- 兄弟たちよ． わたしが 以前あなたがたに 傳えた 福音， あなたがたが 受けいれ， それによって 立ってきたあの 福音を， 思い 起してもらいたい．
- もしあなたがたが， いたずらに 信じないで， わたしの 宣べ 傳えたとおりの 言葉を 固く 守っておれば， この 福音によって 救われるのである．
- わたしが 最も 大事なこととしてあなたがたに 傳えたのは， わたし 自身も 受けたことであった． すなわち キリスト が， 聖書に 書いてあるとおり， わたしたちの 罪のために 死んだこと，
- そして 葬られたこと， 聖書に 書いてあるとおり， 三日目によみがえったこと，
- ケパ に 現れ， 次に， 十二人に 現れたことである．

- Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
- By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
- For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
- And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
- And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

- そののち， 五百人以上の 兄弟たちに， 同時に 現れた． その 中にはすでに 眠った 者たちもいるが， 大多數はいまなお 生存している．
- そののち， ヤコブ に 現れ， 次に， すべての 使徒たちに 現れ，
- そして 最後に， いわば， 月足らずに 生れたようなわたしにも， 現れたのである．
- 實際わたしは， 神の 敎會を 迫害したのであるから， 使徒たちの 中でいちばん 小さい 者であって， 使徒と 呼ばれる 値うちのない 者である．
- しかし， 神の 惠みによって， わたしは 今日あるを 得ているのである． そして， わたしに 賜わった 神の 惠みはむだにならず， むしろ， わたしは 彼らの 中のだれよりも 多く ¿いてきた． しかしそれは， わたし 自身ではなく， わたしと 共にあった 神の 惠みである．

- After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
- After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
- And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
- For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
- But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

- とにかく， わたしにせよ 彼らにせよ， そのように， わたしたちは 宣べ 傳えており， そのように， あなたがたは 信じたのである．
- さて， キリスト は 死人の 中からよみがえったのだと 宣べ 傳えられているのに， あなたがたの 中のある 者が， 死人の 復活などはないと 言っているのは， どうしたことか．
- もし 死人の 復活がないならば， キリスト もよみがえらなかったであろう．
- もし キリスト がよみがえらなかったとしたら， わたしたちの 宣敎はむなしく， あなたがたの 信仰もまたむなしい．
- すると， わたしたちは 神にそむく 僞證人にさえなるわけだ． なぜなら， 万一死人がよみがえらないとしたら， わたしたちは 神が 實際よみがえらせなかったはずの キリスト を， よみがえらせたと 言って， 神に 反するあかしを 立てたことになるからである．

- Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
- Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
- But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
- And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
- Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

- もし 死人がよみがえらないなら， キリスト もよみがえらなかったであろう．
- もし キリスト がよみがえらなかったとすれば， あなたがたの 信仰は 空虛なものとなり， あなたがたは， いまなお 罪の 中にいることになろう．
- そうだとすると， キリスト にあって 眠った 者たちは， 滅んでしまったのである．
- もしわたしたちが， この 世の 生活で キリスト にあって 單なる 望みをいだいているだけだとすれば， わたしたちは， すべての 人の 中で 最もあわれむべき 存在となる．
- しかし 事實， キリスト は 眠っている 者の 初穗として， 死人の 中からよみがえったのである．

- For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
- And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
- Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
- If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
- But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

- それは， 死がひとりの 人によってきたのだから， 死人の 復活もまた， ひとりの 人によってこなければならない．
- アダム にあってすべての 人が 死んでいるのと 同じように， キリスト にあってすべての 人が 生かされるのである．
- ただ， 各自はそれぞれの 順序に 從わねばならない． 最初は キリスト ， 次に， 主の 來臨に 際して キリスト に 屬する 者たち，
- それから 終末となって， その 時に， キリスト はすべての 君たち， すべての 權威と 權力とを 打ち 滅ぼして， 國を 父なる 神に 渡されるのである．
- なぜなら， キリスト はあらゆる 敵をその 足もとに 置く 時までは， 支配を 續けることになっているからである．

- For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
- For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
- But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
- Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
- For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

- 最後の 敵として 滅ぼされるのが， 死である．
- 「神は 万物を 彼の 足もとに 從わせた 」からである． ところが， 万物を 從わせたと 言われる 時， 万物を 從わせたかたがそれに 含まれていないことは， 明らかである．
- そして， 万物が 神に 從う 時には， 御子自身もまた， 万物を 從わせたそのかたに 從うであろう． それは， 神がすべての 者にあって， すべてとなられるためである．

- The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
- For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
- And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
