- 「はっきり 言っておく． 羊の 圍いに 入るのに， 門を 通らないでほかの 所を 乘り 越えて 來る 者は， 盜人であり， 强盜である．
- 門から 入る 者が 羊飼いである．
- 門番は 羊飼いには 門を 開き， 羊はその 聲を 聞き 分ける． 羊飼いは 自分の 羊の 名を 呼んで 連れ 出す．
- 自分の 羊をすべて 連れ 出すと， 先頭に 立って 行く． 羊はその 聲を 知っているので， ついて 行く．
- しかし， ほかの 者には 決してついて 行かず， 逃げ 去る． ほかの 者たちの 聲を 知らないからである． 」

- "I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.
- The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep.
- The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
- When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.
- But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."

- イエス は， このたとえを ファリサイ 派の 人¿に 話されたが， 彼らはその 話が 何のことか 分からなかった．
- イエス はまた 言われた． 「はっきり 言っておく． わたしは 羊の 門である．
- わたしより 前に 來た 者は 皆， 盜人であり， 强盜である． しかし， 羊は 彼らの 言うことを 聞かなかった．
- わたしは 門である． わたしを 通って 入る 者は 救われる． その 人は， 門を 出入りして 牧草を 見つける．
- 盜人が 來るのは， 盜んだり， 屠ったり， 滅ぼしたりするためにほかならない． わたしが 來たのは， 羊が 命を 受けるため， しかも 豊かに 受けるためである．

- Jesus used this figure of speech, but they did not understand what he was telling them.
- Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.
- All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
- I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

- わたしは 良い 羊飼いである． 良い 羊飼いは 羊のために 命を 捨てる．
- 羊飼いでなく， 自分の 羊を 持たない 雇い 人は， 狼が 來るのを 見ると， 羊を 置き 去りにして 逃げる． ――狼は 羊を 奪い， また 追い 散らす． ――
- 彼は 雇い 人で， 羊のことを 心にかけていないからである．
- わたしは 良い 羊飼いである． わたしは 自分の 羊を 知っており， 羊もわたしを 知っている．
- それは， 父がわたしを 知っておられ， わたしが 父を 知っているのと 同じである． わたしは 羊のために 命を 捨てる．

- "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
- The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.
- The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
- "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me--
- just as the Father knows me and I know the Father--and I lay down my life for the sheep.

- わたしには， この 圍いに 入っていないほかの 羊もいる． その 羊をも 導かなければならない． その 羊もわたしの 聲を 聞き 分ける． こうして， 羊は 一人の 羊飼いに 導かれ， 一つの 群れになる．
- わたしは 命を， 再び 受けるために， 捨てる． それゆえ， 父はわたしを 愛してくださる．
- だれもわたしから 命を 奪い 取ることはできない． わたしは 自分でそれを 捨てる． わたしは 命を 捨てることもでき， それを 再び 受けることもできる． これは， わたしが 父から 受けた ¿である． 」
- この 話をめぐって， ユダヤ 人たちの 間にまた 對立が 生じた．
- 多くの ユダヤ 人は 言った． 「彼は 惡靈に 取りつかれて， 氣が 變になっている． なぜ， あなたたちは 彼の 言うことに 耳を 貸すのか． 」

- I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.
- The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life--only to take it up again.
- No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."
- At these words the Jews were again divided.
- Many of them said, "He is demon-possessed and raving mad. Why listen to him?"

- ほかの 者たちは 言った． 「惡靈に 取りつかれた 者は， こういうことは 言えない． 惡靈に 盲人の 目が 開けられようか． 」
|
- But others said, "These are not the sayings of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?"
