- 正しく 步む 貧しい 者は， 曲った 道を 步む 富める 者にまさる．
- 律法を 守る 者は 賢い 子である， 不品行な 者と 交わるものは， 父をはずかしめる．
- 利息と 高利とによってその 富をます 者は， 貧しい 者を 惠む 者のために， それをたくわえる．
- 耳をそむけて 律法を 聞かない 者は， その 祈でさえも 憎まれる．

- Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
- Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
- He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
- He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
