- 相はかることがなければ， 計畵は 破れる， はかる 者が 多ければ， それは 必ず 成る．
- 人は 口から 出る 好ましい 答によって 喜びを 得る， 時にかなった 言葉は， いかにも 良いものだ．
- 知惠ある 人の 道は 上って 命に 至る， こうしてその 人は 下にある 陰府を 離れる．
- 主は 高ぶる 者の 家を 滅ぼし， やもめの 地境を 定められる．
- 惡人の 計りごとは 主に 憎まれ， 潔白な 人の 言葉は 彼に 喜ばれる．

- Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
- A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
- The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
- The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
- The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
