- そこで， 天の 國は 次のようにたとえられる． ある 王が， 家來たちに 貸した 金の 決濟をしようとした．
- 決濟し 始めたところ， 一万 タラントン 借金している 家來が， 王の 前に 連れて 來られた．
- しかし， 返濟できなかったので， 主君はこの 家來に， 自分も 妻も 子も， また 持ち 物も 全部賣って 返濟するように 命じた．
- 家來はひれ 伏し， 『どうか 待ってください． きっと 全部お 返しします 』としきりに 願った．
- その 家來の 主君は 憐れに 思って， 彼を 赦し， その 借金を 帳消しにしてやった．

- Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
- And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
- But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
- The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
- Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

- ところが， この 家來は 外に 出て， 自分に 百 デナリオン の 借金をしている 仲間に 出會うと， 捕まえて 首を 絞め， 『借金を 返せ 』と 言った．
- 仲間はひれ 伏して， 『どうか 待ってくれ． 返すから 』としきりに 賴んだ．
- しかし， 承知せず， その 仲間を 引っぱって 行き， 借金を 返すまでと 牢に 入れた．
- 仲間たちは， 事の 次第を 見て 非常に 心を 痛め， 主君の 前に 出て 事件を 殘らず 告げた．
- そこで， 主君はその 家來を 呼びつけて 言った． 『不屆きな 家來だ． お 前が 賴んだから， 借金を 全部帳消しにしてやったのだ．

- But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
- And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
- And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
- So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
- Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

- わたしがお 前を 憐れんでやったように， お 前も 自分の 仲間を 憐れんでやるべきではなかったか． 』
- そして， 主君は 怒って， 借金をすっかり 返濟するまでと， 家來を 牢役人に 引き 渡した．
- あなたがたの 一人一人が， 心から 兄弟を 赦さないなら， わたしの 天の 父もあなたがたに 同じようになさるであろう． 」

- Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
- And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
- So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
