- 主はとこしえに， その 契約をみこころにとめられる． これはよろず 代に 命じられたみ 言葉であって，
- アブラハム と 結ばれた 契約， イサク に 誓われた 約束である．
- 主はこれを 堅く 立てて， ヤコブ のために 定めとし， イスラエル のために， とこしえの 契約として
- 言われた， 「わたしはあなたに カナン の 地を 與えて， あなたがたの 受ける 嗣業の 分け 前とする 」と．
- このとき 彼らの 數は 少なくて， 數えるに 足らず， その 所で 旅びととなり，

- He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
- Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
- And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
- Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
- When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
