- わが 子よ， わたしの 言葉を 守り， わたしの 戒めをあなたの 心にたくわえよ．
- わたしの 戒めを 守って 命を 得よ， わたしの 敎を 守ること， ひとみを 守るようにせよ．
- これをあなたの 指にむすび， これをあなたの 心の 碑にしるせ．
- 知惠に 向かって， 「あなたはわが 姉妹だ 」と 言い， 悟りに 向かっては， あなたの 友と 呼べ．
- そうすれば， これはあなたを 守って 遊女に 迷わせず， 言葉巧みな， みだらな 女に 近づかせない．

- My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
- Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
- Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.
- Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
- That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
