- 彼らは， エジプト で 大いなる 事をなし， ハム の 地でくすしきみわざをなし， 紅海のほとりで 恐るべき 事をなされた ／救主なる 神を 忘れた．

- それゆえ， 主は 彼らを 滅ぼそうと 言われた． しかし 主のお 選びになった モ ― セ は ／破れ 口で 主のみ 前に 立ち， み 怒りを 引きかえして， 滅びを 免れさせた．
- 彼らは 麗しい 地を 侮り， 主の 約束を 信ぜず，
- またその 天幕でつぶやき， 主のみ 聲に 聞き 從わなかった．

- They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
- Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
- Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
- Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
- But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.
