사무엘하 14:1-15:23

 암논 사건으로 그술 땅에 피신해 있던 압살롬은 요압의 중재로 다시 예루살렘으로 돌아왔다. 그러나 귀환한 압살롬은 병력을 확보하고 민심을 사는 등 치밀한 계획하에 반란을 일으켰다. 다윗은 민심이 이미 압살롬에게 기운 것을 알고 황급히 도피했다.
  
  압살롬의 귀환(14:1-14:33)    
 
  1. ツェルヤ の 子 ヨアブ は， 王の 心が アブサロム に 向かっていることを 悟り，
  2. テコア に 使いを 送って 一人の 知惠のある 女を 呼び 寄せ， 彼女に 言った． 「喪を 裝ってほしい． 喪服を 着， 化粧もせず， 長い 間死者のために 喪に 服しているように 裝うのだ．
  3. そして 王のもとに 行き， こう 語りなさい． 」 ヨアブ は 語るべき 言葉を 彼女に 與えた．
  4. テコア の 女は 王の 前に 出ると， 地にひれ 伏して 禮をし， 「王樣， お 救いください 」と 言った．
  5. 「どうしたのだ 」と 王が 尋ねると， 彼女は 言った． 「わたしは 實はやもめでございます． 夫は 亡くなりました．
  1. Joab son of Zeruiah knew that the king's heart longed for Absalom.
  2. So Joab sent someone to Tekoa and had a wise woman brought from there. He said to her, "Pretend you are in mourning. Dress in mourning clothes, and don't use any cosmetic lotions. Act like a woman who has spent many days grieving for the dead.
  3. Then go to the king and speak these words to him." And Joab put the words in her mouth.
  4. When the woman from Tekoa went to the king, she fell with her face to the ground to pay him honor, and she said, "Help me, O king!"
  5. The king asked her, "What is troubling you?" She said, "I am indeed a widow; my husband is dead.
  1. はしためには 二人の 息子がおりました． ところが 二人は 畑でいさかいを 起こし， 間に 入って 助けてくれる 者もなく， 一人がもう 一人を 打ち 殺してしまいました．
  2. その 上， 一族の 者が 皆， このはしためを 責めて， 『兄弟殺しを 引き 渡せ． 殺した 兄弟の 命の 償いに 彼を 殺し， 跡繼ぎも 斷とう 』と 申すのです． はしために 殘された 火種を 消し， 夫の 名も 跡繼ぎも 地上に 殘させまいとしています． 」
  3. 王は 女に 言った． 「家に 歸るがよい． お 前のために 命令を 出そう． 」
  4. テコア の 女は 王に 言った． 「主君である 王樣， 責めは， わたしとわたしの 父の 家にございます． 王樣も 王座も 責めを 負ってはなりません． 」
  5. 王は 言った． 「お 前にあれこれ 言う 者がいたら， わたしのもとに 連れて 來なさい． その 者がお 前を 煩わすことは 二度とない． 」
  1. I your servant had two sons. They got into a fight with each other in the field, and no one was there to separate them. One struck the other and killed him.
  2. Now the whole clan has risen up against your servant; they say, 'Hand over the one who struck his brother down, so that we may put him to death for the life of his brother whom he killed; then we will get rid of the heir as well.' They would put out the only burning coal I have left, leaving my husband neither name nor descendant on the face of the earth."
  3. The king said to the woman, "Go home, and I will issue an order in your behalf."
  4. But the woman from Tekoa said to him, "My lord the king, let the blame rest on me and on my father's family, and let the king and his throne be without guilt."
  5. The king replied, "If anyone says anything to you, bring him to me, and he will not bother you again."
  1. 彼女は 言った． 「王樣， どうかあなたの 神， 主に 心をお 留めください． 血の 復讐をする 者が 殺戮を 繰り 返すことのありませんように． 彼らがわたしの 息子を 斷ち 滅ぼしてしまいませんように． 」王は 答えた． 「主は 生きておられる． お 前の 息子の 髮の 毛一本たりとも 地に 落ちることはない． 」
  2. 女は 言った． 「主君である 王樣， はしためにもうひと 言申し 述べさせてください． 」王は 言った． 「語るがよい． 」
  3. 女は 言った． 「主君である 王樣， それではなぜ， 神の 民に 對してあなたはこのようにふるまわれるのでしょう． 王樣御自身， 追放された 方を 連れ 戾そうとなさいません． 王樣の 今回の 御判斷によるなら， 王樣は 責められることになります．
  4. わたしたちは 皆， 死ぬべきもの， 地に 流されれば， 再び 集めることのできない 水のようなものでございます． 神は， 追放された 者が 神からも 追放されたままになることをお 望みになりません． そうならないように 取り 計らってくださいます．
  5. 王樣のもとに 參りまして， このようなことを 申し 上げますのは， 民がわたしに 恐怖を 與えるからでございます． 王樣に 申し 上げれば， 必ずはしための 願いをかなえてくださると 思いました．
  1. She said, "Then let the king invoke the LORD his God to prevent the avenger of blood from adding to the destruction, so that my son will not be destroyed." "As surely as the LORD lives," he said, "not one hair of your son's head will fall to the ground."
  2. Then the woman said, "Let your servant speak a word to my lord the king." "Speak," he replied.
  3. The woman said, "Why then have you devised a thing like this against the people of God? When the king says this, does he not convict himself, for the king has not brought back his banished son?
  4. Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him.
  5. "And now I have come to say this to my lord the king because the people have made me afraid. Your servant thought, 'I will speak to the king; perhaps he will do what his servant asks.
  1. 王樣は 聞き 屆けてくださいました． 神からいただいた 嗣業の 地からわたしと 息子を 斷ち 滅ぼそうとする 者の 手から， はしためを 救ってくださいます．
  2. はしためは， 主君である 王樣のお 言葉が 慰めになると 信じて 參りました． 主君である 王樣は， 神の 御使いのように 善と 惡を 聞き 分けられます． あなたの 神， 主がどうかあなたと 共におられますように． 」
  3. 王は 女に 言った． 「わたしがこれから 問うことに， 隱し 立てをしないように． 」女は 答えた． 「王樣， どうぞおっしゃってください． 」
  4. 王は 言った． 「これはすべて， ヨアブ の 指圖であろう． 」女は 答えて 言った． 「王樣， あなたは 生きておられます． 何もかも 王樣の 仰せのとおりでございます． 右にも 左にもそらすことはできません． 王樣の 御家臣 ヨアブ がわたしにこれを 命じ， 申し 上げるべき 言葉をすべて， はしための 口に 授けたのでございます．
  5. 御家臣 ヨアブ が 事態を 變えるためにこのようなことをしたのです． 王樣は 神の 御使いの 知惠のような 知惠をお 持ちで， 地上に 起こることをすべてご 存じです． 」
  1. Perhaps the king will agree to deliver his servant from the hand of the man who is trying to cut off both me and my son from the inheritance God gave us.'
  2. "And now your servant says, 'May the word of my lord the king bring me rest, for my lord the king is like an angel of God in discerning good and evil. May the LORD your God be with you.' "
  3. Then the king said to the woman, "Do not keep from me the answer to what I am going to ask you." "Let my lord the king speak," the woman said.
  4. The king asked, "Isn't the hand of Joab with you in all this?" The woman answered, "As surely as you live, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right or to the left from anything my lord the king says. Yes, it was your servant Joab who instructed me to do this and who put all these words into the mouth of your servant.
  5. Your servant Joab did this to change the present situation. My lord has wisdom like that of an angel of God--he knows everything that happens in the land."
  1. 王は ヨアブ に 言った． 「よかろう， そうしよう． あの 若者， アブサロム を 連れ 戾すがよい． 」
  2. ヨアブ は 地にひれ 伏して 禮をし， 王に 祝福の 言葉を 述べた． ヨアブ は 言った． 「王よ， 今日僕は， 主君， 王の 御厚意にあずかっていると 悟りました． 僕の 言葉を 實行してくださるからです． 」
  3. ヨアブ は 立って ゲシュル に 向かい， アブサロム を エルサレム に 連れ 歸った．
  4. だが， 王は 言った． 「自分の 家に 向かわせよ． わたしの 前に 出てはならない． 」 アブサロム は 自分の 家に 向かい， 王の 前には 出なかった．
  5. イスラエル の 中で アブサロム ほど， その 美しさをたたえられた 男はなかった． 足の 裏から 頭のてっぺんまで， 非のうちどころがなかった．
  1. The king said to Joab, "Very well, I will do it. Go, bring back the young man Absalom."
  2. Joab fell with his face to the ground to pay him honor, and he blessed the king. Joab said, "Today your servant knows that he has found favor in your eyes, my lord the king, because the king has granted his servant's request."
  3. Then Joab went to Geshur and brought Absalom back to Jerusalem.
  4. But the king said, "He must go to his own house; he must not see my face." So Absalom went to his own house and did not see the face of the king.
  5. In all Israel there was not a man so highly praised for his handsome appearance as Absalom. From the top of his head to the sole of his foot there was no blemish in him.
  1. 每年の 終わりに 髮を 刈ることにしていたが， それは 髮が 重くなりすぎるからで， 刈り 落とした 毛は 王の 重りで 二百 シェケル もあった．
  2. アブサロム には 三人の 息子と 一人の 娘が 生まれた． 娘は タマル という 名で， 大變美しかった．
  3. アブサロム は エルサレム で 二年間過ごしたが， 王の 前に 出られなかった．
  4. アブサロム は， ヨアブ を 王のもとへの 使者に 賴もうとして 人をやったが， ヨアブ は 來ようとせず， 二度目の 使いにも 來ようとしなかった．
  5. アブサロム は 部下に 命じた． 「見よ， ヨアブ の 地所はわたしの 地所の 隣で， そこに 大麥の 畑がある． 行ってそこに 火を 放て． 」 アブサロム の 部下はその 地所に 火を 放った．
  1. Whenever he cut the hair of his head--he used to cut his hair from time to time when it became too heavy for him--he would weigh it, and its weight was two hundred shekels by the royal standard.
  2. Three sons and a daughter were born to Absalom. The daughter's name was Tamar, and she became a beautiful woman.
  3. Absalom lived two years in Jerusalem without seeing the king's face.
  4. Then Absalom sent for Joab in order to send him to the king, but Joab refused to come to him. So he sent a second time, but he refused to come.
  5. Then he said to his servants, "Look, Joab's field is next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire." So Absalom's servants set the field on fire.
  1. ヨアブ は 立って アブサロム の 家に 來た． 「あなたの 部下がわたしの 地所に 火を 放つとは 何事です 」と 彼が 言うと，
  2. アブサロム は ヨアブ に 言った． 「わたしはお 前に 來てもらおうと 使いをやった． お 前を 王のもとに 送って， 『何のためにわたしは ゲシュル から 歸って 來たのでしょうか， これでは ゲシュル にいた 方がよかったのです 』と 傳えてもらいたかったのだ． 王に 會いたい． わたしに 罪があるなら， 死刑にするがよい． 」
  3. ヨアブ は 王のもとに 行って 報告した． 王は アブサロム を 呼び 寄せ， アブサロム は 王の 前に 出て， ひれ 伏して 禮をした． 王は アブサロム に 口づけした．
  1. Then Joab did go to Absalom's house and he said to him, "Why have your servants set my field on fire?"
  2. Absalom said to Joab, "Look, I sent word to you and said, 'Come here so I can send you to the king to ask, "Why have I come from Geshur? It would be better for me if I were still there!" ' Now then, I want to see the king's face, and if I am guilty of anything, let him put me to death."
  3. So Joab went to the king and told him this. Then the king summoned Absalom, and he came in and bowed down with his face to the ground before the king. And the king kissed Absalom.
 
  압살롬의 반역(15:1-15:23)    
 
  1. その 後， アブサロム は 戰車と 馬， ならびに 五十人の 護衛兵を 自分のために 整えた．
  2. アブサロム は 朝早く 起き， 城門への 道の 傍らに 立った． 爭いがあり， 王に 裁定を 求めに 來る 者をだれかれなく 呼び 止めて， その 出身地を 尋ね， 「僕は イスラエル 諸部族の 一つに 屬しています 」と 答えると，
  3. アブサロム はその 人に 向かってこう 言うことにしていた． 「いいか． お 前の 訴えは 正しいし， 弁護できる． だがあの 王の 下では 聞いてくれる 者はいない． 」
  4. アブサロム は， こうも 言った． 「わたしがこの 地の 裁き 人であれば， 爭い 事や 申し 立てのある 者を 皆， 正當に 裁いてやれるのに． 」
  5. また， 彼に 近づいて 禮をする 者があれば， 手を 差し 伸べて 彼を 抱き， 口づけした．
  1. In the course of time, Absalom provided himself with a chariot and horses and with fifty men to run ahead of him.
  2. He would get up early and stand by the side of the road leading to the city gate. Whenever anyone came with a complaint to be placed before the king for a decision, Absalom would call out to him, "What town are you from?" He would answer, "Your servant is from one of the tribes of Israel."
  3. Then Absalom would say to him, "Look, your claims are valid and proper, but there is no representative of the king to hear you."
  4. And Absalom would add, "If only I were appointed judge in the land! Then everyone who has a complaint or case could come to me and I would see that he gets justice."
  5. Also, whenever anyone approached him to bow down before him, Absalom would reach out his hand, take hold of him and kiss him.
  1. アブサロム は， 王に 裁定を 求めてやって 來る イスラエル 人すべてにこのようにふるまい， イスラエル の 人¿の 心を 盜み 取った．
  2. 四十歲になった 年の 終わりに アブサロム は 王に 願った． 「主への 誓願を 果たすため， ヘブロン に 行かせてください．
  3. 僕は アラム の ゲシュル に 滯在していたとき， もし 主がわたしを エルサレム に 連れ 戾してくださるなら 主に 仕える， と 誓いました． 」
  4. 王が「平和に 行って 來るように 」と 言ったので， アブサロム は 立って ヘブロン に 向かった．
  5. アブサロム は イスラエル の 全部族に 密使を 送り， 角笛の 音を 合圖に， 「アブサロム が ヘブロン で 王となった 」と 言うように 命じた．
  1. Absalom behaved in this way toward all the Israelites who came to the king asking for justice, and so he stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
  2. At the end of four years, Absalom said to the king, "Let me go to Hebron and fulfill a vow I made to the LORD.
  3. While your servant was living at Geshur in Aram, I made this vow: 'If the LORD takes me back to Jerusalem, I will worship the LORD in Hebron. ' "
  4. The king said to him, "Go in peace." So he went to Hebron.
  5. Then Absalom sent secret messengers throughout the tribes of Israel to say, "As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpets, then say, 'Absalom is king in Hebron.' "
  1. このとき エルサレム から 二百人の 者が アブサロム と 共に 出かけたが， 招きに 應じて 同行しただけで， 何も 知らされてはいなかった．
  2. いけにえをささげるにあたって， アブサロム は 使いを 送り， ダビデ の 顧問である ギロ 人 アヒトフェル を 彼の 町 ギロ から 迎えた． 陰謀が 固められてゆき， アブサロム のもとに 集まる 民は 次第に 數を 增した．
  3. イスラエル 人の 心は アブサロム に 移っているという 知らせが， ダビデ に 屆いた．
  4. ダビデ は， 自分と 共に エルサレム にいる 家臣全員に 言った． 「直ちに 逃れよう． アブサロム を 避けられなくなってはいけない． 我¿が 急がなければ， アブサロム がすぐに 我¿に 追いつき， 危害を 與え， この 都を 劍にかけるだろう． 」
  5. 王の 家臣たちは 言った． 「主君， 王よ， 僕たちはすべて 御判斷のとおりにいたします． 」
  1. Two hundred men from Jerusalem had accompanied Absalom. They had been invited as guests and went quite innocently, knowing nothing about the matter.
  2. While Absalom was offering sacrifices, he also sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counselor, to come from Giloh, his hometown. And so the conspiracy gained strength, and Absalom's following kept on increasing.
  3. A messenger came and told David, "The hearts of the men of Israel are with Absalom."
  4. Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, "Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin upon us and put the city to the sword."
  5. The king's officials answered him, "Your servants are ready to do whatever our lord the king chooses."
  1. こうして 王は 出發し， 王宮の 者が 皆， その 後に 從った． 王は 王宮を 守らせるために 十人の 側女を 殘した．
  2. 王が 出發し， 人¿は 皆， その 後に 從った． 一行は， まず 離宮のところで 步みを 止めた．
  3. 家臣がまず 王の 傍らを 通り， 次いで クレタ 人全員と ペレティ 人全員， それに 續いて ガト から ダビデ に 從って 來た 六百人の ガト 人が 王の 前を 通った．
  4. 王は ガト 人 イタイ に 言った． 「なぜあなたまでが， 我¿と 行動を 共にするのか． 戾ってあの 王のもとにとどまりなさい． あなたは 外國人だ． しかもこの 國では 亡命者の 身分だ．
  5. 昨日來たばかりのあなたを， 今日我¿と 共に 放浪者にすることはできない． わたしは 行けるところへ 行くだけだ． 兄弟たちと 共に 戾りなさい． 主があなたに 慈しみとまことを 示されるように． 」
  1. The king set out, with his entire household following him; but he left ten concubines to take care of the palace.
  2. So the king set out, with all the people following him, and they halted at a place some distance away.
  3. All his men marched past him, along with all the Kerethites and Pelethites; and all the six hundred Gittites who had accompanied him from Gath marched before the king.
  4. The king said to Ittai the Gittite, "Why should you come along with us? Go back and stay with King Absalom. You are a foreigner, an exile from your homeland.
  5. You came only yesterday. And today shall I make you wander about with us, when I do not know where I am going? Go back, and take your countrymen. May kindness and faithfulness be with you."
  1. イタイ は 王に 答えて 言った． 「主は 生きておられ， わが 主君， 王も 生きておられる． 生きるも 死ぬも， 主君， 王のおいでになるところが 僕のいるべきところです． 」
  2. ダビデ は， 「よろしい， 通って 行きなさい 」と 言い， ガト 人 イタイ は 大人も 子供も， 共にいた 者全員を 率いて 通った．
  3. その 地全體が 大聲をあげて 泣く 中を， 兵士全員が 通って 行った． 王は キドロン の 谷を 渡り， 兵士も 全員荒れ 野に 向かう 道を 進んだ．
  1. But Ittai replied to the king, "As surely as the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king may be, whether it means life or death, there will your servant be."
  2. David said to Ittai, "Go ahead, march on." So Ittai the Gittite marched on with all his men and the families that were with him.
  3. The whole countryside wept aloud as all the people passed by. The king also crossed the Kidron Valley, and all the people moved on toward the desert.
