- あなたがたの 新月と 定めの 祭とは， わが 魂の 憎むもの， それはわたしの 重荷となり， わたしは， それを 負うのに 疲れた．
- あなたがたが 手を 伸べるとき， わたしは 目をおおって， あなたがたを 見ない． たとい 多くの 祈をささげても， わたしは 聞かない． あなたがたの 手は 血まみれである．

- 善を 行うことをならい， 公平を 求め， しえたげる 者を 戒め， みなしごを 正しく 守り， 寡婦の 訴えを 弁護せよ．
- 主は 言われる， さあ， われわれは 互に 論じよう． たといあなたがたの 罪は 緋のようであっても， 雪のように 白くなるのだ． 紅のように 赤くても， 羊の 毛のようになるのだ．
- もし， あなたがたが 快く 從うなら， 地の 良き 物を 食べることができる．
- しかし， あなたがたが 拒みそむくならば， つるぎで 滅ぼされる 」． これは 主がその 口で 語られたことである．

- あなたのつかさたちはそむいて， 盜びとの 仲間となり， みな， まいないを 好み， 贈り 物を 追い 求め， みなしごを 正しく 守らず， 寡婦の 訴えは 彼らに 屆かない．
- このゆえに， 主， 万軍の 主， イスラエル の 全能者は 言われる， 「ああ， わたしはわが 敵にむかって 憤りをもらし， わがあだにむかって 恨みをはらす．
- わたしはまた， わが 手をあなたに 向け， あなたのかすを 灰汁で 溶かすように 溶かし 去り， あなたの 混ざり 物をすべて 取り 除く．

- How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
- Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:

- And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
- Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
- And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
- For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
- For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.

- 强い 者も 麻くずのように， そのわざは 火花のようになり， その 二つのものは 共に 燃えて， それを 消す 者はない．

- And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
