- そこで， あなたがたに， キリスト による 勸め， 愛の 勵まし， 御靈の 交わり， 熱愛とあわれみとが， いくらかでもあるなら，
- どうか 同じ 思いとなり， 同じ 愛の 心を 持ち， 心を 合わせ， 一つ 思いになって， わたしの 喜びを 滿たしてほしい．
- 何事も 黨派心や 虛榮からするのでなく， へりくだった 心をもって 互に 人を 自分よりすぐれた 者としなさい．
- おのおの， 自分のことばかりでなく， 他人のことも 考えなさい．
- キリスト · イエス にあっていだいているのと 同じ 思いを， あなたがたの 間でも 互に 生かしなさい．

- Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,
- make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.
- Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;
- do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
- Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,

- キリスト は， 神のかたちであられたが， 神と 等しくあることを 固守すべき 事とは 思わず，
- かえって， おのれをむなしうして 僕のかたちをとり， 人間の 姿になられた． その 有樣は 人と 異ならず，
- おのれを 低くして， 死に 至るまで， しかも 十字架の 死に 至るまで 從順であられた．
- それゆえに， 神は 彼を 高く 引き 上げ， すべての 名にまさる 名を 彼に 賜わった．
- それは， イエス の 御名によって， 天上のもの， 地上のもの， 地下のものなど， あらゆるものがひざをかがめ，

- who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
- but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
- Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
- For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
- so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

- また， あらゆる 舌が， 「イエス · キリスト は 主である 」と 告白して， 榮光を 父なる 神に 歸するためである．
- わたしの 愛する 者たちよ． そういうわけだから， あなたがたがいつも 從順であったように， わたしが 一緖にいる 時だけでなく， いない 今は， いっそう 從順でいて， 恐れおののいて 自分の 救の 達成に 努めなさい．
- あなたがたのうちに ¿きかけて， その 願いを 起させ， かつ 實現に 至らせるのは 神であって， それは 神のよしとされるところだからである．
- すべてのことを， つぶやかず 疑わないでしなさい．
- それは， あなたがたが 責められるところのない 純眞な 者となり， 曲った 邪惡な 時代のただ 中にあって， 傷のない 神の 子となるためである． あなたがたは， いのちの 言葉を 堅く 持って， 彼らの 間で 星のようにこの 世に 輝いている．

- and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
- So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling;
- for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
- Do all things without grumbling or disputing;
- so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,

- このようにして， キリスト の 日に， わたしは 自分の 走ったことがむだでなく， 勞したこともむだではなかったと 誇ることができる．
- そして， たとい， あなたがたの 信仰の 供え 物をささげる 祭壇に， わたしの 血をそそぐことがあっても， わたしは 喜ぼう． あなたがた 一同と 共に 喜ぼう．
- 同じように， あなたがたも 喜びなさい． わたしと 共に 喜びなさい．

- holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.
- But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
- You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.
