욥기 16:1-19:29

 욥은 친구들을 ‘번뇌케 하는 위로자’라고 고백하였으며, 하나님께 눈물의 기도를 드리면서 자신의 결백함을 보증해 줄 보증물을 달라고 요청하였다. 빌닷은 친구들을 원망하는 욥을 책망하며 욥을 악인에 비유하여 그에게 닥칠 외적인 재앙을 장황하게 묘사하였다. 그러자 욥은 자신에게 닥친 고난은 하나님의 주권적 의사로 말미암았으며, 이제 근거 없는 비방은 그만 두고 긍휼한 마음을 가져 줄 것과 끝까지 비방하면 하나님의 심판을 피하지 못할 것이라고 하였다. 그리고 죽은 후에 하나님 보기를 사모하였다.
  
  욥의 변증(16:1-17:16)    
 
  1. そこで ヨブ は 答えて 言った，
  2. 「わたしはこのような 事を 數多く 聞いた． あなたがたは 皆人を 慰めようとして， ／かえって 人を 煩わす 者だ．
  3. むなしき 言葉に， はてしがあろうか． あなたは 何に 激して 答をするのか．
  4. わたしもあなたがたのように 語ることができる． もしあなたがたがわたしと 代ったならば， ／わたしは 言葉を 練って， あなたがたを 攻め， ／あなたがたに 向かって 頭を 振ることができる．
  5. また 口をもって， あなたがたを 强くし， ／くちびるの 慰めをもって， あなたがたの 苦しみを ／和らげることができる．
  1. Then Job answered,
  2. "I have heard many such things; Sorry comforters are you all.
  3. "Is there no limit to windy words? Or what plagues you that you answer?
  4. "I too could speak like you, If I were in your place. I could compose words against you And shake my head at you.
  5. "I could strengthen you with my mouth, And the solace of my lips could lessen your pain.
  1. たといわたしは 語っても， ／わたしの 苦しみは 和らげられない． たといわたしは 忍んでも， ／どれほどそれがわたしを 去るであろうか．
  2. まことに 神は 今わたしを 疲れさせた． 彼はわたしのやからをことごとく 荒した．
  3. 彼はわたしを， しわ 寄らせた． これがわたしに 對する 證據である． またわたしのやせ 衰えた 姿が 立って， わたしを 攻め， ／わたしの 顔にむかって 證明する．
  4. 彼は 怒ってわたしをかき 裂き， わたしを 憎み， ／わたしに 向かって 齒をかみ 鳴らした． わたしの 敵は 目を 銳くして， わたしを 攻める．
  5. 人¿はわたしに 向かって 口を 張り， ／侮ってわたしのほおを 打ち， ／ともに 集まってわたしを 攻める．
  1. "If I speak, my pain is not lessened, And if I hold back, what has left me?
  2. "But now He has exhausted me; You have laid waste all my company.
  3. "You have shriveled me up, It has become a witness; And my leanness rises up against me, It testifies to my face.
  4. "His anger has torn me and hunted me down, He has gnashed at me with His teeth; My adversary glares at me.
  5. "They have gaped at me with their mouth, They have slapped me on the cheek with contempt; They have massed themselves against me.
  1. 神はわたしをよこしまな 者に 渡し， ／惡人の 手に 投げいれられる．
  2. わたしは 安らかであったのに， ／彼はわたしを 切り 裂き， ／首を 捕えて， わたしを 打ち ¿き， ／わたしを 立てて 的とされた．
  3. その 射手はわたしを 圍む． 彼は 無慈悲にもわたしの 腰を 射通し， ／わたしの 肝を 地に 流れ 出させられる．
  4. 彼はわたしを 打ち 破って， 破れに 破れを 加え， ／勇士のようにわたしに， はせかかられる．
  5. わたしは 荒布を 膚に 縫いつけ， ／わたしの 角をちりに 伏せた．
  1. "God hands me over to ruffians And tosses me into the hands of the wicked.
  2. "I was at ease, but He shattered me, And He has grasped me by the neck and shaken me to pieces; He has also set me up as His target.
  3. "His arrows surround me Without mercy He splits my kidneys open; He pours out my gall on the ground.
  4. "He breaks through me with breach after breach; He runs at me like a warrior.
  5. "I have sewed sackcloth over my skin And thrust my horn in the dust.
  1. わたしの 顔は 泣いて 赤くなり， ／わたしのまぶたには 深いやみがある．
  2. しかし， わたしの 手には 暴虐がなく， ／わたしの 祈は 淸い．
  3. 地よ， わたしの 血をおおってくれるな． わたしの 叫びに， 休む 所を 得させるな．
  4. 見よ， 今でもわたしの 證人は 天にある． わたしのために 保證してくれる 者は 高い 所にある．
  5. わたしの 友はわたしをあざける， ／しかしわたしの 目は 神に 向かって 淚を 注ぐ．
  1. "My face is flushed from weeping, And deep darkness is on my eyelids,
  2. Although there is no violence in my hands, And my prayer is pure.
  3. "O earth, do not cover my blood, And let there be no resting place for my cry.
  4. "Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven, And my advocate is on high.
  5. "My friends are my scoffers; My eye weeps to God.
  1. どうか 彼が 人のために 神と 弁論し， ／人とその 友との 間をさばいてくれるように．
  2. 數年過ぎ 去れば， ／わたしは 歸らぬ 旅路に 行くであろう．
  1. "O that a man might plead with God As a man with his neighbor!
  2. "For when a few years are past, I shall go the way of no return.
 
 
  1. わが 靈は 破れ， わが 日は 盡き， ／墓はわたしを 待っている．
  2. まことにあざける 者どもはわたしのまわりにあり， ／わが 目は 常に 彼らの 侮りを 見る．
  3. どうか， あなた 自ら 保證となられるように． ほかにだれがわたしのために ／保證となってくれる 者があろうか．
  4. あなたは 彼らの 心を 閉じて， ／悟ることのないようにされた． それゆえ， 彼らに 勝利を 得させられるはずはない．
  5. 分け 前を 得るために 友を 訴えるものは， ／その 子らの 目がつぶれるであろう．
  1. "My spirit is broken, my days are extinguished, The grave is ready for me.
  2. "Surely mockers are with me, And my eye gazes on their provocation.
  3. "Lay down, now, a pledge for me with Yourself; Who is there that will be my guarantor?
  4. "For You have kept their heart from understanding, Therefore You will not exalt them.
  5. "He who informs against friends for a share of the spoil, The eyes of his children also will languish.
  1. 彼はわたしを 民の 笑い 草とされた． わたしは 顔につばきされる 者となる．
  2. わが 目は 憂いによってかすみ， ／わがからだはすべて 影のようだ．
  3. 正しい 者はこれに 驚き， ／罪なき 者は 神を 信ぜぬ 者に 對して 憤る．
  4. それでもなお 正しい 者はその 道を 堅く 保ち， ／潔い 手をもつ 者はますます 力を 得る．
  5. しかし， あなたがたは 皆再び 來るがよい， ／わたしはあなたがたのうちに 賢い 者を 見ないのだ．
  1. "But He has made me a byword of the people, And I am one at whom men spit.
  2. "My eye has also grown dim because of grief, And all my members are as a shadow.
  3. "The upright will be appalled at this, And the innocent will stir up himself against the godless.
  4. "Nevertheless the righteous will hold to his way, And he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.
  5. "But come again all of you now, For I do not find a wise man among you.
  1. わが 日は 過ぎ 去り， わが 計りごとは 敗れ， ／わが 心の 願いも 敗れた．
  2. 彼らは 夜を ¿に 變える． 彼らは 言う， 『光が 暗やみに 近づいている 』と．
  3. わたしがもし 陰府をわたしの 家として 望み， ／暗やみに 寢床をのべ，
  4. 穴に 向かって『あなたはわたしの 父である 』と 言い， ／うじに 向かって『あなたはわたしの 母， ／わたしの 姉妹である 』と 言うならば，
  5. わたしの 望みはどこにあるか， ／だれがわたしの 望みを 見ることができようか．
  1. "My days are past, my plans are torn apart, Even the wishes of my heart.
  2. "They make night into day, saying, 'The light is near,' in the presence of darkness.
  3. "If I look for Sheol as my home, I make my bed in the darkness;
  4. If I call to the pit, 'You are my father'; To the worm, 'my mother and my sister';
  5. Where now is my hope? And who regards my hope?
  1. これは 下って 陰府の 關門にいたり， ／われわれは 共にちりに 下るであろうか 」．
  1. "Will it go down with me to Sheol? Shall we together go down into the dust?"
 
  빌닷의 두번째 충고(18:1-18:21)    
 
  1. そこで シュヒ びと ビルダデ は 答えて 言った，
  2. 「あなたはいつまで 言葉にわなを 設けるのか． あなたはまず 悟るがよい， ／それからわれわれは 論じよう．
  3. なぜ， われわれは ¿のように 思われるのか． なぜ， あなたの 目に 愚かな 者と 見えるのか．
  4. 怒っておのが 身を 裂く 者よ， ／あなたのために 地は 捨てられるだろうか． 岩はその 所から 移されるだろうか．
  5. 惡しき 者の 光は 消え， ／その 火の 炎は 光を 放たず，
  1. Then Bildad the Shuhite responded,
  2. "How long will you hunt for words? Show understanding and then we can talk.
  3. "Why are we regarded as beasts, As stupid in your eyes?
  4. "O you who tear yourself in your anger-- For your sake is the earth to be abandoned, Or the rock to be moved from its place?
  5. "Indeed, the light of the wicked goes out, And the flame of his fire gives no light.
  1. その 天幕のうちの 光は 暗く， ／彼の 上のともしびは 消える．
  2. その 力ある 步みはせばめられ， ／その 計りごとは 彼を 倒す．
  3. 彼は 自分の 足で 網にかかり， ／また 落し 穴の 上を 步む．
  4. わなは 彼のかかとを 捕え， ／網わなは 彼を 捕える．
  5. 輪なわは 彼を 捕えるために 地に 隱され， ／張り 網は 彼を 捕えるために 道に 設けられる．
  1. "The light in his tent is darkened, And his lamp goes out above him.
  2. "His vigorous stride is shortened, And his own scheme brings him down.
  3. "For he is thrown into the net by his own feet, And he steps on the webbing.
  4. "A snare seizes him by the heel, And a trap snaps shut on him.
  5. "A noose for him is hidden in the ground, And a trap for him on the path.
  1. 恐ろしい 事が 四方にあって 彼を 恐れさせ， ／その 步みにしたがって 彼を 追う．
  2. その 力は 飢え， ／災は 彼をつまずかすために 備わっている．
  3. その 皮膚は 病によって 食いつくされ， ／死のういごは 彼の 手足を 食いつくす．
  4. 彼はその 賴む 所の 天幕から 引き 離されて， ／恐れの 王のもとに 追いやられる．
  5. 彼に 屬さない 者が 彼の 天幕に 住み， ／硫黃が 彼のすまいの 上にまき 散らされる．
  1. "All around terrors frighten him, And harry him at every step.
  2. "His strength is famished, And calamity is ready at his side.
  3. "His skin is devoured by disease, The firstborn of death devours his limbs.
  4. "He is torn from the security of his tent, And they march him before the king of terrors.
  5. "There dwells in his tent nothing of his; Brimstone is scattered on his habitation.
  1. 下ではその 根が 枯れ， ／上ではその 枝が 切られる．
  2. 彼の 形見は 地から 滅び， ／彼の 名はちまたに 消える．
  3. 彼は 光からやみに 追いやられ， ／世の 中から 追い 出される．
  4. 彼はその 民の 中に 子もなく， 孫もなく， ／彼のすみかには， ひとりも 生き 殘る 者はない．
  5. 西の 者は 彼の 日について 驚き， ／東の 者はおじ 恐れる．
  1. "His roots are dried below, And his branch is cut off above.
  2. "Memory of him perishes from the earth, And he has no name abroad.
  3. "He is driven from light into darkness, And chased from the inhabited world.
  4. "He has no offspring or posterity among his people, Nor any survivor where he sojourned.
  5. "Those in the west are appalled at his fate, And those in the east are seized with horror.
  1. まことに， 惡しき 者のすまいはこのようであり， ／神を 知らない 者の 所はこのようである 」．
  1. "Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, And this is the place of him who does not know God."
 
  욥의 답변(19:1-19:29)    
 
  1. そこで ヨブ は 答えて 言った，
  2. 「あなたがたはいつまでわたしを 惱まし， ／言葉をもってわたしを 打ち ¿くのか．
  3. あなたがたはすでに 十度もわたしをはずかしめ， ／わたしを 惡くあしらってもなお 恥じないのか．
  4. たといわたしが， まことにあやまったとしても， ／そのあやまちは， わたし 自身にとどまる．
  5. もしあなたがたが， ／まことにわたしに 向かって 高ぶり， ／わたしの 恥を 論じるならば，
  1. Then Job responded,
  2. "How long will you torment me And crush me with words?
  3. "These ten times you have insulted me; You are not ashamed to wrong me.
  4. "Even if I have truly erred, My error lodges with me.
  5. "If indeed you vaunt yourselves against me And prove my disgrace to me,
  1. 『神がわたしをしえたげ， ／その 網でわたしを 圍まれたのだ 』と 知るべきだ．
  2. 見よ， わたしが『暴虐 』と 叫んでも 答えられず， ／助けを 呼び 求めても， さばきはない．
  3. 彼はわたしの 道にかきをめぐらして， ／越えることのできないようにし， ／わたしの 行く 道に 暗やみを 置かれた．
  4. 彼はわたしの 榮えをわたしからはぎ 取り， ／わたしのこうべから 冠を 奪い，
  5. 四方からわたしを 取りこわして， うせさせ， ／わたしの 望みを 木のように 拔き 去り，
  1. Know then that God has wronged me And has closed His net around me.
  2. "Behold, I cry, 'Violence!' but I get no answer; I shout for help, but there is no justice.
  3. "He has walled up my way so that I cannot pass, And He has put darkness on my paths.
  4. "He has stripped my honor from me And removed the crown from my head.
  5. "He breaks me down on every side, and I am gone; And He has uprooted my hope like a tree.
  1. わたしに 向かって 怒りを 燃やし， ／わたしを 敵のひとりのように 思われた．
  2. その 軍勢がいっせいに 來て， ／壘を 築いて 攻め 寄せ， ／わたしの 天幕のまわりに 陣を 張った．
  3. 彼はわたしの 兄弟たちを ／わたしから 遠く 離れさせられた． わたしを 知る 人¿は 全くわたしに 疎遠になった．
  4. わたしの 親類および 親しい 友はわたしを 見捨て，
  5. わたしの 家に 宿る 者はわたしを 忘れ， ／わたしのはしためらはわたしを 他人のように 思い， ／わたしは 彼らの 目に 他國人となった．
  1. "He has also kindled His anger against me And considered me as His enemy.
  2. "His troops come together, And build up their way against me And camp around my tent.
  3. "He has removed my brothers far from me, And my acquaintances are completely estranged from me.
  4. "My relatives have failed, And my intimate friends have forgotten me.
  5. "Those who live in my house and my maids consider me a stranger. I am a foreigner in their sight.
  1. わたしがしもべを 呼んでも， 彼は 答えず， ／わたしは 口をもって 彼に 請わなければならない．
  2. わたしの 息はわが 妻にいとわれ， ／わたしは 同じ 腹の 子たちにきらわれる．
  3. わらべたちさえもわたしを 侮り， ／わたしが 起き 上がれば， わたしをあざける．
  4. 親しい 人¿は 皆わたしをいみきらい， ／わたしの 愛した 人¿はわたしにそむいた．
  5. わたしの 骨は 皮と 肉につき， ／わたしはわずかに 齒の 皮をもってのがれた．
  1. "I call to my servant, but he does not answer; I have to implore him with my mouth.
  2. "My breath is offensive to my wife, And I am loathsome to my own brothers.
  3. "Even young children despise me; I rise up and they speak against me.
  4. "All my associates abhor me, And those I love have turned against me.
  5. "My bone clings to my skin and my flesh, And I have escaped only by the skin of my teeth.
  1. わが 友よ， わたしをあわれめ， わたしをあわれめ， ／神のみ 手がわたしを 打ったからである．
  2. あなたがたは， なにゆえ 神のようにわたしを 責め， ／わたしの 肉をもって 滿足しないのか．
  3. どうか， わたしの 言葉が， 書きとめられるように． どうか， わたしの 言葉が， 書物にしるされるように．
  4. 鐵の 筆と 鉛とをもって， ／ながく 岩に 刻みつけられるように．
  5. わたしは 知る， ／わたしをあがなう 者は 生きておられる， ／後の 日に 彼は 必ず 地の 上に 立たれる．
  1. "Pity me, pity me, O you my friends, For the hand of God has struck me.
  2. "Why do you persecute me as God does, And are not satisfied with my flesh?
  3. "Oh that my words were written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book!
  4. "That with an iron stylus and lead They were engraved in the rock forever!
  5. "As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth.
  1. わたしの 皮がこのように 滅ぼされたのち， ／わたしは 肉を 離れて 神を 見るであろう．
  2. しかもわたしの 味方として 見るであろう． わたしの 見る 者はこれ 以外のものではない． わたしの 心はこれを 望んでこがれる．
  3. あなたがたがもし『われわれはどうして ／彼を 責めようか 』と 言い， ／また『事の 根源は 彼のうちに 見いだされる 』／と 言うならば，
  4. つるぎを 恐れよ， ／怒りはつるぎの 罰をきたらすからだ． これによって， あなたがたは， ／さばきのあることを 知るであろう 」．
  1. "Even after my skin is destroyed, Yet from my flesh I shall see God;
  2. Whom I myself shall behold, And whom my eyes will see and not another. My heart faints within me!
  3. "If you say, 'How shall we persecute him?' And 'What pretext for a case against him can we find?'
  4. "Then be afraid of the sword for yourselves, For wrath brings the punishment of the sword, So that you may know there is judgment."
