- そこで， 主に 結ばれて 囚人となっているわたしはあなたがたに 勸めます． 神から 招かれたのですから， その 招きにふさわしく 步み，
- 一切高ぶることなく， 柔和で， 寬容の 心を 持ちなさい． 愛をもって 互いに 忍耐し，
- 平和のきずなで 結ばれて， 靈による 一致を 保つように 努めなさい．
- 體は 一つ， 靈は 一つです． それは， あなたがたが， 一つの 希望にあずかるようにと 招かれているのと 同じです．
- 主は 一人， 信仰は 一つ， 洗禮は 一つ，

- As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
- Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

- すべてのものの 父である 神は 唯一であって， すべてのものの 上にあり， すべてのものを 通して ¿き， すべてのものの 內におられます．
- しかし， わたしたち 一人一人に， キリスト の 賜物のはかりに 從って， 惠みが 與えられています．
- そこで， ／「高い 所に 昇るとき， 捕らわれ 人を 連れて 行き， ／人¿に 賜物を 分け 與えられた 」と 言われています．
- 「昇った 」というのですから， 低い 所， 地上に 降りておられたのではないでしょうか．
- この 降りて 來られた 方が， すべてのものを 滿たすために， もろもろの 天よりも 更に 高く 昇られたのです．

- But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
- This is why it says: "When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men."
- (What does "he ascended" mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions?
- He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.)

- そして， ある 人を 使徒， ある 人を 預言者， ある 人を 福音宣敎者， ある 人を 牧者， 敎師とされたのです．
- こうして， 聖なる 者たちは 奉仕の 業に 適した 者とされ， キリスト の 體を 造り 上げてゆき，
- ついには， わたしたちは 皆， 神の 子に 對する 信仰と 知識において 一つのものとなり， 成熟した 人間になり， キリスト の 滿ちあふれる 豊かさになるまで 成長するのです．
- こうして， わたしたちは， もはや 未熟な 者ではなくなり， 人¿を 誤りに 導こうとする 惡賢い 人間の， 風のように 變わりやすい 敎えに， もてあそばれたり， 引き 回されたりすることなく，
- むしろ， 愛に 根ざして 眞理を 語り， あらゆる 面で， 頭である キリスト に 向かって 成長していきます．

- It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
- to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
- until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
- Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
- Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.

- キリスト により， 體全體は， あらゆる 節¿が 補い 合うことによってしっかり 組み 合わされ， 結び 合わされて， おのおのの 部分は 分に 應じて ¿いて 體を 成長させ， 自ら 愛によって 造り 上げられてゆくのです．

- From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
