- 人を 片寄り 見ることは 良くない， 人は 一切れの パン のために， とがを 犯すことがある．
- 欲の 深い 人は 急いで 富を 得ようとする， かえって 欠乏が 自分の 所に 來ることを 知らない．
- 人を 戒める 者は 舌をもってへつらう 者よりも， 大いなる 感謝をうける．
- 父や 母の 物を 盜んで「これは 罪ではない 」と 言う 者は， 滅ぼす 者の 友である．

- A faithful man will abound with blessings, But he who makes haste to be rich will not go unpunished.
- To show partiality is not good, Because for a piece of bread a man will transgress.
- A man with an evil eye hastens after wealth And does not know that want will come upon him.
- He who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor Than he who flatters with the tongue.
- He who robs his father or his mother And says, "It is not a transgression," Is the companion of a man who destroys.

- 惡しき 者が 起るときは， 民は 身をかくす， その 滅びるときは， 正しい 人が 增す．
