- 夜が 明けるとすぐ， 祭司長たちは 長老， 律法學者たち， および 全議會と 協議をこらした 末， イエス を 縛って 引き 出し， ピラト に 渡した．
- ピラト は イエス に 尋ねた， 「あなたが ユダヤ 人の 王であるか 」． イエス は， 「そのとおりである 」とお 答えになった．
- そこで 祭司長たちは， イエス のことをいろいろと 訴えた．
- ピラト はもう 一度 イエス に 尋ねた， 「何も 答えないのか． 見よ， あなたに 對してあんなにまで 次¿に 訴えているではないか 」．
- しかし， イエス は ピラト が 不思議に 思うほどに， もう 何もお 答えにならなかった．

- And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
- And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it.
- And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
- And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.
- But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

- さて， 祭のたびごとに， ピラト は 人¿が 願い 出る 囚人ひとりを， ゆるしてやることにしていた．
- ここに， 暴動を 起し 人殺しをしてつながれていた 暴徒の 中に， バラバ という 者がいた．
- 群衆が 押しかけてきて， いつものとおりにしてほしいと 要求しはじめたので，
- ピラト は 彼らにむかって， 「おまえたちは ユダヤ 人の 王をゆるしてもらいたいのか 」と 言った．
- それは， 祭司長たちが イエス を 引きわたしたのは， ねたみのためであることが， ピラト にわかっていたからである．

- Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
- And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
- And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.
- But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
- For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

- しかし 祭司長たちは， バラバ の 方をゆるしてもらうように， 群衆を �촬沂랴엔�
- そこで ピラト はまた 彼らに 言った， 「それでは， おまえたちが ユダヤ 人の 王と 呼んでいるあの 人は， どうしたらよいか 」．
- 彼らは， また 叫んだ， 「十字架につけよ 」．
- ピラト は 言った， 「あの 人は， いったい， どんな 惡事をしたのか 」． すると， 彼らは 一そう 激しく 叫んで， 「十字架につけよ 」と 言った．
- それで， ピラト は 群衆を 滿足させようと 思って， バラバ をゆるしてやり， イエス をむち 打ったのち， 十字架につけるために 引きわたした．

- But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
- And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?
- And they cried out again, Crucify him.
- Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
- And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

- 兵士たちは イエス を， 邸宅， すなわち 總督官邸の 內に 連れて 行き， 全部隊を 呼び 集めた．
- そして イエス に 紫の 衣を 着せ， いばらの 冠を 編んでかぶらせ，
- 「ユダヤ 人の 王， ばんざい 」と 言って 敬禮をしはじめた．
- また， 葦の 棒でその 頭をたたき， つばきをかけ， ひざまずいて 拜んだりした．
- こうして， イエス を 嘲弄したあげく， 紫の 衣をはぎとり， 元の 上着を 着せた． それから， 彼らは イエス を 十字架につけるために 引き 出した．

- And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.
- And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
- And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
- And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
- And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

- そこへ， アレキサンデル と ルポス との 父 シモン という クレネ 人が， 郊外からきて 通りかかったので， 人¿は イエス の 十字架を 無理に 負わせた．
- そして イエス を ゴルゴダ ， その 意味は， されこうべ， という 所に 連れて 行った．
- そして イエス に， ¿藥をまぜたぶどう 酒をさし 出したが， お 受けにならなかった．
- それから， イエス を 十字架につけた． そしてくじを 引いて， だれが 何を 取るかを 定めたうえ， イエス の 着物を 分けた．
- イエス を 十字架につけたのは， 朝の 九時ごろであった．

- And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.
- And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.
- And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.
- And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.
- And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

- イエス の 罪狀書きには「ユダヤ 人の 王 」と， しるしてあった．
- また， イエス と 共にふたりの 强盜を， ひとりを 右に， ひとりを 左に， 十字架につけた．
- 〔こうして「彼は 罪人たちのひとりに 數えられた 」と 書いてある 言葉が 成就したのである． 〕
- そこを 通りかかった 者たちは， 頭を 振りながら， イエス をののしって 言った， 「ああ， 神殿を 打ちこわして 三日のうちに 建てる 者よ，
- 十字架からおりてきて 自分を 救え 」．

- And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
- And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
- And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
- And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,
- Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

- 祭司長たちも 同じように， 律法學者たちと 一緖になって， かわるがわる 嘲弄して 言った， 「他人を 救ったが， 自分自身を 救うことができない．
- イスラエル の 王 キリスト ， いま 十字架からおりてみるがよい． それを 見たら 信じよう 」． また， 一緖に 十字架につけられた 者たちも， イエス をののしった．
- ¿の 十二時になると， 全地は 暗くなって， 三時に 及んだ．
- そして 三時に， イエス は 大聲で， 「エロイ ， エロイ ， ラマ ， サバクタニ 」と 叫ばれた． それは「わが 神， わが 神， どうしてわたしをお 見捨てになったのですか 」という 意味である．
- すると， そばに 立っていたある 人¿が， これを 聞いて 言った， 「そら， エリヤ を 呼んでいる 」．

- Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
- Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
- And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
- And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
- And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.

- ひとりの 人が 走って 行き， 海綿に 酢いぶどう 酒を 含ませて 葦の 棒につけ， イエス に 飮ませようとして 言った， 「待て， エリヤ が 彼をおろしに 來るかどうか， 見ていよう 」．
- イエス は 聲高く 叫んで， ついに 息をひきとられた．
- そのとき， 神殿の 幕が 上から 下まで 眞二つに 裂けた．
- イエス にむかって 立っていた 百卒長は， このようにして 息をひきとられたのを 見て 言った， 「まことに， この 人は 神の 子であった 」．
- また， 遠くの 方から 見ている 女たちもいた． その 中には， マグダラ の マリヤ ， 小 ヤコブ と ヨセ との 母 マリヤ ， また サロメ がいた．

- And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.
- And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
- And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
- And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
- There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

- 彼らは イエス が ガリラヤ におられたとき， そのあとに 從って 仕えた 女たちであった． なおそのほか， イエス と 共に エルサレム に 上ってきた 多くの 女たちもいた．
- さて， すでに 夕がたになったが， その 日は 準備の 日， すなわち 安息日の 前日であったので，
- アリマタヤ の ヨセフ が 大膽にも ピラト の 所へ 行き， イエス のからだの 引取りかたを 願った． 彼は 地位の 高い 議員であって， 彼自身， 神の 國を 待ち 望んでいる 人であった．
- ピラト は， イエス がもはや 死んでしまったのかと 不審に 思い， 百卒長を 呼んで， もう 死んだのかと 尋ねた．
- そして， 百卒長から 確かめた 上， 死體を ヨセフ に 渡した．

- (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.
- And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
- Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
- And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
- And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

- そこで， ヨセフ は 亞麻布を 買い 求め， イエス をとりおろして， その 亞麻布に 包み， 岩を 掘って 造った 墓に 納め， 墓の 入口に 石をころがしておいた．
- マグダラ の マリヤ と ヨセ の 母 マリヤ とは， イエス が 納められた 場所を 見とどけた．

- And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
- And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.
