- われらがもしわれらの 神の 名を 忘れ， ほかの 神に 手を 伸べたことがあったならば，
- 神はこれを 見あらわされないでしょうか． 神は 心の 秘密をも 知っておられるからです．
- ところがわれらはあなたのためにひねもす 殺されて， ほふられる 羊のようにみなされました．
- 主よ， 起きてください． なぜ 眠っておられるのですか． 目をさましてください． われらをとこしえに 捨てないでください．
- なぜあなたはみ 顔を 隱されるのですか． なぜわれらの 惱みと， しえたげを ／お 忘れになるのですか．

- If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
- Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
- Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
- Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
- Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
