- 神の 御旨による キリスト · イエス の 使徒 パウロ から， エペソ にいる， キリスト · イエス にあって 忠實な 聖徒たちへ．
- わたしたちの 父なる 神と 主 イエス · キリスト から， 惠みと 平安とが， あなたがたにあるように．
- ほむべきかな， わたしたちの 主 イエス · キリスト の 父なる 神． 神は キリスト にあって， 天上で 靈のもろもろの 祝福をもって， わたしたちを 祝福し，
- みまえにきよく 傷のない 者となるようにと， 天地の 造られる 前から， キリスト にあってわたしたちを 選び，
- わたしたちに， イエス · キリスト によって 神の 子たる 身分を 授けるようにと， 御旨のよしとするところに 從い， 愛のうちにあらかじめ 定めて 下さったのである．

- Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
- Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
- According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
- Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

- これは， その 愛する 御子によって 賜わった 榮光ある 惠みを， わたしたちがほめたたえるためである．
- わたしたちは， 御子にあって， 神の 豊かな 惠みのゆえに， その 血によるあがない， すなわち， 罪過のゆるしを 受けたのである．
- 神はその 惠みをさらに 增し 加えて， あらゆる 知惠と 悟りとをわたしたちに 賜わり，
- 御旨の 奧義を， 自らあらかじめ 定められた 計畵に 從って， わたしたちに 示して 下さったのである．
- それは， 時の 滿ちるに 及んで 實現されるご 計畵にほかならない． それによって， 神は 天にあるもの 地にあるものを， ことごとく， キリスト にあって 一つに 歸せしめようとされたのである．

- To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
- In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
- Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
- Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
- That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

- わたしたちは， 御旨の 欲するままにすべての 事をなさるかたの 目的の 下に， キリスト にあってあらかじめ 定められ， 神の 民として 選ばれたのである．
- それは， 早くから キリスト に 望みをおいているわたしたちが， 神の 榮光をほめたたえる 者となるためである．
- あなたがたもまた， キリスト にあって， 眞理の 言葉， すなわち， あなたがたの 救の 福音を 聞き， また， 彼を 信じた 結果， 約束された 聖靈の 證印をおされたのである．
- この 聖靈は， わたしたちが 神の 國をつぐことの 保證であって， やがて 神につける 者が 全くあがなわれ， 神の 榮光をほめたたえるに 至るためである．
- こういうわけで， わたしも， 主 イエス に 對するあなたがたの 信仰と， すべての 聖徒に 對する 愛とを 耳にし，

- In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
- That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
- In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
- Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
- Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

- わたしの 祈のたびごとにあなたがたを 覺えて， 絶えずあなたがたのために 感謝している．
- どうか， わたしたちの 主 イエス · キリスト の 神， 榮光の 父が， 知惠と 啓示との 靈をあなたがたに 賜わって 神を 認めさせ，
- あなたがたの 心の 目を 明らかにして 下さるように， そして， あなたがたが 神に 召されていだいている 望みがどんなものであるか， 聖徒たちがつぐべき 神の 國がいかに 榮光に 富んだものであるか，
- また， 神の 力强い 活動によって ¿く 力が， わたしたち 信じる 者にとっていかに 絶大なものであるかを， あなたがたが 知るに 至るように， と 祈っている．
- 神はその 力を キリスト のうちに ¿かせて， 彼を 死人の 中からよみがえらせ， 天上においてご 自分の 右に 座せしめ，

- Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
- And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
- Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

- 彼を， すべての 支配， 權威， 權力， 權勢の 上におき， また， この 世ばかりでなくきたるべき 世においても 唱えられる， あらゆる 名の 上におかれたのである．
- そして， 万物を キリスト の 足の 下に 從わせ， 彼を 万物の 上にかしらとして 敎會に 與えられた．
- この 敎會は キリスト のからだであって， すべてのものを， すべてのもののうちに 滿たしているかたが， 滿ちみちているものに， ほかならない．

- Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
- And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
- Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
