사무엘상 29:1-31:13

 블레셋과 이스라엘의 전쟁에 참여한 다윗은 동족과 싸워야 할 위기에 처했으나, 블레셋 방백들의 견제로 그 위기를 모면했다. 아말렉이 시글락을 약탈하자 다윗은 그 뒤를 추격하여 탈취당한 노략물을 되찾아 분배했다. 사울이 블레셋과의 전투에서 패하여 그의 아들들과 함께 죽자, 길르앗 야베스 사람들이 그 시체를 수습하여 장사했다.
  
  다윗과 아기스(29:1-29:11)    
 
  1. ペリシテ 人は， その 軍勢をすべて アフェク に 集結させた． イスラエル 軍は， イズレエル にある 一つの 泉の 傍らに 陣を 敷いた．
  2. ペリシテ の 武將たちはおのおの 百人隊， 千人隊を 率いて 進み， ダビデ とその 兵は アキシュ と 共にしんがりを 進んだ．
  3. ペリシテ の 武將たちは 尋ねた． 「この ヘブライ 人らは 何者だ． 」 アキシュ が ペリシテ の 武將たちに 答えた． 「イスラエル の 王 サウル の 僕であった ダビデ だ． 彼はこの 一， 二年， わたしのもとにいるが， 身を 寄せて 來たときから 今日まで， わたしは 彼に 何の 欠点も 見いだせない． 」
  4. だが， ペリシテ の 武將たちはいらだって アキシュ に 言った． 「この 男は 歸らせるべきだ． 彼をもともと 配置した 所に 戾せ． 我¿と 共に 戰いに 向かわせるな． 戰いの 最中に 裏切られてはならない． この 男が 元の 主人に 再び 迎え 入れられるには， ここにいる 兵士たちの 首を 差し 出すだけで 十分ではないか．
  5. 『サウル は 千を 討ち， ダビデ は 万を 討った 』と 人¿が 歌い 踊ったあの ダビデ ではないか． 」
  1. The Philistines gathered all their forces at Aphek, and Israel camped by the spring in Jezreel.
  2. As the Philistine rulers marched with their units of hundreds and thousands, David and his men were marching at the rear with Achish.
  3. The commanders of the Philistines asked, "What about these Hebrews?" Achish replied, "Is this not David, who was an officer of Saul king of Israel? He has already been with me for over a year, and from the day he left Saul until now, I have found no fault in him."
  4. But the Philistine commanders were angry with him and said, "Send the man back, that he may return to the place you assigned him. He must not go with us into battle, or he will turn against us during the fighting. How better could he regain his master's favor than by taking the heads of our own men?
  5. Isn't this the David they sang about in their dances: " 'Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands'?"
  1. アキシュ は ダビデ を 呼んで 言った． 「主は 生きておられる． お 前はまっすぐな 人間だし， わたしと 共に 戰いに 參加するのをわたしは 喜んでいる． わたしのもとに 來たときから 今日まで， 何ら 惡意は 見られなかった． だが， 武將たちはお 前を 好まない．
  2. 今は， 平和に 歸ってほしい． ペリシテ の 武將たちの 好まないことをしてはならない． 」
  3. ダビデ は アキシュ に 言った． 「わたしが 何をしたとおっしゃるのですか． あなたに 仕えた 日から 今日までに， どのような 間違いが 僕にあって， わが 主君， 王の 敵と 戰うために 出てはならないというのでしょう． 」
  4. アキシュ は ダビデ に 答えた． 「わたしには 分かっている． お 前は 神の 御使いのように 良い 人間だ． しかし， ペリシテ の 武將たちは， 『彼は， 我¿と 共に 戰いに 上ってはならない 』と 言うのだ．
  5. だからお 前も， お 前と 一緖に 來たお 前の 主君の 部下も， 明日の 朝早く 起きて， 日が 昇ったら 出發しなさい． 」
  1. So Achish called David and said to him, "As surely as the LORD lives, you have been reliable, and I would be pleased to have you serve with me in the army. From the day you came to me until now, I have found no fault in you, but the rulers don't approve of you.
  2. Turn back and go in peace; do nothing to displease the Philistine rulers."
  3. "But what have I done?" asked David. "What have you found against your servant from the day I came to you until now? Why can't I go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?"
  4. Achish answered, "I know that you have been as pleasing in my eyes as an angel of God; nevertheless, the Philistine commanders have said, 'He must not go up with us into battle.'
  5. Now get up early, along with your master's servants who have come with you, and leave in the morning as soon as it is light."
  1. ダビデ とその 兵は 朝早く 起きて 出發し， ペリシテ の 地へ 引き 返して 行った． ペリシテ 軍は イズレエル に 向かった．
  1. So David and his men got up early in the morning to go back to the land of the Philistines, and the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
 
  아말렉을 멸한 다윗(30:1-30:31)    
 
  1. 三日目， ダビデ とその 兵が ツィクラグ に 戾る 前に， アマレク 人が ネゲブ と ツィクラグ に 侵入した． 彼らは ツィクラグ を 攻擊して， 町に 火をかけ，
  2. そこにいた 女たち， 年若い 者から 年寄りまで， 一人も 殺さずに 捕らえて 引いて 行った．
  3. ダビデ とその 兵が 町に 戾ってみると， 町は 燒け 落ち， 妻や 息子， 娘たちは 連れ 去られていた．
  4. ダビデ も 彼と 共にいた 兵士も， 聲をあげて 泣き， ついには 泣く 力もなくなった．
  5. ダビデ の 二人の 妻， イズレエル の アヒノアム と カルメル の ナバル の 妻であった アビガイル も 連れ 去られていた．
  1. David and his men reached Ziklag on the third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned it,
  2. and had taken captive the women and all who were in it, both young and old. They killed none of them, but carried them off as they went on their way.
  3. When David and his men came to Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive.
  4. So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep.
  5. David's two wives had been captured--Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal of Carmel.
  1. 兵士は 皆， 息子， 娘のことで 惱み， ダビデ を 石で 打ち 殺そうと 言い 出したので， ダビデ は 苦しんだ． だが， ダビデ はその 神， 主によって 力を 奮い 起こした．
  2. ダビデ は， アヒメレク の 子， 祭司 アビアタル に 命じた． 「エフォド を 持って 來なさい． 」 アビアタル が ダビデ に エフォド を 持って 來ると，
  3. ダビデ は 主に 託宣を 求めた． 「この 略奪隊を 追跡すべきでしょうか． 追いつけるでしょうか． 」「追跡せよ． 必ず 追いつき， 救出できる． 」という 答えであった．
  4. ダビデ と 彼に 從う 兵六百人は 出立した． ベソル 川に 着くと， そこで 落伍者が 出た．
  5. ダビデ と 四百人の 兵は 追跡を 續けたが， 二百人は 疲れすぎていて ベソル 川を 渡れなかったので， そこにとどまった．
  1. David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.
  2. Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, "Bring me the ephod." Abiathar brought it to him,
  3. and David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?" "Pursue them," he answered. "You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue."
  4. David and the six hundred men with him came to the Besor Ravine, where some stayed behind,
  5. for two hundred men were too exhausted to cross the ravine. But David and four hundred men continued the pursuit.
  1. 兵士たちは 野原で 一人の エジプト 人を 見つけ， ダビデ のもとに 連れて 來た． パン を 與えて 食べさせ， 水を 飮ませ，
  2. 更に 干しいちじく 一かたまりと 干しぶどう 二房を 與えて 食べさせると 元氣を 取り 戾した． 彼は， 三日三晩， 飮まず 食わずでいたからである．
  3. ダビデ が 彼に， 「お 前は 誰の 配下の 者で， どこから 來たのか 」と 問うと， 「わたしは エジプト からの 從者で， アマレク 人の 奴隷になっていました． 三日前に 病にかかり， 主人に 捨てられました．
  4. クレタ 人の ネゲブ ， ユダ に 屬する ネゲブ ， カレブ の ネゲブ に 侵入し， ツィクラグ に 火をかけたのは 我¿です． 」
  5. ダビデ は 尋ねた． 「お 前はその 略奪隊のもとへわたしを 案內できるか． 」「あなたが， わたしを 殺さない， 主人に 引き 渡さないと 神にかけて 誓ってくだされば， あの 略奪隊のところに 御案內します． 」
  1. They found an Egyptian in a field and brought him to David. They gave him water to drink and food to eat-
  2. part of a cake of pressed figs and two cakes of raisins. He ate and was revived, for he had not eaten any food or drunk any water for three days and three nights.
  3. David asked him, "To whom do you belong, and where do you come from?" He said, "I am an Egyptian, the slave of an Amalekite. My master abandoned me when I became ill three days ago.
  4. We raided the Negev of the Kerethites and the territory belonging to Judah and the Negev of Caleb. And we burned Ziklag."
  5. David asked him, "Can you lead me down to this raiding party?" He answered, "Swear to me before God that you will not kill me or hand me over to my master, and I will take you down to them."
  1. 彼は ダビデ を 案內して 行った． 見ると 彼らはその 邊り 一面に 廣がり， ペリシテ の 地と ユダ の 地から 奪った 戰利品がおびただしかったので， 飮んだり 食べたり， お 祭り ¿ぎをしていた．
  2. 夕暮れになると ダビデ は 攻擊をかけ， 翌日の 夕方まで 續けた． らくだに 乘って 逃げた 四百人の 若者を 除いて， 逃れた 者は 一人もなかった．
  3. ダビデ は アマレク 人が 奪って 行ったものをすべて 取り 戾し， 二人の 妻も 救い 出した．
  4. 年若い 者も 年寄りも， 息子も 娘も， 戰利品として 奪われたものもすべて， ダビデ は 殘らず 取り 返した．
  5. 更に， ダビデ は 羊と 牛をことごとく 奪った． 一行はこの 家畜の 群れを 引いて 行きながら， 言った． 「これは ダビデ の 戰利品だ． 」
  1. He led David down, and there they were, scattered over the countryside, eating, drinking and reveling because of the great amount of plunder they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from Judah.
  2. David fought them from dusk until the evening of the next day, and none of them got away, except four hundred young men who rode off on camels and fled.
  3. David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives.
  4. Nothing was missing: young or old, boy or girl, plunder or anything else they had taken. David brought everything back.
  5. He took all the flocks and herds, and his men drove them ahead of the other livestock, saying, "This is David's plunder."
  1. やがて， 疲勞のため ダビデ に 從うことができず， ベソル 川にとどまっていた 二百人の 兵のもとに 戾って 來ると， 彼らは ダビデ と ダビデ に 從った 兵士たちを 迎えに 出て 來た． ダビデ はこの 兵士たちに 近づくと， 彼らの 安否を 尋ねた．
  2. ダビデ に 從って 行った 者の 中には， 惡意を 持つならず 者がいて， 言った． 「彼らは 我¿と 共に 行かなかったのだ． 我¿が 取り 戾した 戰利品を 與える 必要はない． ただ 妻と 子供を 受け 取り， 連れて 行くがよい． 」
  3. しかし， ダビデ は 言った． 「兄弟たちよ， 主が 與えてくださったものをそのようにしてはいけない． 我¿を 守ってくださったのは 主であり， 襲って 來たあの 略奪隊を 我¿の 手に 渡されたのは 主なのだ．
  4. 誰がこのことについてあなたたちに 同意するだろう． 荷物のそばにとどまっていた 者の 取り 分は， 戰いに 出て 行った 者の 取り 分と 同じでなければならない． 皆， 同じように 分け 合うのだ． 」
  5. この 日から， これが イスラエル の ¿， 慣例とされ， 今日に 至っている．
  1. Then David came to the two hundred men who had been too exhausted to follow him and who were left behind at the Besor Ravine. They came out to meet David and the people with him. As David and his men approached, he greeted them.
  2. But all the evil men and troublemakers among David's followers said, "Because they did not go out with us, we will not share with them the plunder we recovered. However, each man may take his wife and children and go."
  3. David replied, "No, my brothers, you must not do that with what the LORD has given us. He has protected us and handed over to us the forces that came against us.
  4. Who will listen to what you say? The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike."
  5. David made this a statute and ordinance for Israel from that day to this.
  1. ダビデ は ツィクラグ に 歸ると， 友人である ユダ の 長老たちに 戰利品の 中から 贈り 物をして， 「これがあなたたちへの 贈り 物です． 主の 敵からの 戰利品の 一部です 」と 言った．

  1. When David arrived in Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends, saying, "Here is a present for you from the plunder of the LORD's enemies."
  2. He sent it to those who were in Bethel, Ramoth Negev and Jattir;
  3. to those in Aroer, Siphmoth, Eshtemoa
  4. and Racal; to those in the towns of the Jerahmeelites and the Kenites;
  5. to those in Hormah, Bor Ashan, Athach
  1. ヘブロン ， そして， ダビデ とその 兵がかつてさまよい 步いたすべての 所の 長老たちである．
  1. and Hebron; and to those in all the other places where David and his men had roamed.
 
  사울의 죽음(31:1-31:13)    
 
  1. ペリシテ 軍は イスラエル と 戰い， イスラエル 兵は ペリシテ 軍の 前から 逃げ 去り， 傷ついた 兵士たちが ギルボア 山上で 倒れた．
  2. ペリシテ 軍は サウル とその 息子たちに 迫り， サウル の 息子 ヨナタン ， アビナダブ ， マルキ · シュア を 討った．
  3. サウル に 對する 攻擊も 激しくなり， 射手たちが サウル を 見つけ， サウル は 彼らによって 深手を 負った．
  4. サウル は 彼の 武器を 持つ 從卒に 命じた． 「お 前の 劍を 拔き， わたしを 刺し 殺してくれ． あの 無割禮の 者どもに 襲われて 刺し 殺され， なぶりものにされたくない． 」だが， 從卒は 非常に 恐れ， そうすることができなかったので， サウル は 劍を 取り， その 上に 倒れ 伏した．
  5. 從卒は サウル が 死んだのを 見ると， 自分も 劍の 上に 倒れ 伏して サウル と 共に 死んだ．
  1. Now the Philistines fought against Israel; the Israelites fled before them, and many fell slain on Mount Gilboa.
  2. The Philistines pressed hard after Saul and his sons, and they killed his sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua.
  3. The fighting grew fierce around Saul, and when the archers overtook him, they wounded him critically.
  4. Saul said to his armor-bearer, "Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me." But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
  5. When the armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died with him.
  1. この 同じ 日に， サウル とその 三人の 息子， 從卒， 更に 彼の 兵は 皆死んだ．
  2. 谷の 向こう 側と， ヨルダン の 向こう 側の イスラエル 人は， イスラエル 兵が 逃げ， サウル とその 息子たちが 死んだのを 見ると， 町をことごとく 捨てて 逃げ 去ったので， ペリシテ 軍が 來てそこにとどまった．
  3. 翌日， 戰死者からはぎ 取ろうとやって 來た ペリシテ 軍は， サウル とその 三人の 息子が ギルボア 山上に 倒れているのを 見つけた．
  4. 彼らは サウル の 首を 切り 落とし， 武具を 奪った． ペリシテ 全土に 使者が 送られ， 彼らの 偶像の 神殿と 民に 戰勝が 傳えられた．
  5. 彼らは サウル の 武具を アシュトレト 神殿に 納め， その 遺體を ベト · シャン の 城壁にさらした．
  1. So Saul and his three sons and his armor-bearer and all his men died together that same day.
  2. When the Israelites along the valley and those across the Jordan saw that the Israelite army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their towns and fled. And the Philistines came and occupied them.
  3. The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
  4. They cut off his head and stripped off his armor, and they sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temple of their idols and among their people.
  5. They put his armor in the temple of the Ashtoreths and fastened his body to the wall of Beth Shan.
  1. ギレアド の ヤベシュ の 住民は， ペリシテ 軍の サウル に 對する 仕打ちを 聞いた．
  2. 戰士たちは 皆立って， 夜通し 步き， サウル とその 息子たちの 遺體を ベト · シャン の 城壁から 取り 下ろし， ヤベシュ に 持ち 歸って 火葬に 付し，
  3. 彼らの 骨を 拾って ヤベシュ のぎょりゅうの 木の 下に 葬り， 七日間， 斷食した．
  1. When the people of Jabesh Gilead heard of what the Philistines had done to Saul,
  2. all their valiant men journeyed through the night to Beth Shan. They took down the bodies of Saul and his sons from the wall of Beth Shan and went to Jabesh, where they burned them.
  3. Then they took their bones and buried them under a tamarisk tree at Jabesh, and they fasted seven days.
