	에스겔 38:1-39:29 하나님께서는 포로 생활에서 귀환하여 평안히 살고 있는 이스라엘을 곡의 군대가 침략하지만 하나님께서 곡을 심판하실 것이라고 예고하셨다. 그러나 이스라엘 백성들은 야웨만을 의뢰하고 온 땅이 야웨의 이름을 앙모하게 되며, 이스라엘은 평화와 거룩의 땅으로 변화될 것이라고 예언하셨다.

	곡의 침입(38:1-38:23)

主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ，

「人の子よ，メセクとトバルの大君であるマゴグの地のゴグに，あなたの顔を向け，これに對して預言して，

言え．主なる神はこう言われる，メセクとトバルの大君であるゴグよ，見よ，わたしはあなたの敵となる．

わたしはあなたを引きもどし，あなたのあごにかぎをかけて，あなたと，あなたのすべての軍勢と，馬と，騎兵とを引き出す．彼らはみな武具をつけ，大盾，小盾を持ち，すべてつるぎをとる者で大軍である．

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

ゴメルとそのすべての軍隊，北の果のベテ · トガルマと，そのすべての軍隊など，多くの民もあなたと共におる．

あなたは備えをなせ．あなたとあなたの所に集まった軍隊は，みな備えをなせ．そしてあなたは彼らの保護者となれ．

Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

言う，『わたしは無防備の村¿の地に上り，穩やかにして安らかに住む民，すべて石がきもなく，貫の木も門もない地に住む者どもを攻めよう』と．

そしてあなたは物を奪い，物をかすめ，いま人の住むようになっている荒れ跡を攻め，また國¿から集まってきて，地の中央に住み，家畜と貨財とを持つ民を攻めようとする．

シバ，デダン，タルシシの商人，およびそのもろもろの村¿はあなたに言う，『あなたは物を奪うために來たのか．物をかすめるために軍隊を集めたのか．あなたは金銀を持ち去り，家畜と貨財とを取りあげ，大いに物を奪おうとするのか』と．

And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

あなたはわが民イスラエルに攻めのぼり，雲のように地をおおう．ゴグよ，終りの日にわたしはあなたを，わが國に攻めきたらせ，あなたをとおして，わたしの聖なることを諸國民の目の前にあらわして，彼らにわたしを知らせる．

主なる神はこう言われる，わたしが昔，わがしもべイスラエルの預言者たちによって語ったのは，あなたのことではないか．すなわち彼らは，そのころ年久しく預言して，わたしはあなたを送って，彼らを攻めさせると言ったではないか．

しかし主なる神は言われる，その日，すなわちゴグがイスラエルの地に攻め入る日に，わが怒りは現れる．

わたしは，わがねたみと，燃えたつ怒りと ㅲ癩 ∫拭煩 ┘점 ㅱ斬禾 �書� ㅝ非 � 엑� Ω 佳 �漁贅 ㄲ�ㅬ翡巽 뜸묀ㄱ 手 �

海の魚，空の鳥，野の ¿，すべての地に這うもの，地のおもてにあるすべての人は，わが前に打ち震える．また山¿はくずれ，がけは落ち，すべての石がきは地に倒れる．

And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.

For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

主なる神は言われる，わたしはゴグに對し，すべての恐れを呼びよせる．すべての人のつるぎは，その兄弟に向けられる．

わたしは疫病と流血とをもって彼をさばく．わたしはみなぎる雨と，ひょうと，火と，硫黃とを，彼とその軍隊および彼と共におる多くの民の上に降らせる．

そしてわたしはわたしの大いなることと，わたしの聖なることとを，多くの國民の目に示す．そして彼らはわたしが主であることを悟る．

And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.

And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

	곡의 파멸(39:1-39:29)

人の子よ，ゴグに向かって預言して言え．主なる神はこう言われる，メセクとトバルの大君であるゴグよ，見よ，わたしはあなたの敵となる．

わたしはあなたを引きもどし，あなたを押しやり，北の果から上らせ，イスラエルの山¿に導き，

あなたの左の手から弓を打ち落し，右の手から矢を落させる．

あなたとあなたのすべての軍隊およびあなたと共にいる民たちは，イスラエルの山¿に倒れる．わたしはあなたを，諸種の猛禽と野¿とに與えて食わせる．

あなたは野の面に倒れる．わたしがこれを言ったからであると，主なる神は言われる．

Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:

And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.

Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

わたしはゴグと，海沿いの國¿に安らかに住む者に對して火を送り，彼らにわたしが主であることを悟らせる．

わたしはわが聖なる名を，わが民イスラエルのうちに知らせ，重ねてわが聖なる名を汚させない．諸國民はわたしが主，イスラエルの聖者であることを悟る．

主なる神は言われる，見よ，これは來る，必ず成就する．これはわたしが言った日である．

イスラエルの町¿に住む者は出て來て，武器すなわち大盾，小盾，弓，矢，手やり，およびやりなどを燃やし，燒き，七年の間これを火に燃やす．

彼らは野から木を取らず，森から木を切らず，武器で火を燃やし，自分をかすめた者をかすめ，自分の物を奪った者を奪うと，主なる神は言われる．

And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:

So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

その日，わたしはイスラエルのうちに，墓地をゴグに與える．これは旅びとの谷にあって海の東にある．これは旅びとを妨げる．そこにゴグとその民衆を埋めるからである．これをハモン · ゴグの谷と名づける．

イスラエルの家はこれを埋めて，地を淸めるために七か月を費す．

國のすべての民はこれを埋め，これによって名を高める．これはわが榮えを現す日であると，主なる神は言われる．

彼らは人¿を選んで，絶えず國の中を行きめぐらせ，地のおもてに殘っている者を埋めて，これを淸めさせる．七か月の終りに彼らは尋ねる．

國を行きめぐる者が行きめぐって，人の骨を見る時，死人を埋める者が，これをハモン · ゴグの谷に埋めるまで，そのかたわらに，標を建てて置く．

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.

And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.

Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.

And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.

And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.

（ハモナの町もそこにある．）こうして彼らはその國を淸める．

主なる神はこう言われる，人の子よ，諸種の鳥と野の ¿とに言え，みな集まってこい．わたしがおまえたちのために供えた ¿牲，すなわちイスラエルの山¿の上にある，大いなる ¿牲に，四方から集まり，その肉を食い，その血を飮め．

おまえたちは勇士の肉を食い，地の君たちの血を飮め．雄羊，小羊，雄やぎ，雄牛などすべてバシャンの肥えた ¿を食え．

わたしがおまえたちのために供えた ¿牲は，飽きるまでその脂肪を食べ，醉うまで血を飮め．

おまえたちはわが食卓について馬と，騎手と，勇士と，もろもろの戰士とを飽きるほど食べると，主なる神は言われる．

And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

わたしはわが榮光を諸國民に示す．すべての國民はわたしが行ったさばきと，わたしが彼らの上に加えた手とを見る．

この日から後，イスラエルの家はわたしが彼らの神，主であることを悟るようになる．

また諸國民はイスラエルの家が，その惡によって捕え移されたことを悟る．彼らがわたしにそむいたので，わたしはわが顔を彼らに隱し，彼らをその敵の手に渡した．それで彼らは皆つるぎに倒れた．

わたしは彼らの汚れと，とがとに從って，彼らを扱い，わたしの顔を彼らに隱した．

それゆえ，主なる神はこう言われる，いまわたしはヤコブの幸福をもとに返し，イスラエルの全家をあわれみ，わが聖なる名のために，ねたみを起す．

And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

彼らは，その國に安らかに住み，だれもこれを恐れさせる者がないようになった時，自分の恥と，わたしに向かってなした反逆とを忘れる．

わたしが彼らを諸國民の中から歸らせ，その敵の國から呼び集め，彼らによって，わたしの聖なることを，多くの國民の前に示す時，

彼らは，わたしが彼らの神，主であることを悟る．これはわたしが彼らを諸國民のうちに移し，またこれをその國に呼び集めたからである．わたしはそのひとりをも，國¿のうちに殘すことをしない．

わたしは，わが靈をイスラエルの家に注ぐ時，重ねてわが顔を彼らに隱さないと，主なる神は言われる」．

After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.

When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;

Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
