	출애굽기 5:1-6:30 모세는 바로 앞에 서서 이스라엘 백성을 보내어 광야에서 하나님께 절기를 지키게 할 것을 요청했다. 그러나 바로는 오히려 이스라엘 백성들의 고역을 더욱 무겁게 하였다. 이에 실망한 모세가 하나님께 기도하자 하나님께서는 다시 한번 이스라엘 백성을 구하실 것을 확신시켜 주셨다.

	바로와의 1차 대면(5:1-5:23)

その後，モ ― セとアロンは行ってパロに言った，「イスラエルの神，主はこう言われる，『わたしの民を去らせ，荒野で，わたしのために祭をさせなさい』と」．

パロは言った，「主とはいったい何者か．わたしがその聲に聞き從ってイスラエルを去らせなければならないのか．わたしは主を知らない．またイスラエルを去らせはしない」．

彼らは言った，「ヘブルびとの神がわたしたちに現れました．どうか，わたしたちを三日の道のりほど荒野に行かせ，わたしたちの神，主に ¿牲をささげさせてください．そうしなければ主は疫病か，つるぎをもって，わたしたちを惱まされるからです」．

エジプトの王は彼らに言った，「モ ― セとアロンよ，あなたがたは，なぜ民に ¿きをやめさせようとするのか．自分の勞役につくがよい」．

パロはまた言った，「見よ，今や土民の數は多い．しかも，あなたがたは彼らに勞役を休ませようとするのか」．

And afterward Moses and Aaron came and said to Pharaoh, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Let My people go that they may celebrate a feast to Me in the wilderness.'"

But Pharaoh said, "Who is the LORD that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, and besides, I will not let Israel go."

Then they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go a three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God, otherwise He will fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword."

But the king of Egypt said to them, "Moses and Aaron, why do you draw the people away from their work? Get back to your labors!"

Again Pharaoh said, "Look, the people of the land are now many, and you would have them cease from their labors!"

その日，パロは民を追い使う者と，民のかしらたちに命じて言った，

「あなたがたは，れんがを作るためのわらを，もはや，今までのように，この民に與えてはならない．彼らに自分で行って，わらを集めさせなさい．

また前に作っていた，れんがの數どおりに彼らに作らせ，それを減らしてはならない．彼らはなまけ者だ．それだから，彼らは叫んで，『行ってわたしたちの神に ¿牲をささげさせよ』と言うのだ．

この人¿の勞役を重くして， ¿かせ，僞りの言葉に心を寄せさせぬようにしなさい」．

そこで民を追い使う者たちと，民のかしらたちは出て行って，民に言った，「パロはこう仰せられる，『あなたがたに，わらは與えない．

So the same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters over the people and their foremen, saying,

"You are no longer to give the people straw to make brick as previously; let them go and gather straw for themselves.

"But the quota of bricks which they were making previously, you shall impose on them; you are not to reduce any of it. Because they are lazy, therefore they cry out, 'Let us go and sacrifice to our God.'

"Let the labor be heavier on the men, and let them work at it so that they will pay no attention to false words."

So the taskmasters of the people and their foremen went out and spoke to the people, saying, "Thus says Pharaoh, 'I am not going to give you any straw.

自分で行って，見つかる所から，わらを取って來るがよい．しかし ¿きは少しも減らしてはならない』と」．

そこで民はエジプトの全地に散って，わらのかわりに，刈り株を集めた．

追い使う者たちは，彼らをせき立てて言った，「わらがあった時と同じように，あなたがたの ¿きの，日ごとの分を仕上げなければならない」．

パロの追い使う者たちがイスラエルの人¿の上に立てたかしらたちは，打たれて，「なぜ，あなたがたは，れんが作りの仕事を，きょうも，前のように仕上げないのか」と言われた．

'You go and get straw for yourselves wherever you can find it, but none of your labor will be reduced.'"

So the people scattered through all the land of Egypt to gather stubble for straw.

The taskmasters pressed them, saying, "Complete your work quota, your daily amount, just as when you had straw."

Moreover, the foremen of the sons of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, "Why have you not completed your required amount either yesterday or today in making brick as previously?"

Then the foremen of the sons of Israel came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, "Why do you deal this way with your servants?

しもべどもは，わらを與えられず，しかも彼らはわたしたちに，『れんがは作れ』と言うのです．その上，しもべどもは打たれています．罪はあなたの民にあるのです」．

パロは言った，「あなたがたは，なまけ者だ，なまけ者だ．それだから，『行って，主に ¿牲をささげさせよ』と言うのだ．

さあ，行って ¿きなさい．わらは與えないが，なおあなたがたは定めた數のれんがを納めなければならない」．

イスラエルの人¿のかしらたちは，「れんがの日ごとの分を減らしてはならない」と言われたので，惡い事態になったことを知った．

彼らがパロを離れて出てきた時，彼らに會おうとして立っていたモ ― セとアロンに會ったので，

"There is no straw given to your servants, yet they keep saying to us, 'Make bricks!' And behold, your servants are being beaten; but it is the fault of your own people."

But he said, "You are lazy, very lazy; therefore you say, 'Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.'

"So go now and work; for you will be given no straw, yet you must deliver the quota of bricks."

The foremen of the sons of Israel saw that they were in trouble because they were told, "You must not reduce your daily amount of bricks."

When they left Pharaoh's presence, they met Moses and Aaron as they were waiting for them.

彼らに言った，「主があなたがたをごらんになって，さばかれますように．あなたがたは，わたしたちをパロとその家來たちにきらわせ，つるぎを彼らの手に渡して，殺させようとしておられるのです」．

モ ― セは主のもとに歸って言った，「主よ，あなたは，なぜこの民をひどい目にあわされるのですか．なんのためにわたしをつかわされたのですか．

わたしがパロのもとに行って，あなたの名によって語ってからこのかた，彼はこの民をひどい目にあわせるばかりです．また，あなたは，すこしもあなたの民を救おうとなさいません」．

They said to them, "May the LORD look upon you and judge you, for you have made us odious in Pharaoh's sight and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us."

Then Moses returned to the LORD and said, "O Lord, why have You brought harm to this people? Why did You ever send me?

"Ever since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done harm to this people, and You have not delivered Your people at all."

	언약의 하나님(6:1-6:30)

主はモ ― セに言われた，「今，あなたは，わたしがパロに何をしようとしているかを見るであろう．すなわちパロは强い手にしいられて，彼らを去らせるであろう．否，彼は强い手にしいられて，彼らを國から追い出すであろう」．

神はモ ― セに言われた，「わたしは主である．

わたしはアブラハム，イサク，ヤコブには全能の神として現れたが，主という名では，自分を彼らに知らせなかった．

わたしはまたカナンの地，すなわち彼らが寄留したその寄留の地を，彼らに與えるという契約を彼らと立てた．

わたしはまた，エジプトびとが奴隷としているイスラエルの人¿のうめきを聞いて，わたしの契約を思い出した．

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for under compulsion he will let them go, and under compulsion he will drive them out of his land."

God spoke further to Moses and said to him, "I am the LORD;

and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name, LORD, I did not make Myself known to them.

"I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they sojourned.

"Furthermore I have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Egyptians are holding them in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.

それゆえ，イスラエルの人¿に言いなさい，『わたしは主である．わたしはあなたがたをエジプトびとの勞役の下から導き出し，奴隷の務から救い，また伸べた腕と大いなるさばきをもって，あなたがたをあがなうであろう．

わたしはあなたがたを取ってわたしの民とし，わたしはあなたがたの神となる．わたしがエジプトびとの勞役の下からあなたがたを導き出すあなたがたの神，主であることを，あなたがたは知るであろう．

わたしはアブラハム，イサク，ヤコブに與えると手を擧げて誓ったその地にあなたがたをはいらせ，それを所有として，與えるであろう．わたしは主である』と」．

モ ― セはこのようにイスラエルの人¿に語ったが，彼らは心の痛みと，きびしい奴隷の務のゆえに，モ ― セに聞き從わなかった．

さて主はモ ― セに言われた，

"Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

'Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

'I will bring you to the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you for a possession; I am the LORD.'"

So Moses spoke thus to the sons of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses on account of their despondency and cruel bondage.

Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

「エジプトの王パロのところに行って，彼がイスラエルの人¿をその國から去らせるように話しなさい」．

モ ― セは主にむかって言った，「イスラエルの人¿でさえ，わたしの言うことを聞かなかったのに，どうして，くちびるに割禮のないわたしの言うことを，パロが聞き入れましょうか」．

しかし，主はモ ―긜とアロンに語って，イスラエルの人¿と，エジプトの王パロのもとに行かせ，イスラエルの人¿をエジプトの地から導き出せと命じられた．

"Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the sons of Israel go out of his land."

But Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, "Behold, the sons of Israel have not listened to me; how then will Pharaoh listen to me, for I am unskilled in speech?"

Then the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a charge to the sons of Israel and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

These are the heads of their fathers' households. The sons of Reuben, Israel's firstborn: Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben.

The sons of Simeon: Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon.

レビの子らの名は，その世代に從えば，ゲルション，コハテ，メラリで，レビの一生は百三十七年であった．

ゲルションの子らの一族はリブニとシメイである．

コハテの子らはアムラム，イヅハル，ヘブロン，ウジエルで，コハテの一生は百三十三年であった．

メラリの子らはマヘリとムシである．これらはその世代によるレビの一族である．

アムラムは父の妹ヨケベデを妻としたが，彼女はアロンとモ ― セを彼に産んだ．アムラムの一生は百三十七年であった．

These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon and Kohath and Merari; and the length of Levi's life was one hundred and thirty-seven years.

The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families.

The sons of Kohath: Amram and Izhar and Hebron and Uzziel; and the length of Kohath's life was one hundred and thirty-three years.

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations.

Amram married his father's sister Jochebed, and she bore him Aaron and Moses; and the length of Amram's life was one hundred and thirty-seven years.

イヅハルの子らはコラ，ネペグ，ジクリである．

ウジエルの子らはミサエル，エルザパン，シテリである．

アロンはナションの姉妹，アミナダブの娘エリセバを妻とした．エリセバは彼にナダブ，アビウ，エレアザル，イタマルを産んだ．

コラの子らはアッシル，エルカナ，アビアサフで，これらはコラびとの一族である．

アロンの子エレアザルはプテエルの娘のひとりを妻とした．彼女はピネハスを彼に産んだ．これらは，その一族によるレビびとの先祖の家の首長たちである．

The sons of Izhar: Korah and Nepheg and Zichri.

The sons of Uzziel: Mishael and Elzaphan and Sithri.

Aaron married Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

The sons of Korah: Assir and Elkanah and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites.

Aaron's son Eleazar married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers' households of the Levites according to their families.

主が，「イスラエルの人¿をその軍團に從って，エジプトの地から導き出しなさい」と言われたのは，このアロンとモ ― セである．

彼らはイスラエルの人¿をエジプトから導き出すことについて，エジプトの王パロに語ったもので，すなわちこのモ ― セとアロンである．

主がエジプトの地でモ ― セに語られた日に，

主はモ ― セに言われた，「わたしは主である．わたしがあなたに語ることは，みなエジプトの王パロに語りなさい」．

It was the same Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, "Bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their hosts."

They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the sons of Israel from Egypt; it was the same Moses and Aaron.

Now it came about on the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,

that the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "I am the LORD; speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I speak to you."

But Moses said before the LORD, "Behold, I am unskilled in speech; how then will Pharaoh listen to me?"
