	사무엘하 12:1-13:39 밧세바 사건에 대하여 나단의 책망과 경고를 들은 다윗은 즉시로 죄를 자백하고 회개했다. 하나님께서는 이 사건으로 인해 다윗의 집안에 재난이 끊이지 않으리라는 경고의 말씀을 하시고, 밧세바의 아이의 생명을 거둬 가셨다. 그 말씀대로 다윗의 장자 암논이 누이 다말을 강제 추행하고 내어 버리는 사건이 일어났다. 이 일을 알게 된 다말의 친오라비 압살롬은 암논을 보복 살해했다.

	나단의 책망과 다윗의 회개(12:1-12:31)

主はナタンをダビデにつかわされたので，彼はダビデの所にきて言った，「ある町にふたりの人があって，ひとりは富み，ひとりは貧しかった．

富んでいる人は非常に多くの羊と牛を持っていたが，

貧しい人は自分が買った一頭の小さい雌の小羊のほかは何も持っていなかった．彼がそれを育てたので，その小羊は彼および彼の子供たちと共に成長し，彼の食物を食べ，彼のわんから飮み，彼のふところで寢て，彼にとっては娘のようであった．

時に，ひとりの旅びとが，その富んでいる人のもとにきたが，自分の羊または牛のうちから一頭を取って，自分の所にきた旅びとのために調理することを惜しみ，その貧しい人の小羊を取って，これを自分の所にきた人のために調理した」．

ダビデはその人の事をひじょうに怒ってナタンに言った，「主は生きておられる．この事をしたその人は死ぬべきである．

And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.

The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:

But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.

And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.

And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:

かつその人はこの事をしたため，またあわれまなかったため，その小羊を四倍にして償わなければならない」．

ナタンはダビデに言った，「あなたがその人です．イスラエルの神，主はこう仰せられる，『わたしはあなたに油を注いでイスラエルの王とし，あなたをサウルの手から救いだし，

あなたに主人の家を與え，主人の妻たちをあなたのふところに與え，またイスラエルとユダの家をあなたに與えた．もし少なかったならば，わたしはもっと多くのものをあなたに增し加えたであろう．

どうしてあなたは主の言葉を輕んじ，その目の前に惡事をおこなったのですか．あなたはつるぎをもってヘテびとウリヤを殺し，その妻をとって自分の妻とした．すなわちアンモンの人¿のつるぎをもって彼を殺した．

あなたがわたしを輕んじてヘテびとウリヤの妻をとり，自分の妻としたので，つるぎはいつまでもあなたの家を離れないであろう』．

And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

主はこう仰せられる，『見よ，わたしはあなたの家からあなたの上に災を起すであろう．わたしはあなたの目の前であなたの妻たちを取って，隣びとに與えるであろう．その人はこの太陽の前で妻たちと一緖に寢るであろう．

あなたはひそかにそれをしたが，わたしは全イスラエルの前と，太陽の前にこの事をするのである』」．

ダビデはナタンに言った，「わたしは主に罪をおかしました」．ナタンはダビデに言った，「主もまたあなたの罪を除かれました．あなたは死ぬことはないでしょう．

しかしあなたはこの行いによって大いに主を侮ったので，あなたに生れる子供はかならず死ぬでしょう」．

こうしてナタンは家に歸った．さて主は，ウリヤの妻がダビデに産んだ子を擊たれたので，病氣になった．

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

ダビデはその子のために神に嘆願した．すなわちダビデは斷食して，へやにはいり終夜地に伏した．

ダビデの家の長老たちは，彼のかたわらに立って彼を地から起そうとしたが，彼は起きようとはせず，また彼らと一緖に食事をしなかった．

七日目にその子は死んだ．ダビデの家來たちはその子が死んだことをダビデに告げるのを恐れた．それは彼らが，「見よ，子のなお生きている間に，われわれが彼に語ったのに彼はその言葉を聞きいれなかった．どうして彼にその子の死んだことを告げることができようか．彼は自らを害するかも知れない」と思ったからである．

しかしダビデは，家來たちが互にささやき合うのを見て，その子の死んだのを悟り，家來たちに言った，「子は死んだのか」．彼らは言った，「死なれました」．

そこで，ダビデは地から起き上がり，身を洗い，油をぬり，その着物を替えて，主の家にはいって拜した．そののち自分の家に行き，求めて自分のために食物を備えさせて食べた．

David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.

And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?

But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

家來たちは彼に言った，「あなたのなさったこの事はなんでしょうか．あなたは子の生きている間はその子のために斷食して泣かれました．しかし子が死ぬと，あなたは起きて食事をなさいました」．

ダビデは言った，「子の生きている間に，わたしが斷食して泣いたのは，『主がわたしをあわれんで，この子を生かしてくださるかも知れない』と思ったからです．

しかし今は死んだので，わたしはどうして斷食しなければならないでしょうか．わたしは再び彼をかえらせることができますか．わたしは彼の所に行くでしょうが，彼はわたしの所に歸ってこないでしょう」．

ダビデは妻バテシバを慰め，彼女の所にはいって，彼女と共に寢たので，彼女は男の子を産んだ．ダビデはその名をソロモンと名づけた．主はこれを愛された．

そして預言者ナタンをつかわし，命じてその名をエデデアと呼ばせられた．

Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.

And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.

さてヨアブはアンモンの人¿のラバを攻めて王の町を取った．

ヨアブは使者をダビデにつかわして言った，「わたしはラバを攻めて水の町を取りました．

あなたは今，殘りの民を集め，この町に向かって陣をしき，これを取りなさい．わたしがこの町を取って，人がわたしの名をもって，これを呼ぶようにならないためです」．

そこでダビデは民をことごとく集めてラバへ行き，攻めてこれを取った．

そしてダビデは彼らの王の冠をその頭から取りはなした．それは金で重さは一タラントであった．寶石がはめてあり，それをダビデの頭に置いた．ダビデはその町からぶんどり物を非常に多く持ち出した．

And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.

And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters.

Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.

And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.

And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.

またダビデはそのうちの民を引き出して，彼らをのこぎりや，鐵のつるはし，鐵のおのを使う仕事につかせ，また，れんが造りの勞役につかせた．彼はアンモンの人¿のすべての町にこのようにした．そしてダビデと民とは皆エルサレムに歸った．

And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick-kiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.

	암논과 다말(13:1-13:19)

さてダビデの子アブサロムには名をタマルという美しい妹があったが，その後ダビデの子アムノンはこれを戀した．

アムノンは妹タマルのために惱んでついにわずらった．それはタマルが處女であって，アムノンは彼女に何事もすることができないと思ったからである．

ところがアムノンにはひとりの友だちがあった．名をヨナダブといい，ダビデの兄弟シメアの子である．ヨナダブはひじょうに賢い人であった．

彼はアムノンに言った，「王子よ，あなたは，どうして朝ごとに，そんなにやせ衰えるのですか．わたしに話さないのですか」．アムノンは彼に言った，「わたしは兄弟アブサロムの妹タマルを戀しているのです」．

ヨナダブは彼に言った，「あなたは病と僞り，寢床に橫たわって，あなたの父がきてあなたを見るとき彼に言いなさい，『どうぞ，わたしの妹タマルをこさせ，わたしの所に食物を運ばせてください．そして彼女がわたしの目の前で食物をととのえ，彼女の手からわたしが食べることのできるようにさせてください』」．

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do anything to her.

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

そこでアムノンは橫になって病と僞ったが，王がきて彼を見た時，アムノンは王に言った，「どうぞわたしの妹タマルをこさせ，わたしの目の前で二つの菓子を作らせて，彼女の手からわたしが食べることのできるようにしてください」．

ダビデはタマルの家に人をつかわして言わせた，「あなたの兄アムノンの家へ行って，彼のために食物をととのえなさい」．

そこでタマルはその兄アムノンの家へ行ったところ，アムノンは寢ていた．タマルは粉を取って，これをこね，彼の目の前で，菓子を作り，その菓子を燒き，

なべを取って彼の前にそれをあけた．しかし彼は食べることを拒んだ．そしてアムノンは，「みな，わたしを離れて出てください」と言ったので，皆，彼を離れて出た．

アムノンはタマルに言った，「食物を寢室に持ってきてください．わたしはあなたの手から食べます」．そこでタマルは自分の作った菓子をとって，寢室にはいり兄アムノンの所へ持っていった．

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon's house, and dress him meat.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

タマルが彼に食べさせようとして近くに持って行った時，彼はタマルを捕えて彼女に言った，「妹よ，來て，わたしと寢なさい」．

タマルは言った，「いいえ，兄上よ，わたしをはずかしめてはなりません．このようなことはイスラエルでは行われません．この愚かなことをしてはなりません．

しかしアムノンは彼女の言うことを聞こうともせず，タマルよりも强かったので，タマルをはずかしめてこれと共に寢た．

それからアムノンは，ひじょうに深くタマルを憎むようになった．彼女を憎む憎しみは，彼女を戀した戀よりも大きかった．アムノンは彼女に言った，「立って，行きなさい」．

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

タマルはアムノンに言った，「いいえ，兄上よ，わたしを返すことは，あなたがさきにわたしになさった事よりも大きい惡です」．しかしアムノンは彼女の言うことを聞こうともせず，

彼に仕えている若者を呼んで言った，「この女をわたしの所から外におくり出し，そのあとに戶を閉ざすがよい」．

この時，タマルは長そでの着物を着ていた．昔，王の姬たちの處女である者はこのような着物を着たからである．アムノンのしもべは彼女を外に出して，そのあとに戶を閉ざした．

タマルは灰を頭にかぶり，着ていた長そでの着物を裂き，手を頭にのせて，叫びながら去って行った．

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

	압살롬의 보복(13:20-13:39)

兄アブサロムは彼女に言った，「兄アムノンがあなたと一緖にいたのか．しかし妹よ，今は默っていなさい．彼はあなたの兄です．この事を心にとめなくてよろしい」．こうしてタマルは兄アブサロムの家に寂しく住んでいた．

ダビデ王はこれらの事をことごとく聞いて，ひじょうに怒った．

アブサロムはアムノンに良いことも惡いことも語ることをしなかった．それはアムノンがアブサロムの妹タマルをはずかしめたので，アブサロムが彼を憎んでいたからである．

滿二年の後，アブサロムはエフライムの近くにあるバアル · ハゾルで羊の毛を切らせていた時，王の子たちをことごとく招いた．

そしてアブサロムは王のもとにきて言った，「見よ，しもべは羊の毛を切らせております．どうぞ王も王の家來たちも，しもべと共にきてください」．

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.

But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons.

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

王はアブサロムに言った，「いいえ，わが子よ，われわれが皆行ってはならない．あなたの重荷になるといけないから」．アブサロムはダビデにしいて願った．しかしダビデは行くことを承知せず彼に祝福を與えた．

そこでアブサロムは言った，「それでは，どうぞわたしの兄アムノンをわれわれと共に行かせてください」．王は彼に言った，「どうして彼があなたと共に行かなければならないのか」．

しかしアブサロムは彼にしいて願ったので，ついにアムノンと王の子たちを皆，アブサロムと共に行かせた．

そこでアブサロムは若者たちに命じて言った，「アムノンが酒を飮んで，心樂しくなった時を見すまし，わたしがあなたがたに，『アムノンを擊て』と言う時，彼を殺しなさい．恐れることはない．わたしが命じるのではないか．雄¿しくしなさい．勇ましくしなさい」．

アブサロムの若者たちはアブサロムの命じたようにアムノンにおこなったので，王の子たちは皆立って，おのおのその ¿馬に乘って逃げた．

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

彼らがまだ着かないうちに，「アブサロムは王の子たちをことごとく殺して，ひとりも殘っている者がない」という知らせがダビデに達したので，

王は立ち，その着物を裂いて，地に伏した．そのかたわらに立っていた家來たちも皆その着物を裂いた．

しかしダビデの兄弟シメアの子ヨナダブは言った，「わが主よ，王の子たちである若者たちがみな殺されたと，お考えになってはなりません．アムノンだけが死んだのです．これは彼がアブサロムの妹タマルをはずかしめた日から，アブサロムの命によって定められていたことなのです．

それゆえ，わが主，王よ，王の子たちが皆死んだと思って，この事を心にとめられてはなりません．アムノンだけが死んだのです」．

アブサロムはのがれた．時に見張りをしていた若者が目をあげて見ると，山のかたわらのホロナイムの道から多くの民の來るのが見えた．

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.

ヨナダブは王に言った，「見よ，王の子たちがきました．しもべの言ったとおりです」．

彼が語ることを終った時，王の子たちはきて聲をあげて泣いた．王もその家來たちも皆，非常にはげしく泣いた．

しかしアブサロムはのがれて，ゲシュルの王アミホデの子タルマイのもとに行った．ダビデは日¿その子のために悲しんだ．

アブサロムはのがれてゲシュルに行き，三年の間そこにいた．

王は心に，アブサロムに會うことを，せつに望んだ．アムノンは死んでしまい，ダビデが彼のことはあきらめていたからである．

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king's sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.

So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
