- 惡しき 者の 魂は 惡を 行うことを 願う， その 隣り 人にも 好意をもって 見られない．
- あざけるものが 罰をうけるならば， 思慮のない 者は 知惠を 得る． 知惠ある 者が 敎をうけるならば 知識を 得る．
- 正しい 神は， 惡しき 者の 家をみとめて， 惡しき 者を 滅びに 投げいれられる．
- 耳を 閉じて 貧しい 者の 呼ぶ 聲を 聞かない 者は， 自分が 呼ぶときに， 聞かれない．
- ひそかな 贈り 物は 憤りをなだめる， ふところのまいないは 激しい 怒りを 和らげる．

- When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
- The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
- Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
- A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.
