- さて， イエス は 聖靈に 滿ちて， ヨルダン 川からお 歸りになった． そして， 荒れ 野の 中を “靈 ＂によって 引き 回され，
- 四十日間， 惡魔から 誘惑を 受けられた． その 間， 何も 食べず， その 期間が 終わると 空腹を 覺えられた．
- そこで， 惡魔は イエス に 言った． 「神の 子なら， この 石に パン になるように 命じたらどうだ． 」
- イエス は， 「『人は パン だけで 生きるものではない 』と 書いてある 」とお 答えになった．
- 更に， 惡魔は イエス を 高く 引き 上げ， 一瞬のうちに 世界のすべての 國¿を 見せた．

- Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert,
- where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
- The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread."
- Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone.'"
- The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.

- そして 惡魔は 言った． 「この 國¿の 一切の 權力と 繁榮とを 與えよう． それはわたしに 任されていて， これと 思う 人に 與えることができるからだ．
- だから， もしわたしを 拜むなら， みんなあなたのものになる． 」
- イエス はお 答えになった． 「『あなたの 神である 主を 拜み， ／ただ 主に 仕えよ 』／と 書いてある． 」
- そこで， 惡魔は イエス を エルサレム に 連れて 行き， 神殿の 屋根の 端に 立たせて 言った． 「神の 子なら， ここから 飛び 降りたらどうだ．
- というのは， こう 書いてあるからだ． 『神はあなたのために 天使たちに 命じて， ／あなたをしっかり 守らせる． 』

- And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.
- So if you worship me, it will all be yours."
- Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'"
- The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down from here.
- For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully;

- また， ／『あなたの 足が 石に 打ち 當たることのないように， ／天使たちは 手であなたを 支える． 』」
- イエス は， 「『あなたの 神である 主を 試してはならない 』と 言われている 」とお 答えになった．
- 惡魔はあらゆる 誘惑を 終えて， 時が 來るまで イエス を 離れた．
- イエス は “靈 ＂の 力に 滿ちて ガリラヤ に 歸られた． その 評判が 周りの 地方一帶に 廣まった．
- イエス は 諸會堂で 敎え， 皆から 尊敬を 受けられた．

- they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'"
- Jesus answered, "It says: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"
- When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.
- Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.
- He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.

- イエス はお 育ちになった ナザレ に 來て， いつものとおり 安息日に 會堂に 入り， 聖書を 朗讀しようとしてお 立ちになった．
- 預言者 イザヤ の 卷物が 渡され， お 開きになると， 次のように 書いてある 個所が 目に 留まった．
- 「主の 靈がわたしの 上におられる． 貧しい 人に 福音を 告げ 知らせるために， ／主がわたしに 油を 注がれたからである． 主がわたしを 遣わされたのは， ／捕らわれている 人に 解放を， ／目の 見えない 人に 視力の 回復を 告げ， ／壓迫されている 人を 自由にし，
- 主の 惠みの 年を 告げるためである． 」
- イエス は 卷物を 卷き， 係の 者に 返して 席に 座られた． 會堂にいるすべての 人の 目が イエス に 注がれていた．

- He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read.
- The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
- "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,
- to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
- Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him,

- そこで イエス は， 「この 聖書の 言葉は， 今日， あなたがたが 耳にしたとき， 實現した 」と 話し 始められた．
- 皆は イエス をほめ， その 口から 出る 惠み 深い 言葉に 驚いて 言った． 「この 人は ヨセフ の 子ではないか． 」
- イエス は 言われた． 「きっと， あなたがたは， 『醫者よ， 自分自身を 治せ 』ということわざを 引いて， 『カファルナウム でいろいろなことをしたと 聞いたが， 鄕里のここでもしてくれ 』と 言うにちがいない． 」
- そして， 言われた． 「はっきり 言っておく． 預言者は， 自分の 故鄕では 歡迎されないものだ．
- 確かに 言っておく． エリヤ の 時代に 三年六か 月の 間， 雨が 降らず， その 地方一帶に 大飢鴨が 起こったとき， イスラエル には 多くのやもめがいたが，

- and he began by saying to them, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."
- All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. "Isn't this Joseph's son?" they asked.
- Jesus said to them, "Surely you will quote this proverb to me: 'Physician, heal yourself! Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.' "
- "I tell you the truth," he continued, "no prophet is accepted in his hometown.
- I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah's time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land.

- エリヤ はその 中のだれのもとにも 遣わされないで， シドン 地方の サレプタ のやもめのもとにだけ 遣わされた．
- また， 預言者 エリシャ の 時代に， イスラエル にはらい 病を 患っている 人が 多くいたが， シリア 人 ナアマン のほかはだれも 淸くされなかった． 」
- これを 聞いた 會堂內の 人¿は 皆憤慨し，
- 總立ちになって， イエス を 町の 外へ 追い 出し， 町が 建っている 山の 崖まで 連れて 行き， 突き 落とそうとした．
- しかし， イエス は 人¿の 間を 通り 拔けて 立ち 去られた．

- Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon.
- And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed--only Naaman the Syrian."
- All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this.
- They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff.
- But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.

- イエス は ガリラヤ の 町 カファルナウム に 下って， 安息日には 人¿を 敎えておられた．
- 人¿はその 敎えに 非常に 驚いた． その 言葉には 權威があったからである．

- Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath began to teach the people.
- They were amazed at his teaching, because his message had authority.
