- ユダヤ 人らは， イエス が「わたしは 天から 下ってきた パン である 」と 言われたので， イエス についてつぶやき 始めた．
- そして 言った， 「これは ヨセフ の 子 イエス ではないか． わたしたちはその 父母を 知っているではないか． わたしは 天から 下ってきたと， どうして 今いうのか 」．
- イエス は 彼らに 答えて 言われた， 「互につぶやいてはいけない．
- わたしをつかわされた 父が 引きよせて 下さらなければ， だれもわたしに 來ることはできない． わたしは， その 人¿を 終りの 日によみがえらせるであろう．
- 預言者の 書に， 『彼らはみな 神に 敎えられるであろう 』と 書いてある． 父から 聞いて 學んだ 者は， みなわたしに 來るのである．

- Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him, because He said, "I am the bread that came down out of heaven."
- They were saying, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now say, 'I have come down out of heaven'?"
- Jesus answered and said to them, "Do not grumble among yourselves.
- "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.
- "It is written in the prophets, 'AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.

- 神から 出た 者のほかに， だれかが 父を 見たのではない． その 者だけが 父を 見たのである．
- よくよくあなたがたに 言っておく． 信じる 者には 永遠の 命がある．
- わたしは 命の パン である．
- あなたがたの 先祖は 荒野で マナ を 食べたが， 死んでしまった．
- しかし， 天から 下ってきた パン を 食べる 人は， 決して 死ぬことはない．

- "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.
- "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.
- "I am the bread of life.
- "Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
- "This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.

- わたしは 天から 下ってきた 生きた パン である． それを 食べる 者は， いつまでも 生きるであろう． わたしが 與える パン は， 世の 命のために 與えるわたしの 肉である 」．
- そこで， ユダヤ 人らが 互に 論じて 言った， 「この 人はどうして， 自分の 肉をわたしたちに 與えて 食べさせることができようか 」．
- イエス は 彼らに 言われた， 「よくよく 言っておく． 人の 子の 肉を 食べず， また， その 血を 飮まなければ， あなたがたの 內に 命はない．
- わたしの 肉を 食べ， わたしの 血を 飮む 者には， 永遠の 命があり， わたしはその 人を 終りの 日によみがえらせるであろう．
- わたしの 肉はまことの 食物， わたしの 血はまことの 飮み 物である．

- "I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh."
- Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying, "How can this man give us His flesh to eat?"
- So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.
- "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
- "For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.

- わたしの 肉を 食べ， わたしの 血を 飮む 者はわたしにおり， わたしもまたその 人におる．
- 生ける 父がわたしをつかわされ， また， わたしが 父によって 生きているように， わたしを 食べる 者もわたしによって 生きるであろう．
- 天から 下ってきた パン は， 先祖たちが 食べたが 死んでしまったようなものではない． この パン を 食べる 者は， いつまでも 生きるであろう 」．
- これらのことは， イエス が カペナウム の 會堂で 敎えておられたときに 言われたものである．
- 弟子たちのうちの 多くの 者は， これを 聞いて 言った， 「これは， ひどい 言葉だ． だれがそんなことを 聞いておられようか 」．

- "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
- "As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.
- "This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever."
- These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.
- Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this said, "This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?"

- しかし イエス は， 弟子たちがそのことでつぶやいているのを 見破って， 彼らに 言われた， 「このことがあなたがたのつまずきになるのか．
- それでは， もし 人の 子が 前にいた 所に 上るのを 見たら， どうなるのか．
- 人を 生かすものは 靈であって， 肉はなんの 役にも 立たない． わたしがあなたがたに 話した 言葉は 靈であり， また 命である．
- しかし， あなたがたの 中には 信じない 者がいる 」． イエス は， 初めから， だれが 信じないか， また， だれが 彼を 裏切るかを 知っておられたのである．
- そして イエス は 言われた， 「それだから， 父が 與えて 下さった 者でなければ， わたしに 來ることはできないと， 言ったのである 」．

- But Jesus, conscious that His disciples grumbled at this, said to them, "Does this cause you to stumble?
- "What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?
- "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
- "But there are some of you who do not believe " For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him.
- And He was saying, "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father."

- それ 以來， 多くの 弟子たちは 去っていって， もはや イエス と 行動を 共にしなかった．
- そこで イエス は 十二弟子に 言われた， 「あなたがたも 去ろうとするのか 」．
- シモン · ペテロ が 答えた， 「主よ， わたしたちは， だれのところに 行きましょう． 永遠の 命の 言をもっているのはあなたです．
- わたしたちは， あなたが 神の 聖者であることを 信じ， また 知っています 」．
- イエス は 彼らに 答えられた， 「あなたがた 十二人を 選んだのは， わたしではなかったか． それだのに， あなたがたのうちのひとりは 惡魔である 」．

- As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore.
- So Jesus said to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?"
- Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.
- "We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God."
- Jesus answered them, "Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?"

- これは， イスカリオテ の シモン の 子 ユダ をさして 言われたのである． この ユダ は， 十二弟子のひとりでありながら， イエス を 裏切ろうとしていた．

- Now He meant Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray Him.
