	아모스 4:1-6:14 아모스는 바산의 암소들로 비유되는 북이스라엘의 상류층 사람들에 대한 심판을 선포한 후, 여러 재앙을 당해도 도무지 회개하지 않고 형식적으로만 하나님을 섬기는 북이스라엘의 전 국민에게 심판을 선포하였다. 그는 북이스라엘의 멸망에 대한 애가를 불렀으며, 피할 수 없는 야웨의 날의 심판을 알렸다.

	북이스라엘의 심판(4:1-6:14)

「バシャンの雌牛どもよ，この言葉を聞け．あなたがたはサマリヤの山におり，弱い者をしえたげ，貧しい者を壓迫し，またその主人に向かって，『持ってきて，わたしたちに飮ませよ』と言う．

主なる神はご自分の聖なることによって誓われた，見よ，あなたがたの上にこのような時が來る．その時，人¿はあなたがたをつり針にかけ，あなたがたの殘りの者を／魚つり針にかけて引いて行く．

あなたがたはおのおのまっすぐに／石がきの破れた所を出て，ハルモンに追いやられる」と／主は言われる．

「あなたがたはベテルへ行って罪を犯し，ギルガルへ行って，とがを增し加えよ．朝ごとに，あなたがたの ¿牲を携えて行け，三日ごとに，あなたがたの十分の一を携えて行け．

種を入れたパンの感謝祭をささげ，心よりの供え物をふれ示せ．イスラエルの人¿よ，あなたがたはこのようにするのを好んでいる」と／主なる神は言われる．

Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.

The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.

And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the LORD.

Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:

And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

「わたしはまた，あなたがたのすべての町で／あなたがたの齒を淸くし，あなたがたのすべての所でパンを乏しくした．それでも，あなたがたはわたしに歸らなかった」と／主は言われる．

「わたしはまた，刈入れまでなお三月あるのに／雨をとどめて，あなたがたの上にくださず，この町には雨を降らし，かの町には雨を降らさず，この畑は雨をえ，かの畑は雨をえないで枯れた．

そこで二つ三つの町が／一つの町によろめいて行って，水を飮んでも，飽くことができなかった．それでも，あなたがたはわたしに歸らなかった」と／主は言われる．

「わたしは立ち枯れと腐り穗とをもって／あなたがたを擊ち，あなたがたの園と，ぶどう畑とを荒した．いちじくの木とオリブの木とは，いなごが食った．それでも，あなたがたはわたしに歸らなかった」と／主は言われる．

「わたしはエジプトにしたように／あなたがたのうちに疫病を送り，つるぎをもってあなたがたの若者を殺し，あなたがたの馬を奪い去り，あなたがたの宿營の臭氣を上らせて，あなたがたの鼻をつかせた．それでも，あなたがたはわたしに歸らなかった」と／主は言われる．

And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

「わたしはあなたがたのうちの町を／神がソドムとゴモラを滅ぼされた時のように／滅ぼしたので，あなたがたは炎の中から取り出された／燃えさしのようであった．それでも，あなたがたはわたしに歸らなかった」と／主は言われる．

「それゆえイスラエルよ，わたしはこのようにあなたに行う．わたしはこれを行うゆえ，イスラエルよ，あなたの神に會う備えをせよ」．

見よ，彼は山を造り，風を創造し，人にその思いのいかなるかを示し，また，あけぼのを變えて暗やみとなし，地の高い所を踏まれる者，その名を万軍の神，主と言う．

I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.

イスラエルの家よ，わたしが悲しみの歌をもって，あなたがたについて宣べるこの言葉を聞け，

「おとめイスラエルは倒れて，また起き上がらず，彼女はおのれの地に投げ倒されて／これを起す者がない」．

主なる神はこう言われる，「イスラエルの家では，千人出た町は百人殘り，百人出た町は十人殘る」．

Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.

The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.

For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:

But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.

あなたがたは主を求めよ，そして生きよ．さもないと主は火のように／ヨセフの家に落ち下られる．火はこれを燒くが，ベテルのためにこれを消す者はひとりもない．

あなたがた，公道をにがよもぎに變え，正義を地に投げ捨てる者よ．

プレアデスおよびオリオンを造り，暗黑を朝に變じ， ¿を暗くして夜となし，海の水を呼んで，地のおもてに注がれる者，その名は主という．

主は滅びをたちまち强い者に臨ませられるので，滅びはついに城に臨む．

彼らは門にいて戒める者を憎み，眞實を語る者を忌みきらう．

Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.

Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,

Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.

They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.

あなたがたは貧しい者を踏みつけ，彼から麥の贈り物をとるゆえ，あなたがたは切り石の家を建てても，その中に住むことはできない．美しいぶどう畑を作っても，その酒を飮むことはできない．

わたしは知る，あなたがたのとがは多く，あなたがたの罪は大きいからである．あなたがたは正しい者をしえたげ，まいないを取り，門で貧しい者を退ける．

Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.

For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.

Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

それゆえ，主なる万軍の神，主はこう言われる，「すべての廣場で泣くことがあろう．すべてのちまたで人¿は／『悲しいかな，悲しいかな』と言う．また彼らは農夫を呼んできて嘆かせ，巧みな泣き女を招いて泣かせ，

またすべてのぶどう畑にも泣くことがあろう．それはわたしがあなたがたの中を／通るからである」と主は言われる．

わざわいなるかな，主の日を望む者よ，あなたがたは何ゆえ主の日を望むのか．これは暗くて光がない．

人がししの前を逃れてもくまに出會い，また家にはいって，手を壁につけると，へびにかまれるようなものである．

主の日は暗くて，光がなく，薄暗くて輝きがないではないか．

Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the LORD, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.

And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

わたしはあなたがたの祭を憎み，かつ卑しめる．わたしはまた，あなたがたの聖會を喜ばない．

たといあなたがたは §祭や素祭をささげても，わたしはこれを受けいれない．あなたがたの肥えた ¿の酬恩祭は／わたしはこれを顧みない．

あなたがたの歌の ¿がしい音を／わたしの前から斷て．あなたがたの琴の音は，わたしはこれを聞かない．

公道を水のように，正義をつきない川のように流れさせよ．

「イスラエルの家よ，あなたがたは四十年の間，荒野でわたしに ¿牲と供え物をささげたか．

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?

かえってあなたがたの王シクテをにない，あなたがたが自分で作ったあなたがたの偶像，星の神，キウンをになった．

それゆえわたしはあなたがたをダマスコのかなたに捕え移す」と，その名を万軍の神ととなえられる主は言われる．

But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.

「わざわいなるかな，安らかにシオンにいる者，また安心してサマリヤの山にいる者，諸國民のかしらのうちの著名な人¿で，イスラエルの家がきて從う者よ．

カルネに渡って見よ．そこから大ハマテに行き，またペリシテびとのガテに下って見よ．彼らはこれらの國にまさっているか．彼らの土地はあなたがたの土地よりも大きいか．

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!

Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?

Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;

That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;

That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;

鉢をもって酒を飮み，いとも尊い油を身にぬり，ヨセフの破滅を悲しまない者たちよ．

それゆえ今，彼らは捕われて，捕われ人のまっ先に立って行く．そしてかの身を伸ばした者どもの／¿ぎはやむであろう」．

主なる神はおのれによって誓われた，（万軍の神，主は言われる，）「わたしはヤコブの誇を忌みきらい，そのもろもろの宮殿を憎む．わたしはこの町とすべてその中にいる者を渡す」．

一つの家に十人の者が殘っていても，彼らは死に，

That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.

The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.

And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.

見よ，主は命じて，大きな家を擊って，みじんとなし，小さな家を擊って，切れ切れとされる．

馬は岩の上を走るだろうか．人は牛で海を耕すだろうか．ところがあなたがたは公道を毒に變じ，正義の實をにがよもぎに變じた．

あなたがたはロデバルを喜び，「われわれは自分の力で／カルナイムを得たではないか」と言う．

それゆえ，万軍の神，主は言われる，「イスラエルの家よ，見よ，わたしは一つの國民を起して，あなたがたに敵對させる．彼らはハマテの入口からアラバの川まで／あなたがたを惱ます」．

For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.

Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:

Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
