- 祭で 禮拜するために 上ってきた 人¿のうちに， 數人の ギリシヤ 人がいた．
- 彼らは ガリラヤ の ベツサイダ 出である ピリポ のところにきて， 「君よ， イエス にお 目にかかりたいのですが 」と 言って 賴んだ．
- ピリポ は アンデレ のところに 行ってそのことを 話し， アンデレ と ピリポ は， イエス のもとに 行って 傳えた．
- すると， イエス は 答えて 言われた， 「人の 子が 榮光を 受ける 時がきた．
- よくよくあなたがたに 言っておく． 一粒の 麥が 地に 落ちて 死ななければ， それはただ 一粒のままである． しかし， もし 死んだなら， 豊かに 實を 結ぶようになる．

- Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;
- these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."
- Philip came and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus.
- And Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
- "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

- 自分の 命を 愛する 者はそれを 失い， この 世で 自分の 命を 憎む 者は， それを 保って 永遠の 命に 至るであろう．
- もしわたしに 仕えようとする 人があれば， その 人はわたしに 從って 來るがよい． そうすれば， わたしのおる 所に， わたしに 仕える 者もまた， おるであろう． もしわたしに 仕えようとする 人があれば， その 人を 父は 重んじて 下さるであろう．
- 今わたしは 心が ¿いでいる． わたしはなんと 言おうか． 父よ， この 時からわたしをお 救い 下さい． しかし， わたしはこのために， この 時に 至ったのです．
- 父よ， み 名があがめられますように 」． すると 天から 聲があった， 「わたしはすでに 榮光をあらわした． そして， 更にそれをあらわすであろう 」．
- すると， そこに 立っていた 群衆がこれを 聞いて， 「雷がなったのだ 」と 言い， ほかの 人たちは， 「御使が 彼に 話しかけたのだ 」と 言った．

- "He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.
- "If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
- "Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this purpose I came to this hour.
- "Father, glorify Your name " Then a voice came out of heaven: "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."
- So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, "An angel has spoken to Him."

- イエス は 答えて 言われた， 「この 聲があったのは， わたしのためではなく， あなたがたのためである．
- 今はこの 世がさばかれる 時である． 今こそこの 世の 君は 追い 出されるであろう．
- そして， わたしがこの 地から 上げられる 時には， すべての 人をわたしのところに 引きよせるであろう 」．
- イエス はこう 言って， 自分がどんな 死に 方で 死のうとしていたかを， お 示しになったのである．
- すると 群衆は イエス にむかって 言った， 「わたしたちは 律法によって， キリスト はいつまでも 生きておいでになるのだ， と 聞いていました． それだのに， どうして 人の 子は 上げられねばならないと， 言われるのですか． その 人の 子とは， だれのことですか 」．

- Jesus answered and said, "This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.
- "Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
- "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."
- But He was saying this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.
- The crowd then answered Him, "We have heard out of the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man?"

- そこで イエス は 彼らに 言われた， 「もうしばらくの 間， 光はあなたがたと 一緖にここにある． 光がある 間に 步いて， やみに 追いつかれないようにしなさい． やみの 中を 步く 者は， 自分がどこへ 行くのかわかっていない．
- 光のある 間に， 光の 子となるために， 光を 信じなさい 」． イエス はこれらのことを 話してから， そこを 立ち 去って， 彼らから 身をお 隱しになった．
- このように 多くのしるしを 彼らの 前でなさったが， 彼らは イエス を 信じなかった．
- それは， 預言者 イザヤ の 次の 言葉が 成就するためである， 「主よ， わたしたちの 說くところを， だれが 信じたでしょうか． また， 主のみ 腕はだれに 示されたでしょうか 」．
- こういうわけで， 彼らは 信じることができなかった． イザヤ はまた， こうも 言った，

- So Jesus said to them, "For a little while longer the Light is among you Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.
- "While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light " These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them.
- But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him.
- This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke: "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?"
- For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again,

- 「神は 彼らの 目をくらまし， 心をかたくなになさった． それは， 彼らが 目で 見ず， 心で 悟らず， 悔い 改めていやされることがないためである 」．
- イザヤ がこう 言ったのは， イエス の 榮光を 見たからであって， イエス のことを 語ったのである．
- しかし， 役人たちの 中にも， イエス を 信じた 者が 多かったが， パリサイ 人をはばかって， 告白はしなかった． 會堂から 追い 出されるのを 恐れていたのである．
- 彼らは 神のほまれよりも， 人のほまれを 好んだからである．
- イエス は 大聲で 言われた， 「わたしを 信じる 者は， わたしを 信じるのではなく， わたしをつかわされたかたを 信じるのであり，

- "HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM."
- These things Isaiah said because he saw His glory, and he spoke of Him.
- Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue;
- for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God.
- And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me.

- また， わたしを 見る 者は， わたしをつかわされたかたを 見るのである．
- わたしは 光としてこの 世にきた． それは， わたしを 信じる 者が， やみのうちにとどまらないようになるためである．
- たとい， わたしの 言うことを 聞いてそれを 守らない 人があっても， わたしはその 人をさばかない． わたしがきたのは， この 世をさばくためではなく， この 世を 救うためである．
- わたしを 捨てて， わたしの 言葉を 受けいれない 人には， その 人をさばくものがある． わたしの 語ったその 言葉が， 終りの 日にその 人をさばくであろう．
- わたしは 自分から 語ったのではなく， わたしをつかわされた 父ご 自身が， わたしの 言うべきこと， 語るべきことをお 命じになったのである．

- "He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me.
- "I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.
- "If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
- "He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.
- "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.

- わたしは， この 命令が 永遠の 命であることを 知っている． それゆえに， わたしが 語っていることは， わたしの 父がわたしに 仰せになったことを， そのまま 語っているのである 」．
|
- "I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me."
