열왕기하 13:1-14:29

 여호아하스와 요아스는 비록 바알 우상은 제거하였으나 여로보암이 만든 금송아지 우상 숭배에서는 벗어나지 못하므로써 아람군의 침입을 받는 징벌을 받았다. 아람의 압제하에 고통받는 이스라엘에 대해 엘리사는 하나님의 회복을 예언하고 운명했다. 한편 유다 왕 아마샤는 선정을 베풀며 강성해 갔으나 요아스에게 도전했다가 크게 패하고 신하들에 의해 피살되었다. 이스라엘 왕 여로보암 2세는 악정에도 불구하고 번영을 이루어 갔다.
  
  여호아하스와 요아스의 통치(13:1-13:25)    
 
  1. ユダ の 王， アハズヤ の 子 ヨアシュ の 治世第二十三年に， イエフ の 子 ヨアハズ が サマリア で イスラエル の 王となり， 十七年間王位にあった．
  2. 彼は 主の 目に 惡とされることを 行い， イスラエル に 罪を 犯させた ネバト の 子 ヤロブアム の 罪に 從って 步み， それを 離れなかった．
  3. 主は イスラエル に 對して 怒りを 燃やし， 彼らを 絶えず アラム の 王 ハザエル の 手と ハザエル の 子 ベン · ハダド の 手にお 渡しになった．

  1. In the twenty-third year of Joash son of Ahaziah king of Judah, Jehoahaz son of Jehu became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned seventeen years.
  2. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD by following the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit, and he did not turn away from them.
  3. So the LORD's anger burned against Israel, and for a long time he kept them under the power of Hazael king of Aram and Ben-Hadad his son.
  4. Then Jehoahaz sought the LORD's favor, and the LORD listened to him, for he saw how severely the king of Aram was oppressing Israel.
  5. The LORD provided a deliverer for Israel, and they escaped from the power of Aram. So the Israelites lived in their own homes as they had before.
  1. しかし 彼らは， イスラエル に 罪を 犯させた ヤロブアム の 家の 罪を 離れず， それに 從って 步み 續けた． サマリア には アシェラ 像が 立ったままであった．

  1. But they did not turn away from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit; they continued in them. Also, the Asherah pole remained standing in Samaria.
  2. Nothing had been left of the army of Jehoahaz except fifty horsemen, ten chariots and ten thousand foot soldiers, for the king of Aram had destroyed the rest and made them like the dust at threshing time.
  3. As for the other events of the reign of Jehoahaz, all he did and his achievements, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
  4. Jehoahaz rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria. And Jehoash his son succeeded him as king.
  5. In the thirty-seventh year of Joash king of Judah, Jehoash son of Jehoahaz became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned sixteen years.
  1. 彼は 主の 目に 惡とされることを 行い， イスラエル に 罪を 犯させた ネバト の 子 ヤロブアム の 罪を 全く 離れず， それに 從って 步み 續けた．

  5. エリシャ が 王に， 「弓と 矢を 取りなさい 」と 言うので， 王は 弓と 矢を 取った．
  1. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD and did not turn away from any of the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit; he continued in them.
  2. As for the other events of the reign of Jehoash, all he did and his achievements, including his war against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
  3. Jehoash rested with his fathers, and Jeroboam succeeded him on the throne. Jehoash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
  4. Now Elisha was suffering from the illness from which he died. Jehoash king of Israel went down to see him and wept over him. "My father! My father!" he cried. "The chariots and horsemen of Israel!"
  5. Elisha said, "Get a bow and some arrows," and he did so.
  1. エリシャ が イスラエル の 王に， 「弓を 手にしなさい 」と 言うので， 彼が 弓を 手にすると， エリシャ は 自分の 手を 王の 手の 上にのせて，

  4. 神の 人は 怒って 王に 言った． 「五度， 六度と 射るべきであった． そうすればあなたは アラム を 擊って， 滅ぼし 盡くしたであろう． だが 今となっては， 三度しか アラム を 擊ち 破ることができない． 」
  5. エリシャ は 死んで 葬られた． その 後， モアブ の 部隊が 每年この 地に 侵入して 來た．
  1. "Take the bow in your hands," he said to the king of Israel. When he had taken it, Elisha put his hands on the king's hands.
  2. "Open the east window," he said, and he opened it. "Shoot!" Elisha said, and he shot. "The LORD's arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Aram!" Elisha declared. "You will completely destroy the Arameans at Aphek."
  3. Then he said, "Take the arrows," and the king took them. Elisha told him, "Strike the ground." He struck it three times and stopped.
  4. The man of God was angry with him and said, "You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times."
  5. Elisha died and was buried. Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring.
  1. 人¿がある 人を 葬ろうとしていたとき， その 部隊を 見たので， 彼を エリシャ の 墓に 投げ ¿んで 立ち 去った． その 人は エリシャ の 骨に 觸れると 生き 返り， 自分の 足で 立ち 上がった．

  1. Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.
  2. Hazael king of Aram oppressed Israel throughout the reign of Jehoahaz.
  3. But the LORD was gracious to them and had compassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy them or banish them from his presence.
  4. Hazael king of Aram died, and Ben-Hadad his son succeeded him as king.
  5. Then Jehoash son of Jehoahaz recaptured from Ben-Hadad son of Hazael the towns he had taken in battle from his father Jehoahaz. Three times Jehoash defeated him, and so he recovered the Israelite towns.
 
  아마샤와 여로보암의 통치(14:1-14:29)    
 
  1. イスラエル の 王， ヨアハズ の 子 ヨアシュ の 治世第二年に， ユダ の 王 ヨアシュ の 子 アマツヤ が 王となった．
  2. 彼は 二十五歲で 王となり， 二十九年間 エルサレム で 王位にあった． その 母は 名を ヨアダン といい， エルサレム の 出身であった．
  3. 彼は 父祖 ダビデ ほどではなかったが， 父 ヨアシュ が 行ったように， 主の 目にかなう 正しいことをことごとく 行った．
  4. ただ 聖なる 高台は 取り 除かず， 民は 依然として 聖なる 高台でいけにえを 屠り， 香をたいていた．
  5. 彼は 國を 掌握すると， 父 ヨアシュ 王を 殺害した 家臣たちを 打ち 殺した．
  1. In the second year of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel, Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah began to reign.
  2. He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother's name was Jehoaddin; she was from Jerusalem.
  3. He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, but not as his father David had done. In everything he followed the example of his father Joash.
  4. The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there.
  5. After the kingdom was firmly in his grasp, he executed the officials who had murdered his father the king.
  1. しかし， モ ― セ の 律法の 書に 記されているところに 從い， 殺害者の 子供たちは 殺さなかった． 主がこう 命じておられるからである． 「父は 子のゆえに 死に 定められず， 子は 父のゆえに 死に 定められない． 人は， それぞれ 自分の 罪のゆえに 死に 定められる． 」
  2. アマツヤ は 鹽の 谷で 一万人の エドム 人を 打ち， セラ を 攻め 落とし， その 名を ヨクテエル と 名付けた． こうしてそれは 今日に 至っている．
  3. 次いで アマツヤ は， イスラエル の 王， イエフ の 孫で ヨアハズ の 子である ヨアシュ に 使者を 遣わし， 「來るがよい， 戰いを 交えよう 」と 言わせた．
  4. だが， イスラエル の 王 ヨアシュ は， ユダ の 王 アマツヤ に 次のような 返事を 送った． 「レバノン のあざみが レバノン の 杉に， 『あなたの 娘をわたしの 息子の 嫁にくれ 』と 申し ¿んだが， レバノン の 野の ¿が 通りかかって， あざみを 踏み 倒してしまった．
  5. あなたは エドム を 打ち 破って 思い 上がっている． その 榮譽に 滿足して 家にとどまっているがよい． なぜ 挑發して 災いを 招き， あなただけでなく， ユダ も 一緖に 倒れるようなことをするのか． 」
  1. Yet he did not put the sons of the assassins to death, in accordance with what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses where the LORD commanded: "Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sins."
  2. He was the one who defeated ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt and captured Sela in battle, calling it Joktheel, the name it has to this day.
  3. Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, with the challenge: "Come, meet me face to face."
  4. But Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah king of Judah: "A thistle in Lebanon sent a message to a cedar in Lebanon, 'Give your daughter to my son in marriage.' Then a wild beast in Lebanon came along and trampled the thistle underfoot.
  5. You have indeed defeated Edom and now you are arrogant. Glory in your victory, but stay at home! Why ask for trouble and cause your own downfall and that of Judah also?"
  1. しかし， アマツヤ はこれを 聞き 入れなかった． イスラエル の 王 ヨアシュ は 上って 來て， ユダ の ベト · シェメシュ で ユダ の 王 アマツヤ と 戰いを 交えた．
  2. その 結果， ユダ は イスラエル に 慘敗し， 兵はおのおのその 天幕に 逃げ 歸ってしまった．
  3. イスラエル の 王 ヨアシュ は ベト · シェメシュ で， アハズヤ の 孫で ヨアシュ の 子である ユダ の 王 アマツヤ を 捕らえ， エルサレム に 來て， その 城壁を エフライム の 門から 角の 門まで 四百 アンマ にわたって 破壞した．

  1. Amaziah, however, would not listen, so Jehoash king of Israel attacked. He and Amaziah king of Judah faced each other at Beth Shemesh in Judah.
  2. Judah was routed by Israel, and every man fled to his home.
  3. Jehoash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Ahaziah, at Beth Shemesh. Then Jehoash went to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate--a section about six hundred feet long.
  4. He took all the gold and silver and all the articles found in the temple of the LORD and in the treasuries of the royal palace. He also took hostages and returned to Samaria.
  5. As for the other events of the reign of Jehoash, what he did and his achievements, including his war against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
  1. ヨアシュ は 先祖と 共に 眠りにつき， イスラエル の 王たちと 共に サマリア に 葬られた． その 息子 ヤロブアム が ヨアシュ に 代わって 王となった．
  2. ユダ の 王， ヨアシュ の 子 アマツヤ は， イスラエル の 王， ヨアハズ の 子 ヨアシュ の 死後， なお 十五年生き 永らえた．
  3. アマツヤ の 他の 事績は， 『ユダ の 王の 歷代誌 』に 記されている．
  4. 彼に 對する 謀反が エルサレム で 企てられたため， 彼は ラキシュ に 逃れたが， ラキシュ に 送られた 追っ 手によって 殺された．

  1. Jehoash rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel. And Jeroboam his son succeeded him as king.
  2. Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah lived for fifteen years after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel.
  3. As for the other events of Amaziah's reign, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  4. They conspired against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish, but they sent men after him to Lachish and killed him there.
  5. He was brought back by horse and was buried in Jerusalem with his fathers, in the City of David.
  1. ユダ のすべての 民は 當時十六歲であった アザルヤ を 選び， 父 アマツヤ の 代わりに 王とした．
  2. アマツヤ が 先祖と 共に 眠りについた 後， 彼は エイラト の 町を 再建して， ユダ に 復歸させた．
  3. ユダ の 王， ヨアシュ の 子 アマツヤ の 治世第十五年に， イスラエル の 王， ヨアシュ の 子 ヤロブアム が サマリア で 王となり， 四十一年間王位にあった．

  3. In the fifteenth year of Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah, Jeroboam son of Jehoash king of Israel became king in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years.
  4. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD and did not turn away from any of the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit.
  5. He was the one who restored the boundaries of Israel from Lebo Hamath to the Sea of the Arabah, in accordance with the word of the LORD, the God of Israel, spoken through his servant Jonah son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath Hepher.
  1. 主は， イスラエル の 苦しみが 非常に 激しいことを 御覽になったからである． つながれている 者も 解き 放たれている 者もいなくなり， イスラエル を 助ける 者もいなかった．
  2. しかし， 主は イスラエル の 名を 天の 下から 消し 去ろうとは 言われず， ヨアシュ の 子 ヤロブアム によって 彼らを 救われたのである．
  3. ヤロブアム の 他の 事績， 彼の 行ったすべての 事， 戰いの 功績， また ユダ のものとなっていた ダマスコ と ハマト を イスラエル に 復歸させたことは， 『イスラエル の 王の 歷代誌 』に 記されている．
  4. ヤロブアム は 先祖と 共に， イスラエル の 王たちと 共に 眠りにつき， その 子 ゼカルヤ が ヤロブアム に 代わって 王となった．
  1. The LORD had seen how bitterly everyone in Israel, whether slave or free, was suffering; there was no one to help them.
  2. And since the LORD had not said he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam son of Jehoash.
  3. As for the other events of Jeroboam's reign, all he did, and his military achievements, including how he recovered for Israel both Damascus and Hamath, which had belonged to Yaudi, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
  4. Jeroboam rested with his fathers, the kings of Israel. And Zechariah his son succeeded him as king.
