- イエス はこれらのことを 語り 終えられてから， ガリラヤ を 去って ヨルダン の 向こうの ユダヤ の 地方へ 行かれた．
- すると 大ぜいの 群衆がついてきたので， 彼らをそこでおいやしになった．
- さて パリサイ 人たちが 近づいてきて， イエス を 試みようとして 言った， 「何かの 理由で， 夫がその 妻を 出すのは， さしつかえないでしょうか 」．
- イエス は 答えて 言われた， 「あなたがたはまだ 讀んだことがないのか． 『創造者は 初めから 人を 男と 女とに 造られ，
- そして 言われた， それゆえに， 人は 父母を 離れ， その 妻と 結ばれ， ふたりの 者は 一體となるべきである 』．

- When Jesus had finished these words, He departed from Galilee and came into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan;
- and large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.
- Some Pharisees came to Jesus, testing Him and asking, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all?"
- And He answered and said, "Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE,
- and said, 'FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'?

- 彼らはもはや， ふたりではなく 一體である． だから， 神が 合わせられたものを， 人は 離してはならない 」．
- 彼らは イエス に 言った， 「それでは， なぜ モ ― セ は， 妻を 出す 場合には 離緣狀を 渡せ， と 定めたのですか 」．
- イエス が 言われた， 「モ ― セ はあなたがたの 心が， かたくななので， 妻を 出すことを 許したのだが， 初めからそうではなかった．
- そこでわたしはあなたがたに 言う． 不品行のゆえでなくて， 自分の 妻を 出して 他の 女をめとる 者は， 姦淫を 行うのである 」．
- 弟子たちは 言った， 「もし 妻に 對する 夫の 立場がそうだとすれば， 結婚しない 方がましです 」．

- "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
- They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to GIVE HER A CERTIFICATE OF DIVORCE AND SEND her AWAY?"
- He said to them, "Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way.
- "And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery."
- The disciples said to Him, "If the relationship of the man with his wife is like this, it is better not to marry."

- すると イエス は 彼らに 言われた， 「その 言葉を 受けいれることができるのはすべての 人ではなく， ただそれを 授けられている 人¿だけである．
- というのは， 母の 胎內から 獨身者に 生れついているものがあり， また 他から 獨身者にされたものもあり， また 天國のために， みずから 進んで 獨身者となったものもある． この 言葉を 受けられる 者は， 受けいれるがよい 」．
- そのとき， イエス に 手をおいて 祈っていただくために， 人¿が 幼な 子らをみもとに 連れてきた． ところが， 弟子たちは 彼らをたしなめた．
- すると イエス は 言われた， 「幼な 子らをそのままにしておきなさい． わたしのところに 來るのをとめてはならない． 天國はこのような 者の 國である 」．
- そして 手を 彼らの 上においてから， そこを 去って 行かれた．

- But He said to them, "Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it has been given.
- "For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are also eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to accept this, let him accept it."
- Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them.
- But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
- After laying His hands on them, He departed from there.
