- 「あなたがたも 聞いているとおり， 『姦淫するな 』と 命じられている．
- しかし， わたしは 言っておく． みだらな 思いで 他人の 妻を 見る 者はだれでも， 旣に 心の 中でその 女を 犯したのである．
- もし， 右の 目があなたをつまずかせるなら， えぐり 出して 捨ててしまいなさい． 體の 一部がなくなっても， 全身が 地獄に 投げ ¿まれない 方がましである．
- もし， 右の 手があなたをつまずかせるなら， 切り 取って 捨ててしまいなさい． 體の 一部がなくなっても， 全身が 地獄に 落ちない 方がましである． 」
- 「『妻を 離緣する 者は， 離緣狀を 渡せ 』と 命じられている．

- Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
- But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
- And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
- And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
- It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

- しかし， わたしは 言っておく． 不法な 結婚でもないのに 妻を 離緣する 者はだれでも， その 女に 姦通の 罪を 犯させることになる． 離緣された 女を 妻にする 者も， 姦通の 罪を 犯すことになる． 」
- 「また， あなたがたも 聞いているとおり， 昔の 人は， 『僞りの 誓いを 立てるな． 主に 對して 誓ったことは， 必ず 果たせ 』と 命じられている．
- しかし， わたしは 言っておく． 一切誓いを 立ててはならない． 天にかけて 誓ってはならない． そこは 神の 玉座である．
- 地にかけて 誓ってはならない． そこは 神の 足台である． エルサレム にかけて 誓ってはならない． そこは 大王の 都である．
- また， あなたの 頭にかけて 誓ってはならない． 髮の 毛一本すら， あなたは 白くも 黑くもできないからである．

- But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
- Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
- But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
- Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
- Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

- あなたがたは， 『然り， 然り 』『否， 否 』と 言いなさい． それ 以上のことは， 惡い 者から 出るのである． 」
- 「あなたがたも 聞いているとおり， 『目には 目を， 齒には 齒を 』と 命じられている．
- しかし， わたしは 言っておく． 惡人に 手向かってはならない． だれかがあなたの 右の 頰を 打つなら， 左の 頰をも 向けなさい．
- あなたを 訴えて 下着を 取ろうとする 者には， 上着をも 取らせなさい．
- だれかが， 一 ミリオン 行くように 强いるなら， 一緖に 二 ミリオン 行きなさい．

- But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
- Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
- But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
- And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
- And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

- 求める 者には 與えなさい． あなたから 借りようとする 者に， 背を 向けてはならない． 」
- 「あなたがたも 聞いているとおり， 『隣人を 愛し， 敵を 憎め 』と 命じられている．
- しかし， わたしは 言っておく． 敵を 愛し， 自分を 迫害する 者のために 祈りなさい．
- あなたがたの 天の 父の 子となるためである． 父は 惡人にも 善人にも 太陽を 昇らせ， 正しい 者にも 正しくない 者にも 雨を 降らせてくださるからである．
- 自分を 愛してくれる 人を 愛したところで， あなたがたにどんな 報いがあろうか． 徵稅人でも， 同じことをしているではないか．

- Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
- Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
- But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
- That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
- For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

- 自分の 兄弟にだけ ¿¿したところで， どんな 優れたことをしたことになろうか． 異邦人でさえ， 同じことをしているではないか．
- だから， あなたがたの 天の 父が 完全であられるように， あなたがたも 完全な 者となりなさい． 」

- And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
- Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
