	출애굽기 3:1-4:31 모세는 호렙 산에서 하나님께 부르심을 받아 출애굽의 소명을 받았으나 인간적인 한계를 이유를 들어 거듭 소명을 거부하였다. 이러한 모세에게 하나님께서는 두 가지 표징과 이적을 보여 주셨고, 그 형 아론을 돕는 자로 붙여 주셨다. 이에 모세는 출애굽의 대역사를 위해 애굽으로 돌아갔다.

	모세의 소명(3:1-3:22)

モ ― セは，しゅうとでありミディアンの祭司であるエトロの羊の群れを飼っていたが，あるとき，その群れを荒れ野の奧へ追って行き，神の山ホレブに來た．

そのとき，柴の間に燃え上がっている炎の中に主の御使いが現れた．彼が見ると，見よ，柴は火に燃えているのに，柴は燃え盡きない．

モ ― セは言った．「道をそれて，この不思議な光景を見屆けよう．どうしてあの柴は燃え盡きないのだろう．」

主は，モ ― セが道をそれて見に來るのを御覽になった．神は柴の間から聲をかけられ，「モ ― セよ，モ ― セよ」と言われた．彼が，「はい」と答えると，

神が言われた．「ここに近づいてはならない．足から履物を脫ぎなさい．あなたの立っている場所は聖なる土地だから．」

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

神は續けて言われた．「わたしはあなたの父の神である．アブラハムの神，イサクの神，ヤコブの神である．」モ ― セは，神を見ることを恐れて顔を覆った．

主は言われた．「わたしは，エジプトにいるわたしの民の苦しみをつぶさに見，追い使う者のゆえに叫ぶ彼らの叫び聲を聞き，その痛みを知った．

それゆえ，わたしは降って行き，エジプト人の手から彼らを救い出し，この國から，廣¿としたすばらしい土地，乳と蜜の流れる土地，カナン人，ヘト人，アモリ人，ペリジ人，ヒビ人，エブス人の住む所へ彼らを導き上る．

見よ，イスラエルの人¿の叫び聲が，今，わたしのもとに屆いた．また，エジプト人が彼らを壓迫する有樣を見た．

今，行きなさい．わたしはあなたをファラオのもとに遣わす．わが民イスラエルの人¿をエジプトから連れ出すのだ．」

Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

モ ― セは神に言った．「わたしは何者でしょう．どうして，ファラオのもとに行き，しかもイスラエルの人¿をエジプトから導き出さねばならないのですか．」

神は言われた．「わたしは必ずあなたと共にいる．このことこそ，わたしがあなたを遣わすしるしである．あなたが民をエジプトから導き出したとき，あなたたちはこの山で神に仕える．」

モ ― セは神に尋ねた．「わたしは，今，イスラエルの人¿のところへ參ります．彼らに，『あなたたちの先祖の神が，わたしをここに遣わされたのです』と言えば，彼らは，『その名は一體何か』と問うにちがいありません．彼らに何と答えるべきでしょうか．」

神はモ ― セに，「わたしはある．わたしはあるという者だ」と言われ，また，「イスラエルの人¿にこう言うがよい．『わたしはある』という方がわたしをあなたたちに遣わされたのだと．」

神は，更に續けてモ ― セに命じられた．「イスラエルの人¿にこう言うがよい．あなたたちの先祖の神，アブラハムの神，イサクの神，ヤコブの神である主がわたしをあなたたちのもとに遣わされた．これこそ，とこしえにわたしの名／これこそ，世¿にわたしの呼び名．

And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?

And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

さあ，行って，イスラエルの長老たちを集め，言うがよい．『あなたたちの先祖の神，アブラハム，イサク，ヤコブの神である主がわたしに現れて，こう言われた．わたしはあなたたちを顧み，あなたたちがエジプトで受けてきた仕打ちをつぶさに見た．

あなたたちを苦しみのエジプトから，カナン人，ヘト人，アモリ人，ペリジ人，ヒビ人，エブス人の住む乳と蜜の流れる土地へ導き上ろうと決心した』と．

Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:

And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.

And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.

そのとき，わたしは，この民にエジプト人の好意を得させるようにしよう．出國に際して，あなたたちは何も持たずに出ることはない．

女は皆，隣近所や同居の女たちに金銀の裝身具や外套を求め，それを自分の息子，娘の身に着けさせ，エジプト人からの分捕り物としなさい．」

And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.

But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.

	모세의 귀환(4:1-4:31)

モ ― セは逆らって，「それでも彼らは，『主がお前などに現れるはずがない』と言って，信用せず，わたしの言うことを聞かないでしょう」と言うと，

主は彼に，「あなたが手に持っているものは何か」と言われた．彼が，「杖です」と答えると，

主は，「それを地面に投げよ」と言われた．彼が杖を地面に投げると，それが蛇になったのでモ ― セは飛びのいた．

主はモ ― セに，「手を伸ばして，尾をつかめ」と言われた．モ ― セが手を伸ばしてつかむと，それは手の中で杖に戾った．

「こうすれば，彼らは先祖の神，アブラハムの神，イサクの神，ヤコブの神，主があなたに現れたことを信じる．」

And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.

And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.

And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.

主は更に，「あなたの手をふところに入れなさい」と言われた．モ ― セは手をふところに入れ，それから出してみると，驚いたことには，手は重い皮膚病にかかり，雪のように白くなっていた．

主が，「手をふところに戾すがよい」と言われたので，ふところに戾し，それから出してみると，元の肌になっていた．

And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

主は彼に言われた．「一體，誰が人間に口を與えたのか．一體，誰が口を利けないようにし，耳を聞こえないようにし，目を見えるようにし，また見えなくするのか．主なるわたしではないか．

さあ，行くがよい．このわたしがあなたの口と共にあって，あなたが語るべきことを敎えよう．」

モ ― セは，なおも言った．「ああ主よ．どうぞ，だれかほかの人を見つけてお遣わしください．」

主はついに，モ ― セに向かって怒りを發して言われた．「あなたにはレビ人アロンという兄弟がいるではないか．わたしは彼が雄弁なことを知っている．その彼が今，あなたに會おうとして，こちらに向かっている．あなたに會ったら，心から喜ぶであろう．

彼によく話し，語るべき言葉を彼の口に託すがよい．わたしはあなたの口と共にあり，また彼の口と共にあって，あなたたちのなすべきことを敎えよう．

And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

And he said, O my LORD, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.

And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.

彼はあなたに代わって民に語る．彼はあなたの口となり，あなたは彼に對して神の代わりとなる．

あなたはこの杖を手に取って，しるしを行うがよい．」

モ ― セがしゅうとのエトロのもとに歸って，「エジプトにいる親族のもとへ歸らせてください．まだ元氣でいるかどうか見屆けたいのです」と言うと，エトロは言った．「無事で行きなさい．」

主はミディアンでモ ― セに言われた．「さあ，エジプトに歸るがよい，あなたの命をねらっていた者は皆，死んでしまった．」

モ ― セは，妻子をろばに乘せ，手には神の杖を携えて，エジプトの國を指して歸って行った．

And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.

And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.

And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.

And the LORD said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought thy life.

And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.

主はモ ― セに言われた．「エジプトに歸ったら，わたしがあなたの手に授けたすべての奇跡を，心してファラオの前で行うがよい．しかし，わたしが彼の心をかたくなにするので，王は民を去らせないであろう．

あなたはファラオに言うがよい．主はこう言われた．『イスラエルはわたしの子，わたしの長子である．

わたしの子を去らせてわたしに仕えさせよと命じたのに，お前はそれを斷った．それゆえ，わたしはお前の子，お前の長子を殺すであろう』と．」

途中，ある所に泊まったとき，主はモ ― セと出會い，彼を殺そうとされた．

ツィポラは，とっさに石刀を手にして息子の包皮を切り取り，それをモ ― セの兩足に付け，「わたしにとって，あなたは血の花¿です」と叫んだので，

And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.

Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

主は彼を放された．彼女は，そのとき，割禮のゆえに「血の花¿ 」と言ったのである．

主はアロンに向かって，「さあ，荒れ野へ行って，モ ― セに會いなさい」と命じられたので，彼は出かけて行き，神の山でモ ― セと會い，口づけした．

So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.

And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.

And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.

And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel:

And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

民は信じた．また，主が親しくイスラエルの人¿を顧み，彼らの苦しみを御覽になったということを聞き，ひれ伏して禮拜した．

And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
