아모스

  아모스가 활동할 당시의 북이스라엘은 경제적으로는 번영을 누렸으나 부정과 부패, 우상 숭배가 만연하였다. 이에 아모스는 하나님의 심판의 날을 선포하면서 백성들에게 공의를 행할 것과 하나님께 돌아올 것을 외쳤다.

  1장부터 2장까지는 유다를 포함한 이스라엘의 주변 7개 국가를 향한 심판의 메시지를 선포하고 있다. 그리고 3장부터 6장까지는 이스라엘에 임할 하나님의 심판의 불가피성을 밝힌 후, 심판을 피하는 길로 야웨 하나님을 찾고 공의를 행할 것을 외치고 있다. 7장부터 9장까지는 지금까지 예언한 이스라엘 멸망의 모습을 다섯 가지 환상을 통해 확인하면서 남은 자들의 회복과 메시아 왕국에 대한 하나님의 약속을 전하고 있다.

 

 

아모스 1:1-3:15

 아모스는 다메섹, 가사, 두로, 에돔, 암몬, 모압의 여섯 이방 나라와 남유다와 북이스라엘을 향해 하나님의 심판을 선포하였다. 이방 나라들은 서너 가지의 죄를 범했을 뿐 아니라 이스라엘을 대적했기에 하나님의 심판을 받게 되었다. 그리고 남유다는 야웨의 율법을 멸시하고 어긴 죄로, 북이스라엘은 사회적 불의와 우상 신전에서 가증한 짓을 행한 죄로 하나님의 심판을 받게 되었다.
  
  이방 나라의 심판(1:1-2:3)    
 
  1. テコア の 牧者の 一人であった アモス の 言葉． それは， ユダ の 王 ウジヤ と イスラエル の 王 ヨアシュ の 子 ヤロブアム の 時代， あの 地震の 二年前に， イスラエル について 示されたものである．
  2. 彼は 言った． 主は シオン からほえたけり ／ エルサレム から 聲をとどろかされる． 羊飼いの 牧草地は 乾き ／ カルメル の 頂は 枯れる．
  3. 主はこう 言われる． ダマスコ の 三つの 罪， 四つの 罪のゆえに ／わたしは 決して 赦さない． 彼らが 鐵の 打穀板を 用い ／ ギレアド を 踏みにじったからだ．
  4. わたしは ハザエル の 宮殿に 火を 放つ． 火は ベン · ハダド の 城郭をなめ 盡くす．
  5. わたしは ダマスコ 城門のかんぬきを ¿き ／ ビクアト · アベン （惡の 谷 ）から 支配者を ／ ベト · エデン （快樂の 家 ）から ／王 ヴ を 持つ 者を 斷つ． アラム の 民は キル の 地に 捕らえられて 行くと ／主は 言われる．
  1. The words of Amos, one of the shepherds of Tekoa--what he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.
  2. He said: "The LORD roars from Zion and thunders from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds dry up, and the top of Carmel withers."
  3. This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Damascus, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath . Because she threshed Gilead with sledges having iron teeth,
  4. I will send fire upon the house of Hazael that will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.
  5. I will break down the gate of Damascus; I will destroy the king who is in the Valley of Aven and the one who holds the scepter in Beth Eden. The people of Aram will go into exile to Kir," says the LORD.
  1. 主はこう 言われる． ガザ の 三つの 罪， 四つの 罪のゆえに ／わたしは 決して 赦さない． 彼らがとりこにした 者をすべて ／ エドム に 引き 渡したからだ．
  2. わたしは ガザ の 城壁に 火を 放つ． 火はその 城郭をなめ 盡くす．
  3. わたしは アシュドド から 支配者を ／ アシュケロン から 王 ヴ を 持つ 者を 斷つ． また， 手を 返して エクロン を 擊つ． ペリシテ の 殘りの 者も 滅びると ／主なる 神は 言われる．
  4. 主はこう 言われる． ティルス の 三つの 罪， 四つの 罪のゆえに ／わたしは 決して 赦さない． 彼らがとりこをすべて エドム に 引き 渡し ／兄弟の 契りを 心に 留めなかったからだ．
  5. わたしは ティルス の 城壁に 火を 放つ． 火はその 城郭をなめ 盡くす．
  1. This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath . Because she took captive whole communities and sold them to Edom,
  2. I will send fire upon the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses.
  3. I will destroy the king of Ashdod and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon. I will turn my hand against Ekron, till the last of the Philistines is dead," says the Sovereign LORD.
  4. This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath . Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom, disregarding a treaty of brotherhood,
  5. I will send fire upon the walls of Tyre that will consume her fortresses."
  1. 主はこう 言われる． エドム の 三つの 罪， 四つの 罪のゆえに ／わたしは 決して 赦さない． 彼らが 劍で 兄弟を 追い ／憐れみの 情を 捨て ／いつまでも 怒りを 燃やし ／長く 憤りを 抱き 續けたからだ．
  2. わたしは テマン に 火を 放つ． 火は ボツラ の 城郭をなめ 盡くす．
  3. 主はこう 言われる． アンモン の 人¿の 三つの 罪， 四つの 罪のゆえに ／わたしは 決して 赦さない． 彼らは ギレアド の 妊婦を 引き 裂き ／領土を 廣げようとしたからだ．
  4. わたしは ラバ の 城壁に 火をつける． 火はその 城郭をなめ 盡くす． 戰いの 日に 勘の 聲があがる ／嵐の 日に 烈風が 吹く 中で．
  5. 彼らの 王は 高官たちと 共に ／捕囚となって 連れ 去られると ／主は 言われる．
  1. This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Edom, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath . Because he pursued his brother with a sword, stifling all compassion, because his anger raged continually and his fury flamed unchecked,
  2. I will send fire upon Teman that will consume the fortresses of Bozrah."
  3. This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not turn back {my wrath}. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders,
  4. I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah that will consume her fortresses amid war cries on the day of battle, amid violent winds on a stormy day.
  5. Her king will go into exile, he and his officials together," says the LORD.
 
 
  1. 主はこう 言われる． モアブ の 三つの 罪， 四つの 罪のゆえに ／わたしは 決して 赦さない． 彼らが エドム の 王の 骨を 燒き， 灰にしたからだ．
  2. わたしは モアブ に 火を 放つ． 火は ケリヨト の 城郭をなめ 盡くす． 勘の 聲があがり， 角笛が 鳴り 響く 中で ／混亂のうちに モアブ は 死ぬ．
  3. わたしは 治める 者をそこから 絶ち ／その 高官たちも 皆殺しにすると ／主は 言われる．
  1. This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Moab, even for four, I will not turn back {my wrath}. Because he burned, as if to lime, the bones of Edom's king,
  2. I will send fire upon Moab that will consume the fortresses of Kerioth. Moab will go down in great tumult amid war cries and the blast of the trumpet.
  3. I will destroy her ruler and kill all her officials with him," says the LORD.
 
  남유다와 북이스라엘의 심판(2:4-3:15)    
 
  1. 主はこう 言われる． ユダ の 三つの 罪， 四つの 罪のゆえに ／わたしは 決して 赦さない． 彼らが 主の 敎えを 拒み ／その ¿を 守らず ／先祖も 後を 追った 僞りの 神によって ／惑わされたからだ．
  2. わたしは ユダ に 火を 放つ． 火は エルサレム の 城郭をなめ 盡くす．
  3. 主はこう 言われる． イスラエル の 三つの 罪， 四つの 罪のゆえに ／わたしは 決して 赦さない． 彼らが 正しい 者を 金で ／貧しい 者を 靴一足の 値で 賣ったからだ．
  4. 彼らは 弱い 者の 頭を 地の 塵に 踏みつけ ／惱む 者の 道を 曲げている． 父も 子も 同じ 女のもとに 通い ／わたしの 聖なる 名を 汚している．
  5. 祭壇のあるところではどこでも ／その 傍らに 質にとった 衣を 廣げ ／科料として 取り 立てたぶどう 酒を ／神殿の 中で 飮んでいる．
  1. This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Judah, even for four, I will not turn back {my wrath}. Because they have rejected the law of the LORD and have not kept his decrees, because they have been led astray by false gods, the gods their ancestors followed,
  2. I will send fire upon Judah that will consume the fortresses of Jerusalem."
  3. This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Israel, even for four, I will not turn back {my wrath}. They sell the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals.
  4. They trample on the heads of the poor as upon the dust of the ground and deny justice to the oppressed. Father and son use the same girl and so profane my holy name.
  5. They lie down beside every altar on garments taken in pledge. In the house of their god they drink wine taken as fines.
  1. その 行く 手から ／ アモリ 人を 滅ぼしたのはわたしだ． 彼らは レバノン 杉の 木のように 高く ／¿の 木のように 强かったが ／わたしは， 上は 梢の 實から ／下はその 根に 至るまで 滅ぼした．
  2. お 前たちを エジプト の 地から 上らせ ／四十年の 間， 導いて 荒れ 野を 行かせ ／ アモリ 人の 地を 得させたのはわたしだ．
  3. わたしはお 前たちの 中から 預言者を ／若者の 中から ナジル 人を 起こした． イスラエル の 人¿よ， そうではないかと ／主は 言われる．
  4. しかし， お 前たちは ナジル 人に 酒を 飮ませ ／預言者に， 預言するなと 命じた．
  5. 見よ， わたしは 麥束を 滿載した 車が ／わだちで 地を 裂くように ／お 前たちの 足もとの 地を 裂く．
  1. "I destroyed the Amorite before them, though he was tall as the cedars and strong as the oaks. I destroyed his fruit above and his roots below.
  2. "I brought you up out of Egypt, and I led you forty years in the desert to give you the land of the Amorites.
  3. I also raised up prophets from among your sons and Nazirites from among your young men. Is this not true, people of Israel?" declares the LORD.
  4. "But you made the Nazirites drink wine and commanded the prophets not to prophesy.
  5. "Now then, I will crush you as a cart crushes when loaded with grain.
  1. そのときは， 素早い 者も 逃げ 遲れ ／强い 者もその 力を 振るいえず ／勇者も 自分を 救いえない．
  2. 弓を 引く 者も 立っていられず ／足の 速い 者も 逃げおおせず ／馬に 乘る 者も 自分を 救いえない．
  3. 勇者の 中の 雄¿しい 者も ／その 日には 裸で 逃げる， と 主は 言われる．
  1. The swift will not escape, the strong will not muster their strength, and the warrior will not save his life.
  2. The archer will not stand his ground, the fleet-footed soldier will not get away, and the horseman will not save his life.
  3. Even the bravest warriors will flee naked on that day," declares the LORD.
 
 
  1. イスラエル の 人¿よ ／主がお 前たちに 告げられた 言葉を 聞け． ――わたしが エジプト の 地から 導き 上った ／全部族に 對して ――
  2. 地上の 全部族の 中からわたしが 選んだのは ／お 前たちだけだ． それゆえ， わたしはお 前たちを ／すべての 罪のゆえに 罰する．
  3. 打ち 合わせもしないのに ／二人の 者が 共に 行くだろうか．
  4. 獲物もないのに ／獅子が 森の 中でほえるだろうか． 獲物を 捕らえもせずに ／若獅子が 穴の 中から 聲をとどろかすだろうか．
  5. 餌が 仕掛けられてもいないのに ／鳥が 地上に 降りて 來るだろうか． 獲物もかからないのに ／┼が 地面から 跳ね 上がるだろうか．
  1. Hear this word the LORD has spoken against you, O people of Israel--against the whole family I brought up out of Egypt:
  2. "You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your sins."
  3. Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?
  4. Does a lion roar in the thicket when he has no prey? Does he growl in his den when he has caught nothing?
  5. Does a bird fall into a trap on the ground where no snare has been set? Does a trap spring up from the earth when there is nothing to catch?
  1. 町で 角笛が 吹き 鳴らされたなら ／人¿はおののかないだろうか． 町に 災いが 起こったなら ／それは 主がなされたことではないか．
  2. まことに， 主なる 神はその 定められたことを ／僕なる 預言者に 示さずには ／何事もなされない．
  3. 獅子がほえる ／誰が 恐れずにいられよう． 主なる 神が 語られる ／誰が 預言せずにいられようか．
  4. アシュドド の 城郭に 向かって ／ エジプト の 地にある 城郭に 向かって 告げよ． サマリア の 山に 集まり ／そこに 起こっている 狂亂と 壓政を 見よ．
  5. 彼らは 正しくふるまうことを 知らないと ／主は 言われる． 彼らは 不法と 亂暴を 城郭に 積み 重ねている．
  1. When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble? When disaster comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it?
  2. Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.
  3. The lion has roared-- who will not fear? The Sovereign LORD has spoken-- who can but prophesy?
  4. Proclaim to the fortresses of Ashdod and to the fortresses of Egypt: "Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria; see the great unrest within her and the oppression among her people."
  5. "They do not know how to do right," declares the LORD, "who hoard plunder and loot in their fortresses."
  1. それゆえ， 主なる 神はこう 言われる． 敵がこの 地を 圍み ／お 前の 砦を 倒し， 城郭を 略奪する．
  2. 主はこう 言われる． 羊飼いが 獅子の 口から 二本の 後足 ／あるいは 片耳を 取り 戾すように ／ イスラエル の 人¿も 取り 戾される． 今は サマリア にいて 豪奢な 寢台や ／ ダマスコ 風の 長いすに 身を 橫たえていても．
  3. 万軍の 神， 主なる 神は 言われる． 聞け， ヤコブ の 家に 警告せよ．
  4. わたしが イスラエル の 罪を 罰する 日に ／ ベテル の 祭壇に 罰を 下す． 祭壇の 角は 切られて 地に 落ちる．
  5. わたしは 冬の 家と 夏の 家を 打ち 壞す． 象牙の 家は 滅び， 大邸宅も 消えうせると ／主は 言われる．
  1. Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "An enemy will overrun the land; he will pull down your strongholds and plunder your fortresses."
  2. This is what the LORD says: "As a shepherd saves from the lion's mouth only two leg bones or a piece of an ear, so will the Israelites be saved, those who sit in Samaria on the edge of their beds and in Damascus on their couches. "
  3. "Hear this and testify against the house of Jacob," declares the Lord, the LORD God Almighty.
  4. "On the day I punish Israel for her sins, I will destroy the altars of Bethel; the horns of the altar will be cut off and fall to the ground.
  5. I will tear down the winter house along with the summer house; the houses adorned with ivory will be destroyed and the mansions will be demolished," declares the LORD.
