- 兄弟たちよ． わたしの 心の 願い， 彼らのために 神にささげる 祈は， 彼らが 救われることである．
- わたしは， 彼らが 神に 對して 熱心であることはあかしするが， その 熱心は 深い 知識によるものではない．
- なぜなら， 彼らは 神の 義を 知らないで， 自分の 義を 立てようと 努め， 神の 義に 從わなかったからである．
- キリスト は， すべて 信じる 者に 義を 得させるために， 律法の 終りとなられたのである．
- モ ― セ は， 律法による 義を 行う 人は， その 義によって 生きる， と 書いている．

- Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation.
- For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.
- For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
- For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
- For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness.

- しかし， 信仰による 義は， こう 言っている， 「あなたは 心のうちで， だれが 天に 上るであろうかと 言うな 」． それは， キリスト を 引き 降ろすことである．
- また， 「だれが 底知れぬ 所に 下るであろうかと 言うな 」． それは， キリスト を 死人の 中から 引き 上げることである．
- では， なんと 言っているか． 「言葉はあなたの 近くにある． あなたの 口にあり， 心にある 」． この 言葉とは， わたしたちが 宣べ 傳えている 信仰の 言葉である．
- すなわち， 自分の 口で， イエス は 主であると 告白し， 自分の 心で， 神が 死人の 中から イエス をよみがえらせたと 信じるなら， あなたは 救われる．
- なぜなら， 人は 心に 信じて 義とされ， 口で 告白して 救われるからである．

- But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: "DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, 'WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?' (that is, to bring Christ down),
- or 'WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)."
- But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
- that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
- for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

- 聖書は， 「すべて 彼を 信じる 者は， 失望に 終ることがない 」と 言っている．
- ユダヤ 人と ギリシヤ 人との 差別はない． 同一の 主が 万民の 主であって， 彼を 呼び 求めるすべての 人を 豊かに 惠んで 下さるからである．
- なぜなら， 「主の 御名を 呼び 求める 者は， すべて 救われる 」とあるからである．
- しかし， 信じたことのない 者を， どうして 呼び 求めることがあろうか． 聞いたことのない 者を， どうして 信じることがあろうか． 宣べ 傳える 者がいなくては， どうして 聞くことがあろうか．
- つかわされなくては， どうして 宣べ 傳えることがあろうか． 「ああ， 麗しいかな， 良きおとずれを 告げる 者の 足は 」と 書いてあるとおりである．

- For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."
- For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;
- for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
- How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
- How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!"
