- しもべは 言葉だけで 訓練することはできない， 彼は 聞いて 知っても， 心にとめないからである．
- 言葉の 輕率な 人を 見るか， 彼よりもかえって 愚かな 者のほうに 望みがある．
- しもべをその 幼い 時からわがままに 育てる 人は， ついにはそれを 自分のあとつぎにする．
- 怒る 人は 爭いを 起し， 憤る 人は 多くの 罪を 犯す．
- 人の 高ぶりはその 人を 低くし， 心にへりくだる 者は 譽を 得る．
