- あわれみと 平安と 愛とが， あなたがたに 豊かに 加わるように．
- 愛する 者たちよ． わたしたちが 共にあずかっている 救について， あなたがたに 書きおくりたいと 心から 願っていたので， 聖徒たちによって， ひとたび 傳えられた 信仰のために 戰うことを 勸めるように， 手紙をおくる 必要を 感じるに 至った．

- These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.
- But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
- that they were saying to you, "In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts."
- These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

- 神の 愛の 中に 自らを 保ち， 永遠のいのちを 目あてとして， わたしたちの 主 イエス · キリスト のあわれみを 待ち 望みなさい．
- 疑いをいだく 人¿があれば， 彼らをあわれみ，
- 火の 中から 引き 出して 救ってやりなさい． また， そのほかの 人たちを， おそれの 心をもってあわれみなさい． しかし， 肉に 汚れた 者に 對しては， その 下着さえも 忌みきらいなさい．
- あなたがたを 守ってつまずかない 者とし， また， その 榮光のまえに 傷なき 者として， 喜びのうちに 立たせて 下さるかた，
- すなわち， わたしたちの 救主なる 唯一の 神に， 榮光， 大能， 力， 權威が， わたしたちの 主 イエス · キリスト によって， 世¿の 初めにも， 今も， また， 世¿限りなく， あるように， アァメン ．
