- われらは ／ バビロン の 川のほとりにすわり， シオン を 思い 出して 淚を 流した．
- われらはその 中のやなぎにわれらの 琴をかけた．
- われらをとりこにした 者が， われらに 歌を 求めたからである． われらを 苦しめる 者が 樂しみにしようと， 「われらに シオン の 歌を 一つうたえ 」と 言った．
- われらは 外國にあって， どうして 主の 歌をうたえようか．
- エルサレム よ， もしわたしがあなたを 忘れるならば， わが 右の 手を 衰えさせてください．

- By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
- We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
- For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
- How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land?
- If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

- もしわたしがあなたを 思い 出さないならば， もしわたしが エルサレム を ／わが 最高の 喜びとしないならば， わが 舌をあごにつかせてください．
- 主よ， エドム の 人¿が エルサレム の 日に， 「これを 破壞せよ， これを 破壞せよ， その 基までも 破壞せよ 」と ／言ったことを 覺えてください．
- 破壞者である バビロン の 娘よ， あなたがわれらにしたことを， あなたに 仕返しする 人はさいわいである．
- あなたのみどりごを 取って ／岩になげうつ 者はさいわいである．

- If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
- Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
- O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
- Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
