- こうして 彼らは 海の 向こう 岸， ゲラサ 人の 地に 着いた．
- それから， イエス が 舟からあがられるとすぐに， けがれた 靈につかれた 人が 墓場から 出てきて， イエス に 出會った．
- この 人は 墓場をすみかとしており， もはやだれも， 鎖でさえも 彼をつなぎとめて 置けなかった．
- 彼はたびたび 足かせや 鎖でつながれたが， 鎖を 引きちぎり， 足かせを ¿くので， だれも 彼を 押えつけることができなかったからである．
- そして， 夜¿たえまなく 墓場や 山で 叫びつづけて， 石で 自分のからだを 傷つけていた．

- They came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasenes.
- When He got out of the boat, immediately a man from the tombs with an unclean spirit met Him,
- and he had his dwelling among the tombs. And no one was able to bind him anymore, even with a chain;
- because he had often been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him and the shackles broken in pieces, and no one was strong enough to subdue him.
- Constantly, night and day, he was screaming among the tombs and in the mountains, and gashing himself with stones.

- ところが， この 人が イエス を 遠くから 見て， 走り 寄って 拜し，
- 大聲で 叫んで 言った， 「いと 高き 神の 子 イエス よ， あなたはわたしとなんの 係わりがあるのです． 神に 誓ってお 願いします． どうぞ， わたしを 苦しめないでください 」．
- それは， イエス が， 「けがれた 靈よ， この 人から 出て 行け 」と 言われたからである．
- また 彼に， 「なんという 名前か 」と 尋ねられると， 「レギオン と 言います． 大ぜいなのですから 」と 答えた．
- そして， 自分たちをこの 土地から 追い 出さないようにと， しきりに 願いつづけた．

- Seeing Jesus from a distance, he ran up and bowed down before Him;
- and shouting with a loud voice, he said, "What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!"
- For He had been saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!"
- And He was asking him, "What is your name?" And he said to Him, "My name is Legion; for we are many."
- And he began to implore Him earnestly not to send them out of the country.

- さて， そこの 山の 中腹に， 豚の 大群が 飼ってあった．
- 靈は イエス に 願って 言った， 「わたしどもを， 豚にはいらせてください． その 中へ 送ってください 」．
- イエス がお 許しになったので， けがれた 靈どもは 出て 行って， 豚の 中へはいり ¿んだ． すると， その 群れは 二千匹ばかりであったが， がけから 海へなだれを 打って 驅け 下り， 海の 中でおぼれ 死んでしまった．
- 豚を 飼う 者たちが 逃げ 出して， 町や 村にふれまわったので， 人¿は 何事が 起ったのかと 見にきた．
- そして， イエス のところにきて， 惡靈につかれた 人が 着物を 着て， 正氣になってすわっており， それが レギオン を 宿していた 者であるのを 見て， 恐れた．

- Now there was a large herd of swine feeding nearby on the mountain.
- The demons implored Him, saying, "Send us into the swine so that we may enter them."
- Jesus gave them permission. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.
- Their herdsmen ran away and reported it in the city and in the country. And the people came to see what it was that had happened.
- They came to Jesus and observed the man who had been demon-possessed sitting down, clothed and in his right mind, the very man who had had the "legion"; and they became frightened.

- また， それを 見た 人たちは， 惡靈につかれた 人の 身に 起った 事と 豚のこととを， 彼らに 話して 聞かせた．
- そこで， 人¿は イエス に， この 地方から 出て 行っていただきたいと， 賴みはじめた．
- イエス が 舟に 乘ろうとされると， 惡靈につかれていた 人がお 供をしたいと 願い 出た．
- しかし， イエス はお 許しにならないで， 彼に 言われた， 「あなたの 家族のもとに 歸って， 主がどんなに 大きなことをしてくださったか， またどんなにあわれんでくださったか， それを 知らせなさい 」．
- そこで， 彼は 立ち 去り， そして 自分に イエス がしてくださったことを， ことごとく デカポリス の 地方に 言いひろめ 出したので， 人¿はみな 驚き 怪しんだ．

- Those who had seen it described to them how it had happened to the demon-possessed man, and all about the swine.
- And they began to implore Him to leave their region.
- As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed was imploring Him that he might accompany Him.
- And He did not let him, but He said to him, "Go home to your people and report to them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you."
- And he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.

- イエス がまた 舟で 向こう 岸へ 渡られると， 大ぜいの 群衆がみもとに 集まってきた． イエス は 海べにおられた．
- そこへ， 會堂司のひとりである ヤイロ という 者がきて， イエス を 見かけるとその 足もとにひれ 伏し，
- しきりに 願って 言った， 「わたしの 幼い 娘が 死にかかっています． どうぞ， その 子がなおって 助かりますように， おいでになって， 手をおいてやってください 」．
- そこで， イエス は 彼と 一緖に 出かけられた． 大ぜいの 群衆も イエス に 押し 迫りながら， ついて 行った．
- さてここに， 十二年間も 長血をわずらっている 女がいた．

- When Jesus had crossed over again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him; and so He stayed by the seashore.
- One of the synagogue officials named Jairus came up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet
- and implored Him earnestly, saying, "My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live."
- And He went off with him; and a large crowd was following Him and pressing in on Him.
- A woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years,

- 多くの 醫者にかかって， さんざん 苦しめられ， その 持ち 物をみな 費してしまったが， なんのかいもないばかりか， かえってますます 惡くなる 一方であった．
- この 女が イエス のことを 聞いて， 群衆の 中にまぎれ ¿み， うしろから， み 衣にさわった．
- それは， せめて， み 衣にでもさわれば， なおしていただけるだろうと， 思っていたからである．
- すると， 血の 元がすぐにかわき， 女は 病氣がなおったことを， その 身に 感じた．
- イエス はすぐ， 自分の 內から 力が 出て 行ったことに 氣づかれて， 群衆の 中で 振り 向き， 「わたしの 着物にさわったのはだれか 」と 言われた．

- and had endured much at the hands of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was not helped at all, but rather had grown worse--
- after hearing about Jesus, she came up in the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak.
- For she thought, "If I just touch His garments, I will get well."
- Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
- Immediately Jesus, perceiving in Himself that the power proceeding from Him had gone forth, turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My garments?"

- そこで 弟子たちが 言った， 「ごらんのとおり， 群衆があなたに 押し 迫っていますのに， だれがさわったかと， おっしゃるのですか 」．
- しかし， イエス はさわった 者を 見つけようとして， 見まわしておられた．
- その 女は 自分の 身に 起ったことを 知って， 恐れおののきながら 進み 出て， みまえにひれ 伏して， すべてありのままを 申し 上げた．
- イエス はその 女に 言われた， 「娘よ， あなたの 信仰があなたを 救ったのです． 安心して 行きなさい． すっかりなおって， 達者でいなさい 」．

- And His disciples said to Him, "You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?'"
- And He looked around to see the woman who had done this.
- But the woman fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
- And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction."
