- 惡人は 善人の 前にひれ 伏し， 惡しき 者は 正しい 者の 門にひれ 伏す．
- 貧しい 者はその 隣にさえも 憎まれる， しかし 富める 者は 多くの 友をもつ．

- A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, But a fool is arrogant and careless.
- A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, And a man of evil devices is hated.
- The naive inherit foolishness, But the sensible are crowned with knowledge.
- The evil will bow down before the good, And the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
- The poor is hated even by his neighbor, But those who love the rich are many.

- 隣り 人を 卑しめる 者は 罪びとである， 貧しい 人をあわれむ 者はさいわいである．
- 惡を 計る 者はおのれを 誤るではないか， 善を 計る 者にはいつくしみと， まこととがある．
- すべての 勤勞には 利益がある， しかし 口先だけの 言葉は 貧乏をきたらせるだけだ．
- 知惠ある 者の 冠はその 知惠である， 愚かな 者の 花の 冠はただ 愚かさである．
- まことの 證人は 人の 命を 救う， 僞りを 吐く 者は 裏切者である．
