのですが 」．
- イエス は 答えて 言われた， 「あなたがたは 聖書も 神の 力も 知らないから， 思い 違いをしている．
- 븹� · フ 時には， 彼らはめとったり， とついだりすることはない． 彼らは 天にいる 御使のようなものである．
- また， 死人の 復活については， 神があなたがたに 言われた 言葉を 讀んだことがないのか．
- 『わたしは アブラハム の 神， イサク の 神， ヤコブ の 神である 』と 書いてある． 神は 死んだ 者の 神ではなく， 生きている 者の 神である 」．

- Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
- Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
- For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
- But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
- I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

- 群衆はこれを 聞いて， イエス の 敎に 驚いた．

- And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.
