욥기

  본서는 공의로운 하나님께서 불의를 방관하신 이유와 의로운 자가 고난받는 원인이 무엇인지를 밝혀 주며, 고난을 통하여 하나님을 더욱 의지해야 한다는 것을 보여 주고 있다. 특히 하나님, 인간, 창조, 사단, 죄, 의, 고난, 정의, 회개, 믿음의 개념을 성경적으로 올바르게 정리하는 데 공헌하고 있다.

  본서는 서론인 1, 2장과 본론인 3:1 - 42:6, 그리고 결론인 42:7-17로 명확하게 구분되어 있으며 상호 논리적 필연성으로 연결되어 있다. 즉 서론은 문제의 발단을 기록하고 있으며, 본론은 욥이 당한 고난에 대하여 욥과 친구들의 변론 및 하나님의 메시지를 통하여 다양하게 해석하고 있고, 결론은 하나님의 은혜로 모든 것이 회복된 상황을 보여주고 있다.

 

 

욥기 1:1-3:26

 욥은 순전하고 정직하여 하나님을 경외하며 악에서 떠난 자였다. 그러나 사단의 참소로 인해 욥은 그의 모든 소유물들과 자녀들을 잃고 온몸에 악창이 생겼다. 그렇지만 욥은 하나님께 입술로 범죄하지 않았으며, 이 소식을 듣고 찾아온 친구 엘리바스, 빌닷, 소발은 욥의 상태를 보고 7일 동안 말을 걸지 못하였다. 절망한 욥은 자신의 생일을 저주하였다.
  
  사단의 시험(1:1-1:22)    
 
  1. ウツ の 地に ヨブ という 人がいた． 無垢な 正しい 人で， 神を 畏れ， 惡を 避けて 生きていた．
  2. 七人の 息子と 三人の 娘を 持ち，
  3. 羊七千匹， らくだ 三千頭， 牛五百くびき， 雌ろば 五百頭の 財産があり， 使用人も 非常に 多かった． 彼は 東の 國一番の 富豪であった．
  4. 息子たちはそれぞれ 順番に， 自分の 家で 宴會の 用意をし， 三人の 姉妹も 招いて 食事をすることにしていた．
  5. この 宴會が 一巡りするごとに， ヨブ は 息子たちを 呼び 寄せて 聖別し， 朝早くから 彼らの 數に 相當するいけにえをささげた． 「息子たちが 罪を 犯し， 心の 中で 神を 呪ったかもしれない 」と 思ったからである． ヨブ はいつもこのようにした．
  1. In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.
  2. He had seven sons and three daughters,
  3. and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.
  4. His sons used to take turns holding feasts in their homes, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.
  5. When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would send and have them purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, "Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." This was Job's regular custom.
  1. ある 日， 主の 前に 神の 使いたちが 集まり， サタン も 來た．
  2. 主は サタン に 言われた． 「お 前はどこから 來た． 」「地上を 巡回しておりました． ほうぼうを 步きまわっていました 」と サタン は 答えた．
  3. 主は サタン に 言われた． 「お 前はわたしの 僕 ヨブ に 氣づいたか． 地上に 彼ほどの 者はいまい． 無垢な 正しい 人で， 神を 畏れ， 惡を 避けて 生きている． 」
  4. サタン は 答えた． 「ヨブ が， 利益もないのに 神を 敬うでしょうか．
  5. あなたは 彼とその 一族， 全財産を 守っておられるではありませんか． 彼の 手の 業をすべて 祝福なさいます． お 陰で， 彼の 家畜はその 地に 溢れるほどです．
  1. One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them.
  2. The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it."
  3. Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."
  4. "Does Job fear God for nothing?" Satan replied.
  5. "Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.
  1. ひとつこの 邊で， 御手を 伸ばして 彼の 財産に 觸れてごらんなさい． 面と 向かってあなたを 呪うにちがいありません． 」
  2. 主は サタン に 言われた． 「それでは， 彼のものを 一切， お 前のいいようにしてみるがよい． ただし 彼には， 手を 出すな． 」 サタン は 主のもとから 出て 行った．
  3. ヨブ の 息子， 娘が， 長兄の 家で 宴會を 開いていた 日のことである．
  4. -15 ヨブ のもとに， 一人の 召使いが 報告に 來た． 「御報告いたします． わたしどもが， 牛に 畑を 耕させ， その 傍らでろばに 草を 食べさせておりますと， シェバ 人が 襲いかかり， 略奪していきました． 牧童たちは 切り 殺され， わたしひとりだけ 逃げのびて 參りました． 」
  1. But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face."
  2. The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger." Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.
  3. One day when Job's sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother's house,
  4. a messenger came to Job and said, "The oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby,
  5. and the Sabeans attacked and carried them off. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!"
  1. 彼が 話し 終らないうちに， また 一人が 來て 言った． 「御報告いたします． 天から 神の 火が 降って， 羊も 羊飼いも 燒け 死んでしまいました． わたしひとりだけ 逃げのびて 參りました． 」
  2. 彼が 話し 終らないうちに， また 一人來て 言った． 「御報告いたします． カルデア 人が 三部隊に 分かれてらくだの 群れを 襲い， 奪っていきました． 牧童たちは 切り 殺され， わたしひとりだけ 逃げのびて 參りました． 」
  3. 彼が 話し 終らないうちに， 更にもう 一人來て 言った． 「御報告いたします． 御長男のお 宅で， 御子息， 御息女の 皆樣が 宴會を 開いておられました．
  4. すると， 荒れ 野の 方から 大風が 來て 四方から 吹きつけ， 家は 倒れ， 若い 方¿は 死んでしまわれました． わたしひとりだけ 逃げのびて 參りました． 」
  5. ヨブ は 立ち 上がり， 衣を 裂き， 髮をそり 落とし， 地にひれ 伏して 言った．
  1. While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, "The fire of God fell from the sky and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!"
  2. While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, "The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and carried them off. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!"
  3. While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, "Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother's house,
  4. when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!"
  5. At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship
  1. 「わたしは 裸で 母の 胎を 出た． 裸でそこに 歸ろう． 主は 與え， 主は 奪う． 主の 御名はほめたたえられよ． 」
  2. このような 時にも， ヨブ は 神を 非難することなく， 罪を 犯さなかった．
  1. and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised."
  2. In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
 
  사단의 두번째 시험(2:1-2:13)    
 
  1. またある 日， 主の 前に 神の 使いたちが 集まり， サタン も 來て， 主の 前に 進み 出た．
  2. 主は サタン に 言われた． 「お 前はどこから 來た． 」「地上を 巡回しておりました． ほうぼうを 步きまわっていました 」と サタン は 答えた．
  3. 主は サタン に 言われた． 「お 前はわたしの 僕 ヨブ に 氣づいたか． 地上に 彼ほどの 者はいまい． 無垢な 正しい 人で， 神を 畏れ， 惡を 避けて 生きている． お 前は 理由もなく， わたしを 唆して 彼を 破滅させようとしたが， 彼はどこまでも 無垢だ． 」
  4. サタン は 答えた． 「皮には 皮を， と 申します． まして 命のためには 全財産を 差し 出すものです．
  5. 手を 伸ばして 彼の 骨と 肉に 觸れてごらんなさい． 面と 向かってあなたを 呪うにちがいありません． 」
  1. On another day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them to present himself before him.
  2. And the LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it."
  3. Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason."
  4. "Skin for skin!" Satan replied. "A man will give all he has for his own life.
  5. But stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face."
  1. 主は サタン に 言われた． 「それでは， 彼をお 前のいいようにするがよい． ただし， 命だけは 奪うな． 」
  2. サタン は 主の 前から 出て 行った． サタン は ヨブ に 手を 下し， 頭のてっぺんから 足の 裏までひどい 皮膚病にかからせた．
  3. ヨブ は 灰の 中に 座り， 素燒きのかけらで 體中をかきむしった．
  4. 彼の 妻は， ／「どこまでも 無垢でいるのですか． 神を 呪って， 死ぬ 方がましでしょう 」と 言ったが，
  5. ヨブ は 答えた． 「お 前まで 愚かなことを 言うのか． わたしたちは， 神から 幸福をいただいたのだから， 不幸もいただこうではないか． 」このようになっても， 彼は 唇をもって 罪を 犯すことをしなかった．
  1. The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life."
  2. So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.
  3. Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.
  4. His wife said to him, "Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!"
  5. He replied, "You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?" In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
  1. さて， ヨブ と 親しい テマン 人 エリファズ ， シュア 人 ビルダド ， ナアマ 人 ツォファル の 三人は， ヨブ にふりかかった 災難の 一部始終を 聞くと， 見舞い 慰めようと 相談して， それぞれの 國からやって 來た．
  2. 遠くから ヨブ を 見ると， それと 見分けられないほどの 姿になっていたので， 嘆きの 聲をあげ， 衣を 裂き， 天に 向かって 塵を 振りまき， 頭にかぶった．
  3. 彼らは 七日七晩， ヨブ と 共に 地面に 座っていたが， その 激しい 苦痛を 見ると， 話しかけることもできなかった．
  1. When Job's three friends, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they set out from their homes and met together by agreement to go and sympathize with him and comfort him.
  2. When they saw him from a distance, they could hardly recognize him; they began to weep aloud, and they tore their robes and sprinkled dust on their heads.
  3. Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights. No one said a word to him, because they saw how great his suffering was.
 
  자기의 생일을 저주하는 욥(3:1-3:26)    
 
  1. やがて ヨブ は 口を 開き， 自分の 生まれた 日を 呪って，
  2. 言った．
  3. わたしの 生まれた 日は 消えうせよ． 男の 子をみごもったことを 告げた 夜も．
  4. その 日は 闇となれ． 神が 上から 顧みることなく ／光もこれを 輝かすな．
  5. 暗黑と 死の 闇がその 日を ·って 取り 戾すがよい． 密雲がその 上に 立ちこめ ／¿の 暗い 影に 脅かされよ．
  1. After this, Job opened his mouth and cursed the day of his birth.
  2. He said:
  3. "May the day of my birth perish, and the night it was said, 'A boy is born!'
  4. That day--may it turn to darkness; may God above not care about it; may no light shine upon it.
  5. May darkness and deep shadow claim it once more; may a cloud settle over it; may blackness overwhelm its light.
  1. 闇がその 夜をとらえ ／その 夜は 年の 日¿に 加えられず ／月の 一日に 數えられることのないように．
  2. その 夜は， はらむことなく ／喜びの 聲もあがるな．
  3. 日に 呪いをかける 者 ／ レビヤタン を 呼び 起こす 力ある 者が ／その 日を 呪うがよい．
  4. その 日には， 夕べの 星も 光を 失い ／待ち 望んでも 光は 射さず ／曙のまばたきを 見ることもないように．
  5. その 日が， わたしをみごもるべき 腹の 戶を 閉ざさず ／この 目から 勞苦を 隱してくれなかったから．
  1. That night--may thick darkness seize it; may it not be included among the days of the year nor be entered in any of the months.
  2. May that night be barren; may no shout of joy be heard in it.
  3. May those who curse days curse that day, those who are ready to rouse Leviathan.
  4. May its morning stars become dark; may it wait for daylight in vain and not see the first rays of dawn,
  5. for it did not shut the doors of the womb on me to hide trouble from my eyes.
  1. なぜ， わたしは 母の 胎にいるうちに ／死んでしまわなかったのか． せめて， 生まれてすぐに 息絶えなかったのか．
  2. なぜ， 膝があってわたしを 抱き ／乳房があって 乳を 飮ませたのか．
  3. それさえなければ， 今は 默して 伏し ／憩いを 得て 眠りについていたであろうに．
  4. 今は 廢虛となった 町¿を 築いた ／地の 王や 參議らと 共に
  5. 金を 蓄え， 館を 銀で 滿たした 諸侯と 共に．
  1. "Why did I not perish at birth, and die as I came from the womb?
  2. Why were there knees to receive me and breasts that I might be nursed?
  3. For now I would be lying down in peace; I would be asleep and at rest
  4. with kings and counselors of the earth, who built for themselves places now lying in ruins,
  5. with rulers who had gold, who filled their houses with silver.
  1. なぜわたしは， 葬り 去られた 流産の 子 ／光を 見ない 子とならなかったのか．
  2. そこでは 神に 逆らう 者も 暴れ 回ることをやめ ／疲れた 者も 憩いを 得
  3. 捕われ 人も， 共にやすらぎ ／追い 使う 者の 聲はもう 聞こえない．
  4. そこには 小さい 人も 大きい 人も 共にいて ／奴隷も 主人から 自由になる．
  5. なぜ， 勞苦する 者に 光を 賜り ／惱み 嘆く 者を 生かしておかれるのか．
  1. Or why was I not hidden in the ground like a stillborn child, like an infant who never saw the light of day?
  2. There the wicked cease from turmoil, and there the weary are at rest.
  3. Captives also enjoy their ease; they no longer hear the slave driver's shout.
  4. The small and the great are there, and the slave is freed from his master.
  5. "Why is light given to those in misery, and life to the bitter of soul,
  1. 彼らは 死を 待っているが， 死は 來ない． 地に 埋もれた 寶にもまさって ／死を 探し 求めているのに．
  2. 墓を 見いだすことさえできれば ／喜び 躍り， 歡喜するだろうに．
  3. 行くべき 道が 隱されている 者の 前を ／神はなお 柵でふさがれる．
  4. 日ごとの パン のように 嘆きがわたしに 巡ってくる． 湧き 出る 水のようにわたしの 呻きはとどまらない．
  5. 恐れていたことが 起こった ／危¿していたことが 襲いかかった．
  1. to those who long for death that does not come, who search for it more than for hidden treasure,
  2. who are filled with gladness and rejoice when they reach the grave?
  3. Why is life given to a man whose way is hidden, whom God has hedged in?
  4. For sighing comes to me instead of food; my groans pour out like water.
  5. What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.
  1. 靜けさも， やすらぎも 失い ／憩うこともできず， わたしはわななく．
  1. I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil."
