창세기 30:1-30:43

 야곱은 라헬과 레아의 여종들까지 동원한 경쟁적 출산으로 열한 아들을 얻었다. 야곱은 라반에게 품삯을 요구하여 양들 중에서 아롱진 것, 점 있는 것, 얼룩 무늬 있는 것을 자신의 몫으로 정한 후 바라봄의 법칙을 사용하여 풍부한 소유를 갖게 되었다.
  
  레아와 라헬의 출산 경쟁(30:1-30:24)    
 
  1. ラケル は 自分が ヤコブ に 子を 産まないのを 知った 時， 姉をねたんで ヤコブ に 言った， 「わたしに 子どもをください． さもないと， わたしは 死にます 」．
  2. ヤコブ は ラケル に 向かい 怒って 言った， 「あなたの 胎に 子どもをやどらせないのは 神です． わたしが 神に 代ることができようか 」．
  3. ラケル は 言った， 「わたしのつかえめ ビルハ がいます． 彼女の 所におはいりなさい． 彼女が 子を 産んで， わたしのひざに 置きます． そうすれば， わたしもまた 彼女によって 子を 持つでしょう 」．
  4. ラケル はつかえめ ビルハ を 彼に 與えて， 妻とさせたので， ヤコブ は 彼女の 所にはいった．
  5. ビルハ は， みごもって ヤコブ に 子を 産んだ．
  1. Now when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, she became jealous of her sister; and she said to Jacob, "Give me children, or else I die."
  2. Then Jacob's anger burned against Rachel, and he said, "Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?"
  3. She said, "Here is my maid Bilhah, go in to her that she may bear on my knees, that through her I too may have children."
  4. So she gave him her maid Bilhah as a wife, and Jacob went in to her.
  5. Bilhah conceived and bore Jacob a son.
  1. そこで ラケル は， 「神はわたしの 訴えに 答え， またわたしの 聲を 聞いて， わたしに 子を 賜わった 」と 言って， 名を ダン と 名づけた．
  2. ラケル のつかえめ ビルハ はまた， みごもって 第二の 子を ヤコブ に 産んだ．
  3. そこで ラケル は， 「わたしは 激しい 爭いで， 姉と 爭って 勝った 」と 言って， 名を ナフタリ と 名づけた．
  4. さて レア は 自分が 子を 産むことのやんだのを 見たとき， つかえめ ジルパ を 取り， 妻として ヤコブ に 與えた．
  5. レア のつかえめ ジルパ は ヤコブ に 子を 産んだ．
  1. Then Rachel said, "God has vindicated me, and has indeed heard my voice and has given me a son." Therefore she named him Dan.
  2. Rachel's maid Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son.
  3. So Rachel said, "With mighty wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and I have indeed prevailed." And she named him Naphtali.
  4. When Leah saw that she had stopped bearing, she took her maid Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife.
  5. Leah's maid Zilpah bore Jacob a son.
  1. そこで レア は， 「幸運がきた 」と 言って， 名を ガド と 名づけた．
  2. レア のつかえめ ジルパ は 第二の 子を ヤコブ に 産んだ．
  3. そこで レア は， 「わたしは， しあわせです． 娘たちはわたしをしあわせな 者と 言うでしょう 」と 言って， 名を アセル と 名づけた．
  4. さて ルベン は 麥刈りの 日に 野に 出て， 野で 戀なすびを 見つけ， それを 母 レア のもとに 持ってきた． ラケル は レア に 言った， 「あなたの 子の 戀なすびをどうぞわたしにください 」．
  5. レア は ラケル に 言った， 「あなたがわたしの 夫を 取ったのは 小さな 事でしょうか． その 上， あなたはまたわたしの 子の 戀なすびをも 取ろうとするのですか 」． ラケル は 言った， 「それではあなたの 子の 戀なすびに 換えて， 今夜彼をあなたと 共に 寢させましょう 」．
  1. Then Leah said, "How fortunate!" So she named him Gad.
  2. Leah's maid Zilpah bore Jacob a second son.
  3. Then Leah said, "Happy am I! For women will call me happy." So she named him Asher.
  4. Now in the days of wheat harvest Reuben went and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, "Please give me some of your son's mandrakes."
  5. But she said to her, "Is it a small matter for you to take my husband? And would you take my son's mandrakes also?" So Rachel said, "Therefore he may lie with you tonight in return for your son's mandrakes."
  1. 夕方になって， ヤコブ が 野から 歸ってきたので， レア は 彼を 出迎えて 言った， 「わたしの 子の 戀なすびをもって， わたしがあなたを 雇ったのですから， あなたはわたしの 所に， はいらなければなりません 」． ヤコブ はその 夜 レア と 共に 寢た．

  4. レア はまた， みごもって 六番目の 子を ヤコブ に 産んだ．
  5. そこで レア は， 「神はわたしに 良い 賜物をたまわった． わたしは 六人の 子を 夫に 産んだから， 今こそ 彼はわたしと 一緖に 住むでしょう 」と 言って， その 名を ゼブルン と 名づけた．
  1. When Jacob came in from the field in the evening, then Leah went out to meet him and said, "You must come in to me, for I have surely hired you with my son's mandrakes." So he lay with her that night.
  2. God gave heed to Leah, and she conceived and bore Jacob a fifth son.
  3. Then Leah said, "God has given me my wages because I gave my maid to my husband." So she named him Issachar.
  4. Leah conceived again and bore a sixth son to Jacob.
  5. Then Leah said, "God has endowed me with a good gift; now my husband will dwell with me, because I have borne him six sons." So she named him Zebulun.
  1. その 後， 彼女はひとりの 娘を 産んで， 名を デナ と 名づけた．
  2. 次に 神は ラケル を 心にとめられ， 彼女の 願いを 聞き， その 胎を 開かれたので，

  1. Afterward she bore a daughter and named her Dinah.
  2. Then God remembered Rachel, and God gave heed to her and opened her womb.
  3. So she conceived and bore a son and said, "God has taken away my reproach."
  4. She named him Joseph, saying, "May the LORD give me another son."
 
  라반과 야곱의 임금 계약(30:25-30:43)    
 
  1. ラケル が ヨセフ を 産んだ 時， ヤコブ は ラバン に 言った， 「わたしを 去らせて， わたしの 故鄕， わたしの 國へ 行かせてください．
  2. あなたに 仕えて 得たわたしの 妻子を， わたしに 與えて 行かせてください． わたしがあなたのために ¿いた 骨折りは， あなたがごぞんじです 」．
  3. ラバン は 彼に 言った， 「もし， あなたの 心にかなうなら， とどまってください． わたしは 主があなたのゆえに， わたしを 惠まれるしるしを 見ました 」．
  4. また 言った， 「あなたの 報酬を 申し 出てください． わたしはそれを 拂います 」．
  5. ヤコブ は 彼に 言った， 「わたしがどのようにあなたに 仕えたか， またどのようにあなたの 家畜を 飼ったかは， あなたがごぞんじです．
  1. Now it came about when Rachel had borne Joseph, that Jacob said to Laban, "Send me away, that I may go to my own place and to my own country.
  2. "Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served you, and let me depart; for you yourself know my service which I have rendered you."
  3. But Laban said to him, "If now it pleases you, stay with me; I have divined that the LORD has blessed me on your account."
  4. He continued, "Name me your wages, and I will give it."
  5. But he said to him, "You yourself know how I have served you and how your cattle have fared with me.
  1. わたしが 來る 前には， あなたの 持っておられたものはわずかでしたが， ふえて 多くなりました． 主はわたしの 行く 所どこでも， あなたを 惠まれました． しかし， いつになったらわたしも 自分の 家を 成すようになるでしょうか 」．
  2. 彼は 言った， 「何をあなたにあげようか 」． ヤコブ は 言った， 「なにもわたしにくださるに 及びません． もしあなたが， わたしのためにこの 一つの 事をしてくださるなら， わたしは 今一度あなたの 群れを 飼い， 守りましょう．
  3. わたしはきょう， あなたの 群れをみな 回ってみて， その 中からすべてぶちとまだらの 羊， およびすべて 黑い 小羊と， やぎの 中のまだらのものと， ぶちのものとを 移しますが， これをわたしの 報酬としましょう．
  4. あとで， あなたがきて， あなたの 前でわたしの 報酬をしらべる 時， わたしの 正しい 事が 證明されるでしょう． もしも， やぎの 中にぶちのないもの， まだらでないものがあったり， 小羊の 中に 黑くないものがあれば， それはみなわたしが 盜んだものとなるでしょう 」．
  5. ラバン は 言った， 「よろしい． あなたの 言われるとおりにしましょう 」．
  1. "For you had little before I came and it has increased to a multitude, and the LORD has blessed you wherever I turned. But now, when shall I provide for my own household also?"
  2. So he said, "What shall I give you?" And Jacob said, "You shall not give me anything. If you will do this one thing for me, I will again pasture and keep your flock:
  3. let me pass through your entire flock today, removing from there every speckled and spotted sheep and every black one among the lambs and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and such shall be my wages.
  4. "So my honesty will answer for me later, when you come concerning my wages. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats and black among the lambs, if found with me, will be considered stolen."
  5. Laban said, "Good, let it be according to your word."
  1. そこで ラバン はその 日， 雄やぎのしまのあるもの， まだらのもの， すべて 雌やぎのぶちのもの， まだらのもの， すべて 白みをおびているもの， またすべて 小羊の 中の 黑いものを 移して 子らの 手にわたし，
  2. ヤコブ との 間に 三日路の 隔たりを 設けた． ヤコブ は ラバン の 殘りの 群れを 飼った．
  3. ヤコブ は， はこやなぎと， あめんどうと， すずかけの 木のなまの 枝を 取り， 皮をはいでそれに 白い 筋をつくり， 枝の 白い 所を 表わし，
  4. 皮をはいだ 枝を， 群れがきて 水を 飮む 鉢， すなわち 水ぶねの 中に， 群れに 向かわせて 置いた． 群れは 水を 飮みにきた 時に， はらんだ．
  5. すなわち 群れは 枝の 前で， はらんで， しまのあるもの， ぶちのもの， まだらのものを 産んだ．
  1. So he removed on that day the striped and spotted male goats and all the speckled and spotted female goats, every one with white in it, and all the black ones among the sheep, and gave them into the care of his sons.
  2. And he put a distance of three days' journey between himself and Jacob, and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.
  3. Then Jacob took fresh rods of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white stripes in them, exposing the white which was in the rods.
  4. He set the rods which he had peeled in front of the flocks in the gutters, even in the watering troughs, where the flocks came to drink; and they mated when they came to drink.
  5. So the flocks mated by the rods, and the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted.
  1. ヤコブ はその 小羊を 別においた． 彼はまた 群れの 顔を ラバン の 群れのしまのあるものと， すべて 黑いものとに 向かわせた． そして 自分の 群れを 別にまとめておいて， ラバン の 群れには， 入れなかった．
  2. また 群れの 强いものが 發情した 時には， ヤコブ は 水ぶねの 中に， その 群れの 目の 前に， かの 枝を 置いて， 枝の 間で， はらませた．
  3. けれども 群れの 弱いものの 時には， それを 置かなかった． こうして 弱いものは ラバン のものとなり， 强いものは ヤコブ のものとなったので，
  4. この 人は 大いに 富み， 多くの 群れと， 男女の 奴隷， およびらくだ， ろばを 持つようになった．
  1. Jacob separated the lambs, and made the flocks face toward the striped and all the black in the flock of Laban; and he put his own herds apart, and did not put them with Laban's flock.
  2. Moreover, whenever the stronger of the flock were mating, Jacob would place the rods in the sight of the flock in the gutters, so that they might mate by the rods;
  3. but when the flock was feeble, he did not put them in; so the feebler were Laban's and the stronger Jacob's.
  4. So the man became exceedingly prosperous, and had large flocks and female and male servants and camels and donkeys.
