창세기 25:1-26:22

 아브라함은 175세에 죽어 막벨라 굴에 장사되었다. 리브가는 쌍동이를 낳았는데, 장자 에서는 자신의 장자권을 동생 야곱에게 팥죽 한 그릇에 팔고 말았다. 그랄에 거하는 이삭에게 하나님께서 복을 주셔서 거부가 되게 하셨다. 이를 시기하는 블레셋 사람들과의 마찰을 피하여 이삭은 브엘세바로 장막을 옮겼다.
  
  야곱과 에서의 출생(25:1-25:34)    
 
  1. アブラハム は 再び 妻をめとった． 名を ケトラ という．
  2. 彼女は ジムラン ， ヨクシャン ， メダン ， ミデアン ， イシバク および シュワ を 産んだ．
  3. ヨクシャン の 子は シバ と デダン ． デダン の 子孫は アシュリ びと， レトシ びと， レウミ びとである．
  4. ミデアン の 子孫は エパ ， エペル ， ヘノク ， アビダ ， エルダア であって， これらは 皆 ケトラ の 子孫であった．
  5. アブラハム はその 所有をことごとく イサク に 與えた．
  1. Now Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah.
  2. She bore to him Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah.
  3. Jokshan became the father of Sheba and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim and Letushim and Leummim.
  4. The sons of Midian were Ephah and Epher and Hanoch and Abida and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.
  5. Now Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac;
  1. またそのそばめたちの 子らにも アブラハム は 物を 與え， なお 生きている 間に 彼らをその 子 イサク から 離して， 東の 方， 東の 國に 移らせた．
  2. アブラハム の 生きながらえた 年は 百七十五年である．
  3. アブラハム は 高齡に 達し， 老人となり， 年が 滿ちて 息絶え， 死んでその 民に 加えられた．
  4. その 子 イサク と イシマエル は 彼を ヘテ びと ゾハル の 子 エフロン の 畑にある マクペラ のほら 穴に 葬った． これは マムレ の 向かいにあり，
  5. アブラハム が ヘテ の 人¿から， 買い 取った 畑であって， そこに アブラハム とその 妻 サラ が 葬られた．
  1. but to the sons of his concubines, Abraham gave gifts while he was still living, and sent them away from his son Isaac eastward, to the land of the east.
  2. These are all the years of Abraham's life that he lived, one hundred and seventy-five years.
  3. Abraham breathed his last and died in a ripe old age, an old man and satisfied with life; and he was gathered to his people.
  4. Then his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, facing Mamre,
  5. the field which Abraham purchased from the sons of Heth; there Abraham was buried with Sarah his wife.
  1. アブラハム が 死んだ 後， 神はその 子 イサク を 祝福された． イサク は ベエル · ラハイ · ロイ のほとりに 住んだ．
  2. サラ のつかえめ エジプト びと ハガル が アブラハム に 産んだ アブラハム の 子 イシマエル の 系圖は 次のとおりである．
  3. イシマエル の 子らの 名を 世代にしたがって， その 名をいえば 次のとおりである． すなわち イシマエル の 長子は ネバヨテ ， 次は ケダル ， アデビエル ， ミブサム ，
  4. ミシマ ， ドマ ， マッサ ，
  5. ハダデ ， テマ ， エトル ， ネフシ ， ケデマ ．
  1. It came about after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac lived by Beer-lahai-roi.
  2. Now these are the records of the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's maid, bore to Abraham;
  3. and these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, in the order of their birth: Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael, and Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsam
  4. and Mishma and Dumah and Massa,
  5. Hadad and Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah.
  1. これは イシマエル の 子らであり， 村と 宿營とによる 名であって， その 氏族による 十二人の 君たちである．
  2. イシマエル のよわいは 百三十七年である． 彼は 息絶えて 死に， その 民に 加えられた．
  3. イシマエル の 子らは ハビラ から エジプト の 東， シュル までの 間に 住んで， アシュル に 及んだ． イシマエル はすべての 兄弟の 東に 住んだ．
  4. アブラハム の 子 イサク の 系圖は 次のとおりである． アブラハム の 子は イサク であって，
  5. イサク は 四十歲の 時， パダンアラム の アラム びと ベトエル の 娘で， アラム びと ラバン の 妹 リベカ を 妻にめとった．
  1. These are the sons of Ishmael and these are their names, by their villages, and by their camps; twelve princes according to their tribes.
  2. These are the years of the life of Ishmael, one hundred and thirty-seven years; and he breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people.
  3. They settled from Havilah to Shur which is east of Egypt as one goes toward Assyria; he settled in defiance of all his relatives.
  4. Now these are the records of the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham became the father of Isaac;
  5. and Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean, to be his wife.
  1. イサク は 妻が 子を 産まなかったので， 妻のために 主に 祈り 願った． 主はその 願いを 聞かれ， 妻 リベカ はみごもった．
  2. ところがその 子らが 胎內で 押し 合ったので， リベカ は 言った， 「こんなことでは， わたしはどうなるでしょう 」． 彼女は 行って 主に 尋ねた．
  3. 主は 彼女に 言われた， ／「二つの 國民があなたの 胎內にあり， ／二つの 民があなたの 腹から 別れて 出る． 一つの 民は 他の 民よりも 强く， ／兄は 弟に 仕えるであろう 」．
  4. 彼女の 出産の 日がきたとき， 胎內にはふたごがあった．
  5. さきに 出たのは 赤くて 全身毛ごろものようであった． それで 名を エサウ と 名づけた．
  1. Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD answered him and Rebekah his wife conceived.
  2. But the children struggled together within her; and she said, "If it is so, why then am I this way?" So she went to inquire of the LORD.
  3. The LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb; And two peoples will be separated from your body; And one people shall be stronger than the other; And the older shall serve the younger."
  4. When her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
  5. Now the first came forth red, all over like a hairy garment; and they named him Esau.
  1. その 後に 弟が 出た． その 手は エサウ のかかとをつかんでいた． それで 名を ヤコブ と 名づけた． リベカ が 彼らを 産んだ 時， イサク は 六十歲であった．
  2. さてその 子らは 成長し， エサウ は 巧みな 狩¿者となり， 野の 人となったが， ヤコブ は 穩やかな 人で， 天幕に 住んでいた．
  3. イサク は， しかの 肉が 好きだったので， エサウ を 愛したが， リベカ は ヤコブ を 愛した．
  4. ある 日 ヤコブ が， あつものを 煮ていた 時， エサウ は 飢え 疲れて 野から 歸ってきた．
  5. エサウ は ヤコブ に 言った， 「わたしは 飢え 疲れた． お 願いだ． 赤いもの， その 赤いものをわたしに 食べさせてくれ 」． 彼が 名を エドム と 呼ばれたのはこのためである．
  1. Afterward his brother came forth with his hand holding on to Esau's heel, so his name was called Jacob; and Isaac was sixty years old when she gave birth to them.
  2. When the boys grew up, Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the field, but Jacob was a peaceful man, living in tents.
  3. Now Isaac loved Esau, because he had a taste for game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.
  4. When Jacob had cooked stew, Esau came in from the field and he was famished;
  5. and Esau said to Jacob, "Please let me have a swallow of that red stuff there, for I am famished." Therefore his name was called Edom.
  1. ヤコブ は 言った， 「まずあなたの 長子の 特權をわたしに 賣りなさい 」．
  2. エサウ は 言った， 「わたしは 死にそうだ． 長子の 特權などわたしに 何になろう 」．
  3. ヤコブ はまた 言った， 「まずわたしに 誓いなさい 」． 彼は 誓って 長子の 特權を ヤコブ に 賣った．
  4. そこで ヤコブ は パン と レンズ 豆のあつものとを エサウ に 與えたので， 彼は 飮み 食いして， 立ち 去った． このようにして エサウ は 長子の 特權を 輕んじた．
  1. But Jacob said, "First sell me your birthright."
  2. Esau said, "Behold, I am about to die; so of what use then is the birthright to me?"
  3. And Jacob said, "First swear to me"; so he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.
  4. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew; and he ate and drank, and rose and went on his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.
 
  이삭과 아비멜렉(26:1-26:22)    
 
  1. アブラハム の 時にあった 初めのききんのほか， またききんがその 國にあったので， イサク は ゲラル にいる ペリシテ びとの 王 アビメレク の 所へ 行った．
  2. その 時， 主は 彼に 現れて 言われた， 「エジプト へ 下ってはならない． わたしがあなたに 示す 地にとどまりなさい．
  3. あなたがこの 地にとどまるなら， わたしはあなたと 共にいて， あなたを 祝福し， これらの 國をことごとくあなたと， あなたの 子孫とに 與え， わたしがあなたの 父 アブラハム に 誓った 誓いを 果そう．
  4. またわたしはあなたの 子孫を 增して 天の 星のようにし， あなたの 子孫にこれらの 地をみな 與えよう． そして 地のすべての 國民はあなたの 子孫によって 祝福をえるであろう．
  5. アブラハム がわたしの 言葉にしたがってわたしのさとしと， いましめと， さだめと， おきてとを 守ったからである 」．
  1. Now there was a famine in the land, besides the previous famine that had occurred in the days of Abraham So Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines.
  2. The LORD appeared to him and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; stay in the land of which I shall tell you.
  3. "Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham.
  4. "I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;
  5. because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws."
  1. こうして イサク は ゲラル に 住んだ．
  2. その 所の 人¿が 彼の 妻のことを 尋ねたとき， 「彼女はわたしの 妹です 」と 彼は 言った． リベカ は 美しかったので， その 所の 人¿が リベカ のゆえに 自分を 殺すかもしれないと 思って， 「わたしの 妻です 」と 言うのを 恐れたからである．
  3. イサク は 長らくそこにいたが， ある 日 ペリシテ びとの 王 アビメレク は 窓から 外をながめていて， イサク がその 妻 リベカ と 戱れているのを 見た．
  4. そこで アビメレク は イサク を 召して 言った， 「彼女は 確かにあなたの 妻です． あなたはどうして『彼女はわたしの 妹です 』と 言われたのですか 」． イサク は 彼に 言った， 「わたしは 彼女のゆえに 殺されるかもしれないと 思ったからです 」．
  5. アビメレク は 言った， 「あなたはどうしてこんな 事をわれわれにされたのですか． 民のひとりが 輕¿しくあなたの 妻と 寢るような 事があれば， その 時あなたはわれわれに 罪を 負わせるでしょう 」．
  1. So Isaac lived in Gerar.
  2. When the men of the place asked about his wife, he said, "She is my sister," for he was afraid to say, "my wife," thinking, "the men of the place might kill me on account of Rebekah, for she is beautiful."
  3. It came about, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out through a window, and saw, and behold, Isaac was caressing his wife Rebekah.
  4. Then Abimelech called Isaac and said, "Behold, certainly she is your wife! How then did you say, 'She is my sister'?" And Isaac said to him, "Because I said, 'I might die on account of her.'"
  5. Abimelech said, "What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us."
  1. それで アビメレク はすべての 民に 命じて 言った， 「この 人， またはその 妻にさわる 者は 必ず 死ななければならない 」．
  2. イサク はその 地に 種をまいて， その 年に 百倍の 收穫を 得た． このように 主が 彼を 祝福されたので，
  3. 彼は 富み， またますます 榮えて 非常に 裕福になり，
  4. 羊の 群れ， 牛の 群れ 及び 多くのしもべを 持つようになったので， ペリシテ びとは 彼をねたんだ．
  5. また ペリシテ びとは 彼の 父 アブラハム の 時に， 父のしもべたちが 掘ったすべての 井戶をふさぎ， 土で 埋めた．
  1. So Abimelech charged all the people, saying, "He who touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death."
  2. Now Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. And the LORD blessed him,
  3. and the man became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy;
  4. for he had possessions of flocks and herds and a great household, so that the Philistines envied him.
  5. Now all the wells which his father's servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines stopped up by filling them with earth.
  1. アビメレク は イサク に 言った， 「あなたはわれわれよりも， はるかに 强くなられたから， われわれの 所を 去ってください 」．
  2. イサク はそこを 去り， ゲラル の 谷に 天幕を 張ってその 所に 住んだ．
  3. そして イサク は 父 アブラハム の 時に 人¿の 掘った 水の 井戶を 再び 掘った． アブラハム の 死後， ペリシテ びとがふさいだからである． イサク は 父がつけた 名にしたがってそれらに 名をつけた．
  4. しかし イサク のしもべたちが 谷の 中を 掘って， そこにわき 出る 水の 井戶を 見つけたとき，
  5. ゲラル の 羊飼たちは， 「この 水はわれわれのものだ 」と 言って， イサク の 羊飼たちと 爭ったので， イサク はその 井戶の 名を エセク と 名づけた． 彼らが 彼と 爭ったからである．
  1. Then Abimelech said to Isaac, "Go away from us, for you are too powerful for us."
  2. And Isaac departed from there and camped in the valley of Gerar, and settled there.
  3. Then Isaac dug again the wells of water which had been dug in the days of his father Abraham, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham; and he gave them the same names which his father had given them.
  4. But when Isaac's servants dug in the valley and found there a well of flowing water,
  5. the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with the herdsmen of Isaac, saying, "The water is ours!" So he named the well Esek, because they contended with him.
  1. 彼らはまた 一つの 井戶を 掘ったが， これをも 爭ったので， 名を シテナ と 名づけた．
  2. イサク はそこから 移ってまた 一つの 井戶を 掘ったが， 彼らはこれを 爭わなかったので， その 名を レホボテ と 名づけて 言った， 「いま 主がわれわれの 場所を 廣げられたから， われわれはこの 地にふえるであろう 」．
  1. Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over it too, so he named it Sitnah.
  2. He moved away from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it; so he named it Rehoboth, for he said, "At last the LORD has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land."
