사사기 3:1-4:24

 이스라엘에서 전쟁을 알지 못하는 세대가 일어나 하나님 앞에 악을 행하자, 하나님께서 그들을 외적의 손에 붙이셨다. 백성들이 범죄할 때마다 하나님께서는 메소보다미아, 모압, 블레셋을 통해 그들을 치셨고, 이에 백성들이 하나님께 부르짖자 옷니엘과 에훗과 삼갈을 사사로 세워 그들을 구원하셨다. 그러나 그 후에도 백성들은 다시 타락하여 가나안의 압제를 받게 되었다. 이 때 드보라가 사사가 되어 이스라엘을 가나안의 압제에서 구원하였다.
  
  옷니엘과 에훗(3:1-3:31)    
 
  1. すべて カナン のもろもろの 戰爭を 知らない イスラエル の 人¿を 試みるために， 主が 殘しておかれた 國民は 次のとおりである．
  2. これはただ イスラエル の 代¿の 子孫， 特にまだ 戰爭を 知らないものに， それを 敎え 知らせるためである．
  3. すなわち ペリシテ びとの 五人の 君たちと， すべての カナン びとと， シドン びとおよび レバノン 山に 住んで， バアル · ヘルモン 山から ハマテ の 入口までを 占めていた ヒビ びとなどであって，
  4. これらをもって イスラエル を 試み， 主が モ ― セ によって 先祖たちに 命じられた 命令に， 彼らが 從うかどうかを 知ろうとされたのである．
  5. しかるに イスラエル の 人¿は カナン びと， ヘテ びと， アモリ びと， ペリジ びと， ヒビ びと， エブス びとのうちに 住んで，
  1. Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
  2. Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;
  3. Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.
  4. And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.
  5. And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:
  1. 彼らの 娘を 妻にめとり， また 自分たちの 娘を 彼らのむすこに 與えて， 彼らの 神¿に 仕えた．
  2. こうして イスラエル の 人¿は 主の 前に 惡を 行い， 自分たちの 神， 主を 忘れて， バアル および アシラ に 仕えた．

  4. しかし， イスラエル の 人¿が 主に 呼ばわったとき， 主は イスラエル の 人¿のために， ひとりの 救助者を 起して 彼らを 救われた． すなわち カレブ の 弟， ケナズ の 子 オテニエル である．
  5. 主の 靈が オテニエル に 臨んだので， 彼は イスラエル をさばいた． 彼が 戰いに 出ると， 主は メソポタミヤ の 王 クシャン · リシャタイム をその 手にわたされたので， オテニエル の 手は クシャン · リシャタイム に 勝ち，
  1. And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods.
  2. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.
  3. Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years.
  4. And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.
  5. And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.
  1. 國は 四十年のあいだ 太平であった． ケナズ の 子 オテニエル はついに 死んだ．

  1. And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.
  2. And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.
  3. And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.
  4. So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
  5. But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.
  1. エホデ は 長さ 一 キュビト のもろ 刃のつるぎを 作らせ， それを 衣の 下， 右のももの 上に 帶びて，
  2. モアブ の 王 エグロン にみつぎ 物をもってきた． エグロン は 非常に 肥えた 人であった．
  3. エホデ がみつぎ 物をささげ 終ったとき， 彼はみつぎ 物をになってきた 民を 歸らせ，
  4. かれ 自身は ギルガル に 近い 石像のある 所から 引きかえして 言った， 「王よ， わたしはあなたに 申しあげる 機密をもっています 」． そこで 王は「さがっておれ 」と 言ったので， かたわらに 立っている 者は 皆出て 行った．
  5. エホデ が 王のところにはいって 來ると， 王はひとりで ¿みの 高殿に 座していたので， エホデ が「わたしは 神の 命によってあなたに 申しあげることがあります 」と 言うと， 王は 座から 立ちあがった．
  1. But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh.
  2. And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.
  3. And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the present.
  4. But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.
  5. And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.
  1. そのとき エホデ は 左の 手を 伸ばし， 右のももからつるぎをとって 王の 腹を 刺した．
  2. つるぎのつかも 刃と 共にはいったが， つるぎを 腹から 拔き 出さなかったので， 脂肪が 刃をふさいだ． そして 汚物が 出た．
  3. エホデ は 廊下に 出て， 王のおる 高殿の 戶を 閉じ， 錠をおろした．
  4. 彼が 出た 後， 王のしもべどもがきて， 高殿の 戶に 錠のおろされてあるのを 見て， 「王はきっと ¿み 殿のへやで 足をおおっておられるのだ 」と 思った．
  5. しもべどもは 長いあいだ 待っていたが， 王がなお 高殿の 戶を 開かないので， 心配してかぎをとって 開いて 見ると， 王は 床にたおれて 死んでいた．
  1. And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:
  2. And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out.
  3. Then Ehud went forth through the porch, and shut the doors of the parlour upon him, and locked them.
  4. When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer chamber.
  5. And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.
  1. エホデ は 彼らのためらうまに， のがれて 石像のある 所を 過ぎ， セイラ に 逃げていった．
  2. 彼が 行って エフライム の 山地に ラッパ を 吹き 鳴らしたので， イスラエル の 人¿は 彼と 共に 山地から 下って エホデ に 從った．

  4. そのとき 彼らは モアブ びとおおよそ 一万人を 殺した． これはいずれも 肥え 太った 勇士であって， ひとりも， のがれた 者がなかった．
  5. こうして モアブ はその 日 イスラエル の 手に 服し， 國は 八十年のあいだ 太平であった．
  1. And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirath.
  2. And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.
  3. And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.
  4. And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man.
  5. So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.
  1. エホデ の 後， アナテ の 子 シャムガル が 起り， 牛のむちをもって ペリシテ びと 六百人を 殺した． この 人もまた イスラエル を 救った．
  1. And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.
 
  드보라와 바락(4:1-4:24)    
 
  1. エホデ が 死んだ 後， イスラエル の 人¿がまた 主の 前に 惡をおこなったので，
  2. 主は， ハゾル で 世を 治めていた カナン の 王 ヤビン の 手に 彼らを 賣りわたされた． ヤビン の 軍勢の 長は ハロセテ · ゴイム に 住んでいた シセラ であった．
  3. 彼は 鐵の 戰車九百兩をもち， 二十年の 間 イスラエル の 人¿を 激しくしえたげたので， イスラエル の 人¿は 主に 向かって 呼ばわった．
  4. そのころ ラピドテ の 妻， 女預言者 デボラ が イスラエル をさばいていた．
  5. 彼女は エフライム の 山地の ラマ と ベテル の 間にある デボラ のしゅろの 木の 下に 座し， イスラエル の 人¿は 彼女のもとに 上ってきて， さばきをうけた．
  1. And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.
  2. And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
  3. And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
  4. And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
  5. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
  1. デボラ は 人をつかわして， ナフタリ の ケデシ から アビノアム の 子 バラク を 招いて 言った， 「イスラエル の 神， 主はあなたに， こう 命じられるではありませんか， 『ナフタリ の 部族と ゼブルン の 部族から 一万人を 率い， 行って， タボル 山に 陣をしけ．
  2. わたしは ヤビン の 軍勢の 長 シセラ とその 戰車と 軍隊とを キション 川に 引き 寄せて， あなたに 出あわせ， 彼をあなたの 手にわたすであろう 』」．
  3. バラク は 彼女に 言った， 「あなたがもし 一緖に 行ってくだされば， わたしは 行きます． しかし， 一緖に 行ってくださらないならば， 行きません 」．
  4. デボラ は 言った， 「必ずあなたと 一緖に 行きます． しかしあなたは 今行く 道では 譽を 得ないでしょう． 主は シセラ を 女の 手にわたされるからです 」． デボラ は 立って バラク と 一緖に ケデシ に 行った．
  5. バラク は ゼブルン と ナフタリ を ケデシ に 呼び 集め， 一万人を 從えて 上った． デボラ も 彼と 共に 上った．
  1. And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
  2. And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.
  3. And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.
  4. And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
  5. And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
  1. 時に ケニ びと ヘベル は モ ― セ のしゅうと ホバブ の 子孫である ケニ びとから 分れて， ケデシ に 近い ザアナイム のかしの 木までも 遠く 行って 天幕を 張っていた．
  2. アビノアム の 子 バラク が タボル 山に 上ったと， 人¿が シセラ に 告げたので，
  3. シセラ は 自分の 戰車の 全部すなわち 鐵の 戰車九百兩と， 自分と 共におるすべての 民を ハロセテ · ゴイム から キション 川に 呼び 集めた．
  4. デボラ は バラク に 言った， 「さあ， 立ちあがりなさい． きょうは 主が シセラ をあなたの 手にわたされる 日です． 主はあなたに 先立って 出られるではありませんか 」． そこで バラク は 一万人を 從えて タボル 山から 下った．
  5. 主はつるぎをもって シセラ とすべての 戰車および 軍勢をことごとく バラク の 前に 擊ち 敗られたので， シセラ は 戰車から 飛びおり， 徒步で 逃げ 去った．
  1. Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.
  2. And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor.
  3. And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon.
  4. And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
  5. And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
  1. バラク は 戰車と 軍勢とを 追擊して ハロセテ · ゴイム まで 行った． シセラ の 軍勢はことごとくつるぎにたおれて， 殘ったものはひとりもなかった．
  2. しかし シセラ は 徒步で 逃げ 去って， ケニ びと ヘベル の 妻 ヤエル の 天幕に 行った． ハゾル の 王 ヤビン と ケニ びと ヘベル の 家とは 互にむつまじかったからである．
  3. ヤエル は 出てきて シセラ を 迎え， 彼に 言った， 「おはいりください． 主よ， どうぞうちへおはいりください． 恐れるにはおよびません 」． シセラ が 天幕にはいったので， ヤエル は 毛布をもって 彼をおおった．
  4. シセラ は ヤエル に 言った， 「どうぞ， わたしに 水を 少し 飮ませてください． のどがかわきましたから 」． ヤエル は 乳の 皮袋を 開いて 彼に 飮ませ， また 彼をおおった．
  5. シセラ はまた ヤエル に 言った， 「天幕の 入口に 立っていてください． もし 人がきて， あなたに『だれか， ここにおりますか 』と 問うならば『おりません 』と 答えてください 」．
  1. But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.
  2. Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
  3. And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle.
  4. And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
  5. Again he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and enquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No.
  1. しかし 彼が 疲れて 熟睡したとき， ヘベル の 妻 ヤエル は 天幕のくぎを 取り， 手に 槌を 携えて 彼に 忍び 寄り， こめかみにくぎを 打ち ¿んで 地に 刺し 通したので， 彼は 息絶えて 死んだ．
  2. バラク が シセラ を 追ってきたとき， ヤエル は 彼を 出迎えて 言った， 「おいでなさい． あなたが 求めている 人をお 見せしましょう 」． 彼が ヤエル の 天幕にはいって 見ると， シセラ はこめかみにくぎを 打たれて 倒れて 死んでいた．
  3. こうしてその 日， 神は カナン の 王 ヤビン を イスラエル の 人¿の 前に 擊ち 敗られた．
  4. そして イスラエル の 人¿の 手はますます カナン びとの 王 ヤビン の 上に 重くなって， ついに カナン の 王 ヤビン を 滅ぼすに 至った．
  1. Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.
  2. And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.
  3. So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.
  4. And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
