- 知惠は 寶石にまさり， あなたがたの 望むすべての 物は， これと 比べるにたりない．
- 知惠であるわたしは 悟りをすみかとし， 知識と 愼みとをもつ．
- 主を 恐れるとは 惡を 憎むことである． わたしは 高ぶりと， おごりと， 惡しき 道と， 僞りの 言葉とを 憎む．
- 計りごとと， 確かな 知惠とは， わたしにある， わたしには 悟りがあり， わたしには 力がある．
- わたしによって， 王たる 者は 世を 治め， 君たる 者は 正しい 定めを 立てる．

- "For wisdom is better than jewels; And all desirable things cannot compare with her.
- "I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And I find knowledge and discretion.
- "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverted mouth, I hate.
- "Counsel is mine and sound wisdom; I am understanding, power is mine.
- "By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.

- わたしによって， 主たる 者は 支配し， つかさたる 者は 地を 治める．
- わたしは， わたしを 愛する 者を 愛する， わたしをせつに 求める 者は， わたしに 出會う．
- 富と 譽とはわたしにあり， すぐれた 寶と 繁榮もまたそうである．
- わたしの 實は 金よりも 精金よりも 良く， わたしの 産物は 精銀にまさる．
- わたしは 正義の 道， 公正な 道筋の 中を 步み，
