- われらは 先祖たちと 同じく 罪を 犯した． われらは 不義をなし， 惡しきことを 行った．
- われらの 先祖たちは エジプト にいたとき， あなたのくすしきみわざに 心を 留めず， あなたのいつくしみの 豊かなのを 思わず， 紅海で， いと 高き 神にそむいた．
- けれども 主はその 大能を 知らせようと， み 名のために 彼らを 救われた．
- 主は 紅海をしかって， それをかわかし， 彼らを 導いて 荒野を 行くように， 淵を 通らせられた．
- こうして 主は 彼らをあだの 手から 救い， 敵の 力からあがなわれた．

- We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
- Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
- Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
- He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
- And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
