- だから， ああ， すべて 人をさばく 者よ． あなたには 弁解の 余地がない． あなたは， 他人をさばくことによって， 自分自身を 罪に 定めている． さばくあなたも， 同じことを 行っているからである．
- わたしたちは， 神のさばきが， このような 事を 行う 者どもの 上に 正しく 下ることを， 知っている．
- ああ， このような 事を 行う 者どもをさばきながら， しかも 自ら 同じことを 行う 人よ． あなたは， 神のさばきをのがれうると 思うのか．
- それとも， 神の 慈愛があなたを 悔改めに 導くことも 知らないで， その 慈愛と 忍耐と 寬容との 富を 輕んじるのか．
- あなたのかたくなな， 悔改めのない 心のゆえに， あなたは， 神の 正しいさばきの 現れる 怒りの 日のために 神の 怒りを， 自分の 身に 積んでいるのである．

- Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
- But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
- And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
- Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
- But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

- 神は， おのおのに， そのわざにしたがって 報いられる．
- すなわち， 一方では， 耐え 忍んで 善を 行って， 光榮とほまれと 朽ちぬものとを 求める 人に， 永遠のいのちが 與えられ，
- 他方では， 黨派心をいだき， 眞理に 從わないで 不義に 從う 人に， 怒りと 激しい 憤りとが 加えられる．
- 惡を 行うすべての 人には， ユダヤ 人をはじめ ギリシヤ 人にも， 患難と 苦惱とが 與えられ，
- 善を 行うすべての 人には， ユダヤ 人をはじめ ギリシヤ 人にも， 光榮とほまれと 平安とが 與えられる．

- Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
- To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
- But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
- Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
- But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

- なぜなら， 神には， かたより 見ることがないからである．
- そのわけは， 律法なしに 罪を 犯した 者は， また 律法なしに 滅び， 律法のもとで 罪を 犯した 者は， 律法によってさばかれる．
- なぜなら， 律法を 聞く 者が， 神の 前に 義なるものではなく， 律法を 行う 者が， 義とされるからである．
- すなわち， 律法を 持たない 異邦人が， 自然のままで， 律法の 命じる 事を 行うなら， たとい 律法を 持たなくても， 彼らにとっては 自分自身が 律法なのである．
- 彼らは 律法の 要求がその 心にしるされていることを 現し， そのことを 彼らの 良心も 共にあかしをして， その 判斷が 互にあるいは 訴え， あるいは 弁明し 合うのである．

- For there is no respect of persons with God.
- For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
- (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
- For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
- Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

- そして， これらのことは， わたしの 福音によれば， 神が キリスト · イエス によって 人¿の 隱れた 事がらをさばかれるその 日に， 明らかにされるであろう．
