- 繰り 返して 言うが， だれも， わたしを 愚か 者と 思わないでほしい． もしそう 思うなら， 愚か 者あつかいにされてもよいから， わたしにも， 少し 誇らせてほしい．
- いま 言うことは， 主によって 言うのではなく， 愚か 者のように， 自分の 誇とするところを 信じきって 言うのである．
- 多くの 人が 肉によって 誇っているから， わたしも 誇ろう．
- あなたがたは 賢い 人たちなのだから， 喜んで 愚か 者を 忍んでくれるだろう．
- 實際， あなたがたは 奴隷にされても， 食い 倒されても， 略奪されても， いばられても， 顔をたたかれても， それを 忍んでいる．

- I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
- That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.
- Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.
- For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise.
- For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.

- 言うのも 恥ずかしいことだが， わたしたちは 弱すぎたのだ． もしある 人があえて 誇るなら， わたしは 愚か 者になって 言うが， わたしもあえて 誇ろう．
- 彼らは ヘブル 人なのか． わたしもそうである． 彼らは イスラエル 人なのか． わたしもそうである． 彼らは アブラハム の 子孫なのか． わたしもそうである．
- 彼らは キリスト の 僕なのか． わたしは 氣が 狂ったようになって 言う， わたしは 彼ら 以上にそうである． 苦勞したことはもっと 多く， 投獄されたことももっと 多く， むち 打たれたことは， はるかにおびただしく， 死に 面したこともしばしばあった．
- ユダヤ 人から 四十に 一つ 足りないむちを 受けたことが 五度，
- ロ ― マ 人にむちで 打たれたことが 三度， 石で 打たれたことが 一度， 難船したことが 三度， そして， 一¿夜， 海の 上を 漂ったこともある．

- I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.
- Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.

- 幾たびも 旅をし， 川の 難， 盜賊の 難， 同國民の 難， 異邦人の 難， 都會の 難， 荒野の 難， 海上の 難， にせ 兄弟の 難に 會い，
- 勞し 苦しみ， たびたび 眠られぬ 夜を 過ごし， 飢えかわき， しばしば 食物がなく， 寒さに 凍え， 裸でいたこともあった．
- なおいろいろの 事があった 外に， 日¿わたしに 迫って 來る 諸敎會の 心配ごとがある．
- だれかが 弱っているのに， わたしも 弱らないでおれようか． だれかが 罪を 犯しているのに， わたしの 心が 燃えないでおれようか．
- もし 誇らねばならないのなら， わたしは 自分の 弱さを 誇ろう．

- In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
