예레미야애가

  본서는 유다가 바벨론에 의해 멸망하고 백성들은 포로로 잡혀 간 암울한 상황을 슬퍼하는 노래이다. 다섯 편의 시로 구성되어 있는 본서는 각 장이 독립적으로 하나의 시를 이루고 있다. 예레미야는 예루살렘의 멸망을 보고 슬퍼하며, 하나님의 공의로우신 심판으로 말미암아 예루살렘이 황폐화되었음을 묘사하고 있다. 그리고 백성들에게 하나님께 희망을 둘 것을 상기시키고, 하나님께서 그의 백성들을 회복시켜 주시기를 간절히 기도 드리고 있다.

 

 

예레미야애가 1:1-2:22

 예레미야는 처참하게 멸망하여 황폐해진 예루살렘의 참상을 보면서 매우 슬퍼하며 절규하였다. 그리고 예루살렘의 구원을 위해 회개의 기도를 드렸으며, 예루살렘을 침공한 바벨론 군대들의 죄악상을 드러내며 하나님의 보응을 간구하였다. 나아가서 예레미야는 하나님의 공의의 심판으로 인해 고난과 조롱을 당하는 백성들에게 회개를 촉구하였다.
  
  예루살렘 성을 향한 애가(1:1-1:22)    
 
  1. ああ， むかしは， 民の 滿ちみちていたこの 都， 國¿の 民のうちで 大いなる 者であったこの 町， 今は 寂しいさまで 座し， やもめのようになった． もろもろの 町のうちで 女王であった 者， 今は 奴隷となった．
  2. これは 夜もすがらいたく 泣き 悲しみ， そのほおには 淚が 流れている． そのすべての 愛する 者のうちには， これを 慰める 者はひとりもなく， そのすべての 友はこれにそむいて， その 敵となった．
  3. ユダ は 惱みのゆえに， また 激しい 苦役のゆえに， のがれて 行って， もろもろの 國民のうちに 住んでいるが， 安息を 得ず， これを 追う 者がみな 追いついてみると， 惱みのうちにあった．
  4. シオン の 道は 祭に 上ってくる 者のないために 悲しみ， その 門はことごとく 荒れ， その 祭司たちは 嘆き， そのおとめたちは 引かれて 行き， シオン はみずからいたく 苦しむ．
  5. そのあだはかしらとなり， その 敵は 榮えている． そのとがが 多いので， 主がこれを 惱まされたからである． その 幼な 子たちは 捕われて， あだの 前に 行った．
  1. How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!
  2. She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.
  3. Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.
  4. The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.
  5. Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.
  1. シオン の 娘の 榮華はことごとく 彼女を 離れ 去り， その 君たちは 牧草を 得ない， しかのようになり， 自分を 追う 者の 前に 力なく 逃げ 去った．
  2. エルサレム はその 惱みと 苦しみの 日に， 昔から 持っていたもろもろの 寶を 思い 出す． その 民があだの 手に 陷り， だれもこれを 助ける 者のない 時， あだはこれを 見て， その 滅びをあざ 笑った．
  3. エルサレム は， はなはだしく 罪を 犯したので， 汚れたものとなった． これを 尊んだ 者も 皆その 裸を 見たので， これを 卑しめる． これもまたみずから 嘆き， 顔をそむける．
  4. その 汚れはその 衣のすそにあり， これはその 終りを 思わなかった． それゆえ， これは 驚くばかりに 落ちぶれ， これを 慰める 者はひとりもない． 「主よ， わが 惱みを 顧みてください， 敵は 勝ち 誇っていますから 」．
  5. 敵は 手を 伸べて， その 財寶をことごとく 奪った． あなたがさきに 異邦人らはあなたの 公會に， はいってはならないと 命じられたのに， 彼らがその 聖所にはいるのを シオン は 見た．
  1. And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.
  2. Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths.
  3. Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.
  4. Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.
  5. The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.
  1. その 民はみな 嘆いて 食物を 求め， その 命をささえるために， 財寶を 食物にかえた． 「主よ， みそなわして， わたしの 卑しめられるのを 顧みてください 」．
  2. 「すべて 道行く 人よ， あなたがたはなんとも 思わないのか． 主がその 激しい 怒りの 日にわたしを 惱まして， わたしにくだされた 苦しみのような 苦しみが， また 世にあるだろうか， 尋ねて 見よ．
  3. 主は 上から 火を 送り， それをわが 骨にくだし， 網を 張ってわが 足を 捕え， わたしを 引き 返させ， ひねもす 心わびしく， かつ 病み 衰えさせられた．
  4. わたしのとがは， つかねられて， 一つのくびきとせられ， 主のみ 手により 固く 締められて， わたしの 首におかれ， わたしの 力を 衰えさせられた． 主はわたしを， 立ちむかい 得ざる 者の 手に 渡された．
  5. 主はわたしのうちにあるすべての 勇士を 無視し， 聖會を 召集して， わたしを 攻め， わが 若き 人¿を 打ち 滅ぼされた． 主は 酒ぶねを 踏むように， ユダ の 娘なるおとめを 踏みつけられた．
  1. All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for meat to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become vile.
  2. Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.
  3. From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day.
  4. The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he hath made my strength to fall, the LORD hath delivered me into their hands, from whom I am not able to rise up.
  5. The LORD hath trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: he hath called an assembly against me to crush my young men: the LORD hath trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress.
  1. このために， わたしは 泣き 悲しみ， わたしの 目は 淚であふれる． わたしを 慰める 者， わたしを 勇氣づける 者が ／わたしから 遠く 離れたからである． わが 子らは 敵が 勝ったために， わびしい 者となった 」．
  2. シオン は 手を 伸ばしても， これを 慰める 者はひとりもない． ヤコブ については， 主は 命じて， その 周圍の 者を， これがあだとせられた． エルサレム は 彼らの 中にあって， 汚れた 物のようになった．
  3. 「主は 正しい， わたしは， み 言葉にそむいた． すべての 民よ， 聞け， わが 苦しみを 顧みよ． わがおとめらも， わが 若人らも 捕われて 行った．
  4. わたしはわが 愛する 者を 呼んだが， 彼らはわたしを 欺いた． わが 祭司および 長老たちは， その 命をささえようと， 食物を 求めている 間に， 町のうちで 息絶えた．
  5. 主よ， 顧みてください， わたしは 惱み， わがはらわたはわきかえり， わが 心臟はわたしの 內に 轉倒しています． わたしは， はなはだしくそむいたからです． 外にはつるぎがあって， わが 子を 奪い， 家の 內には 死のようなものがある．
  1. For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.
  2. Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.
  3. The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.
  4. I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the ghost in the city, while they sought their meat to relieve their souls.
  5. Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the sword bereaveth, at home there is as death.
  1. わたしがどんなに 嘆くかを 聞いてください． わたしを 慰める 者はひとりもなく， 敵はみなわたしの 惱みを 聞いて， あなたがこれをなされたのを 喜んだ． あなたがさきに 告げ 知らせたその 日をきたらせ， 彼らをも， わたしのようにしてください．
  2. 彼らの 惡をことごとくあなたの 前にあらわし， さきにわがもろもろのとがのために， わたしに 行われたように， 彼らにも 行ってください． わが 嘆きは 多く， わが 心は 弱りはてているからです 」．
  1. They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it: thou wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.
  2. Let all their wickedness come before thee; and do unto them, as thou hast done unto me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.
 
  주의 진노(2:1-2:22)    
 
  1. ああ， 主は 怒りを 起し， 黑雲をもって シオン の 娘をおおわれた． 主は イスラエル の 榮光を 天から 地に 投げ 落し， その 怒りの 日に， おのれの 足台を 心にとめられなかった．
  2. 主は ヤコブ のすべてのすまいを ／滅ぼして， あわれまず， その 怒りによって， ユダ の 娘のとりでをこわし， これを 地に 倒して， その 國とそのつかさたちをはずかしめられた．
  3. 主は 激しい 怒りをもって， イスラエル のすべての 力を 斷ち， 敵の 前で， おのれの 右の 手を 引きもどし， 周圍を 燒きつくす 燃える 火のように， ヤコブ を 燒かれた．
  4. 主は 敵のように 弓を 張り， あだのように 右の 手を 伸べて 立ち， シオン の 娘の 天幕におるわれわれの 目に 誇る 者を， ことごとく 殺し， 火のようにその 怒りを 注がれた．
  5. 主は 敵のようになって， イスラエル を 滅ぼし， そのすべての 宮殿を 滅ぼし， そのとりでをこわし， ユダ の 娘の 上に 憂いと 悲しみとを 增し 加えられた．
  1. How hath the LORD covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!
  2. The LORD hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought them down to the ground: he hath polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof.
  3. He hath cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about.
  4. He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire.
  5. The LORD was as an enemy: he hath swallowed up Israel, he hath swallowed up all her palaces: he hath destroyed his strong holds, and hath increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.
  1. 主は 園の 小屋のようにおのれの 幕屋を 倒し， その 祭の 場所をこわされた． 主は 祭と 安息日とを シオン に 忘れさせ， 激しい 怒りによって， 王と 祭司とを 捨てられた．
  2. 主はその 祭壇を 忌み， その 聖所をきらって， もろもろの 宮殿の 石がきを 敵の 手に 渡された． 彼らは 祭の 日のように， 主の 宮で 聲をあげた．
  3. 主は シオン の 娘の 城壁を 破壞しようと ／思い 定めて， なわを 張り， 打ちこわして， その 手をひかず， 城壁と 石がきとを 悲しませられた． これらは 共に 衰える．
  4. その 門は 地にうずもれ， 主はその 貫の 木をこわし ¿かれた． その 王と 君たちはもろもろの 國民の 中におり， もはや 律法はなく， またその 預言者は 主から 幻を 得ない．
  5. シオン の 娘の 長老たちは 地に 座して 默し， 頭にちりをかぶり， 身に 荒布をまとった． エルサレム のおとめたちはこうべを 地にたれた．
  1. And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
  2. The LORD hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.
  3. The LORD hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together.
  4. Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.
  5. The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
  1. わが 目は 淚のためにつぶれ， わがはらわたはわきかえり， わが 肝はわが 民の 娘の 滅びのために， 地に 注ぎ 出される． 幼な 子や 乳のみ 子が 町のちまたに ／息も 絶えようとしているからである．
  2. 彼らが， 傷ついた 者のように 町のちまたで ／息も 絶えようとするとき， その 母のふところにその 命を 注ぎ 出そうとするとき， 母にむかって， 「パン とぶどう 酒とは ／どこにありますか 」と 叫ぶ．
  3. エルサレム の 娘よ， わたしは 何をあなたに 言い， 何にあなたを 比べることができようか． シオン の 娘なるおとめよ， わたしは 何をもってあなたになぞらえて， あなたを 慰めることができようか． あなたの 破れは 海のように 大きい， だれがあなたをいやすことができようか．
  4. あなたの 預言者たちはあなたのために ／人を 欺く 僞りの 幻を 見た． 彼らはあなたの 不義をあらわして ／捕われを 免れさせようとはせず， あなたのために 人を 迷わす 僞りの 託宣を 見た．
  5. すべて 道行く 人は， あなたにむかって 手を 打ち， エルサレム の 娘にむかって， あざ 笑い， かつ 頭を 振って 言う， 「麗しさのきわみ， 全地の 喜びと ／となえられた 町はこれなのか 」と．
  1. Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.
  2. They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers' bosom.
  3. What thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach is great like the sea: who can heal thee?
  4. Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.
  5. All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?
  1. あなたのもろもろの 敵は， あなたをののしり， あざ 笑い， 齒がみして 言う， 「われわれはこれを 滅ぼした， ああ， これはわれわれが 望んだ 日だ， 今われわれはこれにあい， これを 見た 」と．
  2. 主はその 計畵されたことを 行い， 警告されたことをなし 遂げ， いにしえから 命じておかれたように， 滅ぼして， あわれむことをせず， あなたについて 敵を 喜ばせ， あなたのあだの 力を 高められた．
  3. シオン の 娘よ， 聲高らかに 主に 呼ばわれ， 夜も ¿も 川のように 淚を 流せ． みずから 安んじることをせず， あなたのひとみを 休ませるな．
  4. 夜， 初更に 起きて 叫べ． 主の 前にあなたの 心を 水のように 注ぎ 出せ． 町のかどで， 飢えて ／息も 絶えようとする 幼な 子の 命のために， 主にむかって 兩手をあげよ．
  5. 主よ， みそなわして， 顧みてください． あなたはだれにむかって ／このように 行われたのですか． 女は 自分の 産んだ 子， その 大事に 育てた 幼な 子を 食べるでしょうか． 祭司と 預言者が 主の 聖所で 殺されていいでしょうか．
  1. All thine enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it.
  2. The LORD hath done that which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.
  3. Their heart cried unto the LORD, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease.
  4. Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.
  5. Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?
  1. 老いも 若きも， ちまたのちりに 伏し， わがおとめも， 若人も， つるぎで 倒されてしまった． あなたは， その 怒りの 日にこれを 殺し， これをほふって， あわれむことをされなかった．
  2. あなたは， わたしの 恐れるものを， 祭の 日のように 四方から 呼び 集められた． 主の 怒りの 日には， のがれた 者も 殘った 者もなかった． わたしが， いだき 育てた 者を ／わたしの 敵は 滅ぼし 盡した．
  1. The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast slain them in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed, and not pitied.
  2. Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD's anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.
