- こういうわけで， わたしたちもまた， このようにおびただしい 證人の 群れに 圍まれている 以上， すべての 重荷や 絡みつく 罪をかなぐり 捨てて， 自分に 定められている 競走を 忍耐强く 走り 拔こうではありませんか，
- 信仰の 創始者また 完成者である イエス を 見つめながら． この イエス は， 御自身の 前にある 喜びを 捨て， 恥をもいとわないで 十字架の 死を 耐え 忍び， 神の 玉座の 右にお 座りになったのです．
- あなたがたが， 氣力を 失い 疲れ 果ててしまわないように， 御自分に 對する 罪人たちのこのような 反抗を 忍耐された 方のことを， よく 考えなさい．
- あなたがたはまだ， 罪と 戰って 血を 流すまで 抵抗したことがありません．
- また， 子供たちに 對するようにあなたがたに 話されている 次の 勸告を 忘れています． 「わが 子よ， 主の 鍛鍊を 輕んじてはいけない． 主から 懲らしめられても， ／力を 落としてはいけない．

- Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
- Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
- In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
- And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

- なぜなら， 主は 愛する 者を 鍛え， ／子として 受け 入れる 者を 皆， ／鞭打たれるからである． 」
- あなたがたは， これを 鍛鍊として 忍耐しなさい． 神は， あなたがたを 子として 取り 扱っておられます． いったい， 父から 鍛えられない 子があるでしょうか．
- もしだれもが 受ける 鍛鍊を 受けていないとすれば， それこそ， あなたがたは 庶子であって， 實の 子ではありません．
- 更にまた， わたしたちには， 鍛えてくれる 肉の 父があり， その 父を 尊敬していました． それなら， なおさら， 靈の 父に 服從して 生きるのが 當然ではないでしょうか．
- 肉の 父はしばらくの 間， 自分の 思うままに 鍛えてくれましたが， 靈の 父はわたしたちの 益となるように， 御自分の 神聖にあずからせる 目的でわたしたちを 鍛えられるのです．

- because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."
- Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?
- If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.
- Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!
- Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.

- No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
- Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.
- "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
