- さて， わたしたちが 知っているように， すべて 律法の 言うところは， 律法の 下にいる 人¿に 向けられています． それは， すべての 人の 口がふさがれて， 全世界が 神の 裁きに 服するようになるためなのです．
- なぜなら， 律法を 實行することによっては， だれ 一人神の 前で 義とされないからです． 律法によっては， 罪の 自覺しか 生じないのです．
- ところが 今や， 律法とは 關係なく， しかも 律法と 預言者によって 立證されて， 神の 義が 示されました．
- すなわち， イエス · キリスト を 信じることにより， 信じる 者すべてに 與えられる 神の 義です． そこには 何の 差別もありません．
- 人は 皆， 罪を 犯して 神の 榮光を 受けられなくなっていますが，

- Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.
- Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
- But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
- This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,
- for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

- ただ キリスト · イエス による ·いの 業を 通して， 神の 惠みにより 無償で 義とされるのです．
- 神はこの キリスト を 立て， その 血によって 信じる 者のために 罪を 償う 供え 物となさいました． それは， 今まで 人が 犯した 罪を 見逃して， 神の 義をお 示しになるためです．
- このように 神は 忍耐してこられたが， 今この 時に 義を 示されたのは， 御自分が 正しい 方であることを 明らかにし， イエス を 信じる 者を 義となさるためです．
- では， 人の 誇りはどこにあるのか． それは 取り 除かれました． どんな 法則によってか． 行いの 法則によるのか． そうではない． 信仰の 法則によってです．
- なぜなら， わたしたちは， 人が 義とされるのは 律法の 行いによるのではなく， 信仰によると 考えるからです．

- and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
- God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--
- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
- Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith.
- For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.

- それとも， 神は ユダヤ 人だけの 神でしょうか． 異邦人の 神でもないのですか． そうです． 異邦人の 神でもあります．
- 實に， 神は 唯一だからです． この 神は， 割禮のある 者を 信仰のゆえに 義とし， 割禮のない 者をも 信仰によって 義としてくださるのです．
- それでは， わたしたちは 信仰によって， 律法を 無にするのか． 決してそうではない． むしろ， 律法を 確立するのです．

- Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,
- since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.
- Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.
